Dealing with Troubles
2 Corinthians 4:7-10KJV
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
This past week has been something! We have had to deal with some things that we weren’t ready for. We had made preparations sometime before but they are never enough! I am talking about the weather. And not just the snow and ice but we have had to deal with the lack of electricity as well. No light no heat, no hot water, no hot shower, no computer, no cell phone, no telephone, no email, nothing but the basics for many out there. And a lot of people are still dealing with those same problems. Our kerosene heaters and camp stove and lanterns are still at ready this moment!
2 Corinthians 12:9KJV
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ;
a. We face many problems besides this little one but instead of
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
We have been able to endure the ice storm because God is with us, we endure pain because God is with us, we endure problems knowing God is with us!
Mt 28.20 says “Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world”
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
2 Corinthians 12:7-10KJV
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
