Introduction

Greeting
Welcome hybrid Youth, Glad your here for friday service, Lets perpare our hearts for the word of God with opening prayer.
Why
We are teaching through the book of hebrew and it is both a warning and a encouragement for christians who are facing diffclut times, suffering and doubts about there christian faith but this letters Reminds them why they should endure to the end.
Story
Remember the eleven apostles were afriad and hiding right after jesus cruxifaction and after the thrid day Jesus rose and appeared to them and there grief, fear and shame turned into joy but james wsnt there and he doubt becuase he didnt see and evenually jesus appeared to him as well. Then he said to jesus my lord and my God and jesus said you belive because you saw but blessed are those who dont see and belive.
Transition
We all have seasons of doubt, shame and suffering that cause us to be distant from jesus but let us draw near to him becuase he promised he will draw near to us.

Hebrew 2:1-4

Hebrews 2:1–4 NIV
We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
Illustration
Who loves shoes, remeber like when your parenst just bought you those new sneakers you been asking for, and like the first 2 month you carefully take your shoes off, you dont carefully take them off and you clean them but 4 month later you kick them off and can care less. In the same way We at one time can show care and concern for What God has done for us then show comtempt or disregard for this salvation.
Teaching
Authour makes it clear that we need to pay attention to something important, somethings that is equally to life and dealth, if the people in the old testament who were delivered from slavery and brought to a land with milk and honey and were give the law by angels didnt escape Gods punishment. What makes us think we will escape Gods punishment if we ignore a Greater salvation. What does salvation mean it simply means to be saved or deleivered from harm. He then makes clear that this salvation wasnt a human idea or is merely a wishful thinking but he makes it clear it was annouced by Jesus christ when he was here on earth, then his 12 Apostles share about this sa;vation as well and if you needed more evidence The Holy spirit testified comfimed it with signs and wonders meaning people were given enough evidence to belive jesus christ brought about our salvation.
Story
Have you heard of the story about the athiest who got in a shipwreck, he thought he was going to drown and he asked God to save him and rifted came and he rejected, a boat with fisher men came and he rejected it and evenually he drowned and when he met God he asked him why didnt you save me and God said i sent you the rift and fishermen.
Transition
God is reminding the church that i have sent my son who shed his blood for our sins and choose to belive the son and accept his offer the bible says you are saved not by merit but by trsut if we reject him all the remains us is a fearful expection of judgemnet.

Hebrew 2:5-9

Hebrews 2:5–9 NIV
It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him? You made them a little lower than the angels; you crowned them with glory and honor and put everything under their feet.”, In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them. But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
Teaching
The author is clear the them his speaking about is us belivers, and in the present we dont steward the world like adam and eve once did but he says theres a day coming t=where we will rule the world with Jesus christ. He says that proof of such a reality is jesus himslef he was made lowered himslef from God to Man to die for sins and he was buried and then rasised from the grave and exlated above the angels. iF Jesus passed from dealth to life he is saying you will pass from dealth to life to rule the future world with Christ. That is your inherince as a son and daughter of God. But he is clear that this hasnt happened yet and it will only happend when christ returns in his second coming,
Story
As many of you have heard my testimony, that i was hurting and depressed and at a house God said 8 words that changed my life. Everything you see is temporary but im eternal and all the things i thouught were most important became less important becuase God became the most important.
Transition
What does this mean for our lifes?

Conclusion

Application
That school doenst matter, money doenst matter, work doesnt matter, no no no but it cant be the most important thing in your life. Becoming rich shouldnt be the most important thing in your life, Becoming successful in your cerear shouldnt be the most important tthing, how well you do in school should be the most importatnt but rather make it your main ambition to Know God and his will for your life. Let That be the most important and everything less second.
Story
i recently, heard athiest who is much older and he was asked what he thought about God and he said when i was young i thought the people the passed where foolsih becuase i saw all the modern technology and disregarded what they had to say. So he chased money and got riched and he said it didnt satify him, he chased a successful cerear and that didnt satisty him, and now much older he said i was should of disregard what peopel of said of the past.
Closing thought
My warning only warning is dont chase the wind only to find out it is only wind but rather chase God and let him statify your hunger.
