Things of the flesh

The pattern of the world

Those evil thoughts

iii. Maybe God is reminding you of the evil that lurks in our body.

Deceitful desires

i. Ephesians 4:22–24 (NIV) — 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Ephesians 4:22–24 NIV

Set your mind.

a. Colossians 3:1–4 (NIV)
Colossians 3:1–4 NIV
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
