Your father we thank you for this day that has been set aside that we're able to use to come and study. Your word would be involved in the process of mining the jewels and your place within your word or lard goal is to go through that process of epistemological Rehabilitation where our orientation the truth is changed to come from your scripture Lord. And with that we understand and recognize that the spiritual life is lived by Grace is not a matter of work. It's not a matter of priest not a matter of the incantations or mysticism. Not a matter of our will and desire to do things the hard it is a matter of a provision has been made available to us to the person in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ there for a Reliance on that. We have trusted in his work in person for our Salvation having Not imputed in a crude to us. We know we have been made eternally alive to God certainly alive to you dear heavenly father. And so we thank you for that new realm the new Supernatural round the we can function and if we recognize that the function It Is by grace that is trusting in receiving and relying on the work that you have done on our behalf more till we come to your word that we might learn about that. We might learn about the things that are relevant to that and today that we might learn about the things relevant to the church and the distinctive that is still there for the Jewish people that we need to recognize and understand it. So we praise you we thank you. I am the Blessed name of our Lord savior Christ Jesus amen

So we've been on any interesting Journey this last year more ways than one and I'm continually reminded that God the holy spirit gives the Divine architect as we are submitted to the process of rightly dividing God's word. Of course, we are going through a Doctrine in categories of Doctrine and our teaching in our orientation, but even more specifically we have been submitted to an idea of going through scripture verse by verse and submitting to that process. It's interesting from a pastoral perspective how God always shakes that tractor or interactions between the various teachings and sermons that were involved in we have the three main studies be Wednesday night, which is a study in right now. Ezekiel in eschatology, we have the Sunday morning study, which has been a review going from Hanukkah to Christmas to New Year's dealing with the various topics that are there biblically and then jumping into an investigation of the church in light of Pentecost, which we started on the day of Pentecost back in when was that May June forget what day it was studying that we've been working our way to the book of Acts, which also dovetails into our need to reorient as a congregation to what scripture says about the church or ecclesiology the study of the things of the church and what we need to understand a lot of this is background for rightly orienting to all of the candy. Scripture but it also is relevant to our understanding of how we might function as an assembly with gifts and rolls and God is distributed for the benefit of the assembly and how those are to be utilized in what guidance we will have an app right. Now. We're dealing with the issue that comes out of her to verse 42 we read that having been converted. I'm all these 3,000-plus Jews who received the Lord Jesus Christ as their Messiah. They were oriented to Doctrine and the teaching of the Apostles. They were oriented to The Taking of communion, which is about Doctrine. So there is no such thing as communion where you just take away four in a cup and you sip it and you drink it, but you don't know what it represents. Communion is not what the Lord said before us. He set before us doctrines and precepts which we are to understand which we are thinking about at the time that we take communion. So we have again the orientation to the apostles teaching in orientation to the doctrine of communion and an orientation to prayer which is again application of Bible Doctrine in our soul in our fellowship with God and then that Word Fellowship itself has to do with how we connect on a point of Truth with God in his we are examining his truth which he is set before us there is that Fellowship that we have that is the basis or the key of Fellowship Fellowship is rightly orienting towards the doctrine of God has set before us. Male, some people may think that's dry. I need a little get up and go and my Sunday morning service. We need to clap our hands and shout and jump up and down a little bit but maybe not so much here, but there are many places. Look at that seems to be what they want or at least I need some hugs and some smiles when I come in the door to feel good about what's going on. Well, that's all good. That's nice. Nothing wrong with that. But that is not full of s*** photo ship is thinking of touching on the things of God and in the filling of the spirit as I am focused and I am unable to walk in the power of the spirit. God himself can mix with me is I am orienting towards truth. We have spent some time looking at Ephesians 5:18 where it says do not be filled with wine, but rather be filled by means of the Examine that and showed you that it doesn't actually say be filled up with this. It's not like we're the cop and the Holy Spirit is the coffee that gets poured in and we get filled up with the spirit rather. It says by means of the spirit. What were filled up with is not the spirit per se but we are filled with the spirit. We do have the presence of God the Holy Spirit, but we're filled up with as we looked at the pillow passage and clock Shannon's chapter 3. We are filled up with the word of God. It is the word of God that the Holy Spirit fills us with so we're to be constantly Orion. It's a Doctrine to doctrinal teaching to the word of God that is where we have that connection. There is a joy cuz I just don't know how to express in any other way that comes from. Spending time in God's word whose I spend time in the study of God's word. There is within my being a rejoicing there is within my being a sense of the rightness of God's order. That's why when we hear someone teaching incorrectly or wrongly or with a orientation that is not Grace Orient. It is not doctor oriented or they have the misunderstanding of the things of the spirit. So they're pneumatology is incorrect. We have a wind scene inside because we have learned proper Doctrine like that is a ride, but then when we hear the right thing the right teaching and it's about Grace it's about the work that God himself does the word that God the Holy Spirit does man we have that sense of rejoicing inside. So that has been happening in following our track of what we're reviewing the next chapter 2 with all of those brand new Believers that has been happening with them and Peter addresses that in the Epistle of First Peter and he talks about these basic doctrines really in many ways our review of what time to be happening at the beginning and Acts chapter 2. the idea Yeah, is that there's some essential things you need to understand number one Peter starts out in chapter 1 in the last portion, which we studied through here about 3 weeks ago. Number one we have the idea that we are oriented to understand that salvation is from the seed of God of gods were heard of that. The word in the vocabulary for seed use there in 1st Peter is the same term same idea that we get sperm from that is it is the basis of conception. It is the basis of causing fertility that word comes into the being of a person they receive it just like a pig or an ovum receives the sperm and then we have life and that's what happens at that moment, but it is different than biological life. And Peter makes it very clear. It is the Eternal Word of God. It is an eternal seed or an eternal sperm. If you will the comes and causes this life and that is the moment at which we are regenerate that is we are born again. We are made and brought to a point of new life that has the word of God which we have Reese. Therefore we are changed in a sense that new spiritual life begins. And it is Peter says eternal life because the word is eternal. The sperm is eternal there for when we receive it. We are made you truly alive. That is the nature of the new life when we are born into new life. We are made eternally alive. It's not a life that can come and go but I might have it today and lose it tomorrow like some of your minions might teach or minions would be your opinion costals. Hello. I've got the spirit. I got the spirit. Oh, I've lost my salvation. That would be the Pentecostal view or maybe some of your friends so you can go to one of the Wesleyan style churches the we have a few of them around here and I won't name names specifically but come up to me afterwards and all let you in on who they are. But the idea that they have is all that person's following a life of sin now they were doing good. But now they're not doing good. And so obviously they lost their salvation because they don't have the fruit that shows that they're born. Again. That's an Armenian view. What God is saying, is it somehow you had me Turtle life, but then you lost it. That's not Eternal lie to see Eternal goes on forever forever and ever were in fine. So for our perspective eternity is here for word, and it keeps on going without ever stopping that is eternity from our perspective. There's even more to it than that. We might say they're from God's perspective. There is also the idea of eternal life has to do with the volume of what is available to you. Also the strength the Vitality the resources that are eminently right now available to you at every situation you are in throughout your Christian Life. There is more life available to you. Then you have the capacity to handle. Eternal life is beyond your grasp and yet you haven't you've been given that you've been made in Eternal creature. So this idea is then that you are born it is any true life. Therefore you must understand the some people call the once saved always saved view of Christianity or we might call it the security of your salvation. That is your salvation is secure yourselves a shin is certain because you are born of God. You did not warn yourself. It's not how it happens. We don't born ourselves. We're not amoebas. We don't split off and say oh

We can't do that when we can't generate ourselves. Not a single one of us just showed up on this few we might wonder about but none of us just showed up on this Earth. We are all born of a mother and a father that came together. And therefore there was a generation of life and in the case of eternal life. That is we receive the word of God. We are made generatore born again. So what I'm trying to paint is an idea to Peter here was confusing and his first epistle and when he gets through all of that when he makes all of his statements about the word of God and about the nature of our salvation and he steps in the First Peter chapter 2, and he says this thing he says put aside and he gives a list of mental attitude sins put aside all of these things. Chains which will inhibit your growth that is if you have any Turtle nature, but you block The Taking of the food which is eternal eat turtle food needed to grow in your Eternal nature in your Eternal spiritual life. If you don't take him that food, you won't grow and he says you need to put upside all of these until we went through that list of different middle-latitude sins that are there allowed you to address those and see those we are the best those put them aside. Not only put them aside but we are to do that putting off and putting on of the new what are we putting off soon? Make sure how do we do that by confession of sin? And then cuz he had just confessed soon and then it's over with Because Paul tells us in multiple Epistles. We have to put off the old and put on the new in Ephesians even gives us examples. He says if you are a lawyer, then you are to put that off and speak words of truth. He senior fill the void of the sin by confessing and then living the spiritually empowered life is as if you're a thief you are to put away the thieving and become employed make sure that you are a person who has gained by virtue of employment and through the abundance the God gives you an unemployment. Then you are to give to the poor and help those people in need. So you go from one who is stealing and robbing others by virtue of taking what is not yours to being a person of productivity is and then gives of your productivity to others. This is a supernatural reality. Funny the Divine institution principles match it in terms of responsibility. If our nation weren't you overnight switch from the entitlement mentality that we live in all these individuals for living off of the teat of the government that is they are getting their resources or money their cell phones or apartments the provisions for all of their six kids from five different fathers, whatever it maybe if we were to move away from that the whole situation looks very different. We are not to be those who steal we are to be those who work and therefore have means and therefore give we have much in the ghettos where the individuals have learned you either get it by fraud with the government stealing from the government and a system of socialism where in you're taking from other people or I doing illicit drugs, which is against stealing. From the resources of others and then those people who are involved in the use of drugs or stealing from other places to get the money to pay the people who are stealing really / for their community. So there is a multiple levels of Deceit and fraud and lying and all of that that is going on and answer is to become productive. But you see the difference between the believer in the unbeliever is that the believer has Supernatural means to be involved in these things and there are Supernatural rewards by being involved in these things as I put off soon. Goodnight take on the new there is a change that happened to our Supernatural benefits. God is glorified in that process is I depend on him because I work in the power of the spirit is I am gauge the doctor. Orientation is I'm engaged and Grace orientation. God is glorified the Lord Jesus Christ Who provided the means is glorify God the Holy Spirit who is involved in the lifting up of the individual the supporting in the empowerment is glorified. The whole different process and it man just does it by himself any man can do that stop doing one thing and start doing another anyone can change from a bad habit to a good habit. Everyone can do that. But to utilize Super Natural Resources only a Believer can do that anime. Look the same from the outside looking in we may say or do will that person has changed her life. Good for that. They may say they pulled themselves up by their bootstraps. That is they had the Jena se qua to be able to do that, which is needed to get them into a productive life.

Or we might say, oh look at that person who's a Believer how much they have changed in their motivation in there thinking they are actually dependent on God and look at how God meets their every need and every situation. They learn to live by faith rest in the character in the person of God. He is providing you see we as Believers have the ability oftentimes to perceive that sometimes people who have eyes opened and 10 is ready. They are open to the gospel, but they haven't stepped through that place of Faith. They haven't been born again yet, but oftentimes are aware. They see it they get it. They see that there's something that they don't have that. Is there remember sitting on the back porch in my parents house many many decades ago and the neighbor from across the street neighbors were over in there visiting with Mom and Dad on the back porch and sitting there talking and stuff and my mom had that, you know been through a brain tumor and all kinds of issues had to have brain surgery back in the 80s 81 remember repercussions of the for that adapter and my mom was saying, you know, it's just

she was explaining my my mom has a way of being transparent sheet as a person whom there is no guile. She doesn't pretend to thing you just is who she is and says what's going on and she says, you know people may look at me or not.

But see what's going on not understand how dependent I am on God and the people who are sitting there the neighbors who are not Believers said, oh we can absolutely see that you're depending on God and the God is taking care of you. But they were born again Believers and yet they could perceive they could see it. They were very aware that God was involved in that why so be aware that that is the case that is possible there many unbelievers who still have the ability to perceive which means that they are open to the gospel and that the Lord is Ministry and witnessing to them so you can share and be involved in that process. So again back to 1st Peter chapter 2 Paul or Peter Peter Peter. Peter says put away all these ways of thinking is mental attitude since because every one of these blocks takes away your desire for the doctrine and for the word of God. This is key. This is a baby believer thing because he is saying now it's interesting. He doesn't say you are all to be like babies.

You are oriented towards baby milk in the baby food know he's saying something different. You says you are all to be like babies in the sense that you have a funker and a thirst for milk milk of the doctrine of God's word. You were to have an appetite for God's word that is only like that which a newborn baby has Which they eat breathe sleep poop. A nurse, that's all they do. That's all they wanted and there's crying baby crying and keeping you up seems to be part of it. No sleep allowed for the parents. But the idea here is it weird to have but absolutely need a desire and absorption for the word of God. Now if things are right in your life that will be the case. If you don't have a desire for God's word, if you don't have that itch like, it's Sunday morning. I need to get down there. I can't do it, but I'm going to do it anyways, because I need to hear I need to drink I need to take him God's word. That's a good sign. It doesn't matter what your baby believer or you're an adult believer. The issue is the same weird having an intense desire computer lays it out there. There's just a handful of things are going to get between you and the word of God is so you were to deal with these using Supernatural means you might have a supernatural hunger. Which is normal and healthy in the Supernatural realm so Peter dwells deals with that and then he pops into that passage, which we reviewed Verses 4 through 10 of 1st Peter chapter 2 and there are he explained to us a couple of things.

Number one. He's addressing because Peter is the Apostle to the Jews as Paul is the Apostle to the Gentiles Peter is the Apostle to the Jews and so 1st Peter and 2nd Peter are what we call Jewish Epistles. The target audience is Jews not all believers is not writing to the Gentiles know that's important because I'm Verses 4 through 10. There are things that are specifically addressed to the Jews that are not addressed to the Gentiles. And so we spend a couple of weeks digging into that going through and reviewing that No.

We catch the slides up here.

Ugly went through that process. We uncovered a number of ways in which this passage only refers to Jews but does not refer to all of the church there certain distinctives in there. That's what we're working on right now is the Hebrew Christian.

For the Messianic Jewish distinctive that is what is different. What is distinct for a Jewish believer right now in the church age?

What is different for a Jew than it is for a gentile? That's part of what we've been working on the last week. We took a look at the the bremec Covenant.

So we have essentially Four Points.

So the distinctives lie in four lines of Doctrine or four points of biblical truth. How are the Jews different?

We have the abramo Covenant you see the abramo coming and we went through we study that is to the descendants of Abraham. So if you are a descendant of Abraham, then this applies to you if you have Jewish background, if you have Jewish Family Heritage FedEx in this applies to you, there isn't a bramon covenant. It is still available to those who are Jews whether they're saved or not saying for you now you are to be saved. If you want to go to heaven you are to be saved. If you want to have eternal life you are to be saved if you want to step into the fullness of the experience, but the promise to the Jewish people is through Abraham. The second thing we see it. We're going to look at the second third and fourth points today. We have the doctrine of the remnant. We're going to beat review. So this is a specific principle that is called out in the text of scripture the doctrine of the remnant. So you should understand the concept of Remnant. It is those people who are left over if you remove a bunch of people those who left are the remnant if a bunch of people are killed those who lived are the remnant if you have a mission like Israel or the Jewish people and only a portion believe on your shoe at Jesus as their machines as their Messiah they are the remnant of God. The believing Jews are the remnant thanks will be looking at that and then we have the doctrine of the Olive Tree. Which Paul presents Us in Romans chapter 9 10 and 11. We have that passage where he is explaining what's going on with the Jewish people in with Israel. And how do we Gentiles relate to that? And so we have the doctrine of the Olive Tree? We need to examine that so in short what it means is that we come by haven't been grafted into the tree. We have benefits they come from the Jewish people, but God is not cutting off. The Jewish people is the entire point and they will be grafted back into the tree their unbelieving now when they believe they will be grafted back into the tree and then fourth we we have the doctrine of the Israel of God. So we have the house of Israel, which is all Jews believing and unbelieving and then we have the Israel of God and distinct way the god addresses a group of people in those group of people are Jewish Believers. We need to understand that there are distinct is there are difference is that scripture makes about Jewish people than from the gentile people in that should be in our mind reading through Acts chapter two going through that passage because it is all Jewish people at that point beginning of the church age is Jewish people who are the remnant of Israel are those who are say the church is built on the back of Jesus and the Gentiles are grafted into that. And so we're going to dress that.

Couple of questions that I had left for you guys to be thinking through his are there distinct is left in place a scripture is determined for us that need to be noted. So that's what we're answering. So you get to think about where answering this question or their distinctive and I just laid out the four lines. We're going to be pursuing so last week we pursued the abrahamic Covenant other question. We had is are the Jews and Gentiles alike in one single homogeneous mixture. Or do we need to think differently about our Jewish Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Do they function different in the spiritual life? Do they have different promises available to them? How do we need to understand that so that's part of what we're making sure we understand as I mentioned before what we are up to right now is taking the systematic View and understanding of what Arnold fruchtenbaum is called is real study of Israel has been missing from all of the Systematic Theology that is out there. Even our own history though. It's been right in many ways is not fully expose or brought forward the doctrine of Israel ologies to work making sure that we are spending some time on that. So we have those distinctive in mine. Rights were picking up on the doctrine of the remnant. the doctrine of the rims

So the second base is the first was the Brannock Covenant the second basis of the Hebrew Christian distinctive is described and Romans chapter 11 verses 1 through 10. So we're going to read that Romans 11 verses 1 through 10. Who Paul is addressing this?

Vanessa Guillen

No, no, it's just different terminologies and some people like to use one term or another or just like anything. You know, you have a house you have a home you got a place whatever we want to call it. You know, you got your Mansion everyone is a different way of viewing the same thing. So there are many who are out there. But who because they are part of the Jewish Community to his cousins, you know, a Jewish Family Jewish people who know that they're Jewish they want to say I'm a Messianic Jew Cuz they're saying I'm not following the ortho Orthodox Judaism or Reform Judaism, but I'm actually following this idea that Jesus or are you sure he is the best the Messiah or in the Hebrew the machine. The way the Jews understand him how they hear it. So they want to have something that doesn't come across Tenney. If you will, sometimes we hear someone say something in the way they say it doesn't ring right but has a Tim sound to camera goes back to the days when we started out and radio and you can hear certain types of the microphones and sounds were recording. There's a warmth that came across so people would sit around their radios listening to the shows and there is a warrant the sense that you're there you could hear the motion and the breadth of the Mission of the people's voices when he got a different kind of Mike and I have it in the sound like there is a 10-cup there and it was the reverberating it just sounds off and not right. So that's the idea of something sounding too and it's a mini who are Jewish hearing about Jesus sounds to me but it should because there was no Jesus actually he was Joshua. His Hebrew name jeshua, which is the same as Joshua. It's the exact same Hebrew word and name Joshua. God Saves what it means and so when they hear it in the Hebrew that I can actually hear it instead of this westernized weird it up way that we have transliterated the sound and everything, you know from the Hebrew to the Greek and from the Greek to the Latin Latin to English. The moon were walking around talking about Jesus has absolutely nothing in common with your shoe up. so what they're doing by saying Messianic Jews is they're taking away the two meanest and they're giving a recep tivity and an ability for other Jews build to hear what's going on with him to not immediately put up roadblocks and say oh you're talking about

Doesn't sound right doesn't make sense. If you have a Jewish background, it's kind of a crazy weird thing. But if they're talking about there a Messianic Jew and they have come to believe in Yeshua as the meshiaak mean. They're going to tell me more about that. The instant revulsion and repulsion what's being said doesn't come up. So that is one of the reasons why they want to call themselves Messianic Jews who call themselves completed Jews or talk about others as completed use because they are a Jew but has come to completion as the point of being Jewish and having found the real Messiah. That is Jesus. So, why'd you are to our passage then I save in has God Cast Away his people. Which you speaking of? the Jewish people He says certainly not it's actually a strong statement that Paul uses again and again throughout the book.

The Book of Romans he says for I also he says I am an Israelite so Israelite is who he's talking about his people

The Seed of Abraham see how important this is, but it is every juice every person with a promise comes from the CD. That is they are down line. Probably knows any ancestor Abraham of The Tribe of Benjamin. So he's making a point. Not only is he of the Seed of Abraham, but he is up one of the 12 tribes of Israel or Jacob and that happens to be the Tribe of Benjamin Benjamin was the good-looking happy-go-lucky last child born to Jacob and the 12th son. It was the son the love of Jacob's life. The one that he could not live without especially after having lost Joseph the way that his brothers took him and threw in a bit and then pretended like he was dead when they sold them off to a traveling slavers.

And Paul is tracing his roots back you saying I am not only of Abraham. I have my Benjamin the distinctive is here. I know it and I'm keeping it by Castaway his people whom he foreknew or do you not know what the scripture says of Elijah? How he pleads with God against Israel. Saying boo, or they have killed your prophets and torn down your altar. alone, and I'm left the receipt my life now was

Rewind your right was he alone left? No, that was a response. That was a reaction. You had a sense that there was nothing left, but it was only he would have made it through the Judgment that was there for all the other prophets have been killed by a band Jezebel and all of the all of the altars. I've been torn down. That is the place of worship. Beyond basic my life

before but what does the Divine response say to him? I have reserved for myself 7000 men who have not bowed the knee to Baal. They have not bowed. We need to bail. 7000 thousand men

No notice this back in verse 3.

I alone am left but they're seeking to kill me. He's saying I'm the remnant. I'm all that's left but God is saying no, there's actually a larger rementin. You know, there are 7000 Will Not Bow the knee to Baal in the land of Israel the northern kingdom. There are seven thousand men who are faithful to me who are honoring me respond. I even sold in Paul says at this present time.

There is a remnant. according to the election of Grace There is a Remnant according to the election of Grace know what we're saying here. Is this not talking about predestination, but there are those who are

Appointed to survive when everyone else is appointed to destruction. What we're saying here is that God has a plan and a provision and in that plan in the provision. There is a Grace presentation, but in his plan and his provision he knew and understood there would be many who would follow after. so Paul is addressing this issue of the Jews but Jewish nation and Romans is written about a d 5052 I believe and so this is years before the fall of Jerusalem. And he's addressing this idea that the Jews have been dislocated and then taken out of the planet. So, you know know there's plenty of Jews who believe and God has established a man called them and they're believing Jews. He is saying here are the remnant according to the election of Grace. There's a great plan and Grace provision. And so therefore there are Jews who have been said then it's part of his eternal plan. He has elected that he will protect and provide and Israel that is the descendants of Abraham will continue until he returns and then all Israel will be saved will have the Messianic Kingdom moving forward but the remnant heater in this context According to the election of Grace that means there is a remnant of those who are Jewish who have been saved.

46 and it says and if by Grace then it is no longer of Works. Otherwise Grace is no longer Grace, but it is of works. It is no longer Grace otherwise works is no longer work. So he's making a statement here that God has provided a means for those who are Jewish to be saved and that means is Grace at work. It's not by works. Yeah, you may hear a term called dual covenants dual covenants what this says is put in the Old Testament. The Jews were saved by The Works that they did keep in the law was how they were say and they will tell you this themselves rabbis teach this by their works if they were saved do we get into the reformed Jews and they start teaching you that it's actually by your orientation to scripture. As you connect the scripture to the Torah and that way you will be saved. We have a modern heresy that has jumped up and is taught by Christians who say well, it's a dual covenant. I means if you're a gentile your saved by grace, you have to appeal to the grace work of Jesus Christ. But if you're a Jew you're saying done the old-fashioned way in the Old Testament way. But you see they're mixing their Concepts in the right ideas together their confusing the Brannock Covenant with the Mosaic Covenant and they're trying to act like they are required to keep the Mosaic government in order to be saved. Let me be very clear on this. No one ever in the history of the Earth has ever been saved by keeping the Mosaic Covenant. Is that a shark? No one ever has been saved by keeping the Mosaic Covenant the law will you read an in The Exodus Leviticus Numbers and Deuteronomy? No individual was saved by the keeping of the law. The law was established for multiple purposes and their different divisive that is separate sections of the law, but long story short the Lord Jesus Christ Alone of all individuals actually was able to keep all tenants of the law number one because he wasn't a legalist. He wasn't trying to fulfil the letter of the law, but

Avoid the spirit the meaning the intent of the law brother. He understood God's intentions what he wanted what he meant and he live perfectly seamless Lee and as a Jew he kept the aspects of the law that God had communicated without sin. He was a perfect and therefore able to be presented in our place and its Perfection because he kept the Mosaic law which showed that he was perfect in every aspect. He never had to go and give a Sim off ring for his sins because he never did Sin Interesting everyone else when they send they had to go in and bring sin offerings for the sins. We have no record of the gospels tonuzi. Jesus went into offer sin offerings though because he didn't send and he was actually the savior. He was the sin offering for the whole world, but we're told that the law comes to an end because it is fulfilled in the Lord Jesus Christ and what laws at talking about the Mosaic law, so people who try to confuse the abrahamic Covenant with the Mosaic and it makes me think that there is a need to keep the law. So if no one was ever saved by keeping the law, why would someone be trying to keep the law now for salvation? Why would a Christian be teaching that the Jews need to keep the law to be saved and the Christians need to have faith in the soya to be safe? One has to have faith in the Messiah to be safe. That's the entire point of Peter.

We watched him Ascend into heaven is seated at the right hand of God, and he said his holy spirit which you are seeing now here on the temples of the steps. I'm sure Boo. It's on the day of Pentecost. You are seeing it now being poured out these people speaking in tongues. This is an indication that God the holy spirit is doing that new thing for those who turn to him who shoob respond to the messiahship of Jesus Christ.

What then must we do to be saved. They said and he said to them well He says believe be baptized and then there will be the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

So what are they believing but your shoe what is indeed the Messiah as he's been outlining as he's been speaking about in Acts chapter 2 so important that you stay with the story you keep up with the narrative you understand what's going on you make the connection to Joel chapter 2 is dealing with the issue of the shoe being of Israel before the outpouring of the Holy Spirit comes on. Now what happens in Acts chapter 2 is not what Joel to is prophesying Peter said this is like that

Freddie Gibbs the illustration and what that is actually at the New Covenant that is at the end of the tribulation when all Israel believes or shoobs Jesus Christ returns and he opens up the Messianic Kingdom in an opening up the Messianic Kingdom. He pours out his Spirit on the Jews on Jewish Believers Peter saying this is like that this is not that this is an application of that concept is for any who you pouring out his Spirit. There is a new thing that is being done here. So Paul here in Romans 11:6 the saying it's it's by Grace. You can't say there's one system for Jews and one system for Gentiles. It's all by Grace. You said it's by Grace. Then there isn't works. He's already taught them and all of Romans in the last many passages and chapters that line by line point-by-point. It's by Grace because it's by faith you believe by faith in the work of your shoe at the mess as you believe in his work at that moment. You're made regenerate your imputed righteousness. You are born again. God gives you provision and power to live a spiritual why so by the time we're up here in Romans chapter 11, he's making that reference. He's already made this point very solid. He says if it's by Grace, which I've already Established then it can no longer be of works works have nothing to do with it. He says otherwise Grace is no longer. If you put Works into the middle of it, then it's not Grace. That's why when we were talking to our calvinistic friends and we're dealing with what they call lordship Salvation. They're saying you are born again. But if you're born again, you will have works. So you're saved by faith plus works is what they're saying. They literally doing change the definition of faith or to believe when they turn into a theological donut and in the center of it, they say actually to believe means to obey. Where does it say that anywhere in Scripture? It doesn't they jump through all kinds of Hoops and put all kinds of distortions in the text to try to prove that. It is a fail concept doesn't make any sense or trying to impose a system at the Ola Gian scripture. But that's what they're trying to say. If you have faith. That means you are they doing. They were heading Works to Faith Works to Grace. And Paul here says Grace is no longer Grace if works is involved. But if it is of works, it is no longer Grace. Otherwise work is no longer work. Besides you can't mix the two so I can corn oil and water you put them together. You can shake it up and get it instantly separate because all is a oil water is water get make them blend.

Oil separate out from water and Grace is always separate from worse. You can't make oil in the water and you can't make water and oil in the same way. You can't make Gracin to works that make works in the grace 47 what Ben Israel has not obtained. What is 6?

but the elect

obtained it and the rest were blinded. So what is he saying here? Saying that Israel trying to obtain through works is trying to seek salvation is trying to seek one miss with God but they're trying to do it through work. He said they aren't able to do it, but the elect. Here that is those who are born again. The born-again Jews have obtained it because they have crossed it in the provision in the work of your shoes, which they received by grace through faith Miss as in the rest were blinded everyone else of Israel who refused you shua Jesus we're blinded but I did not see they did not perceive because they refused it's not that they were blind and therefore they refused. Make sure you get that distinction. They refused the Messiah it's an act of the will it's a decision. We will not have that man rule over us. We will not have that Jesus rule over us. Sadducees the Pharisees those in the Sanhedrin the leading group of individuals who ruled over Israel kind of like the knesset today people of power and authority the elected body says we will not have that man rule over us.

So they refused therefore they were blinded. They were blinded to the truth to the understanding. Because when they did see they refuse therefore they could no longer see it's not that they couldn't see it. So they lost out there. That's not the way God works. God always gives us the ability to see to understand there is always a volitional component that's involved in blindness. We choose to not be there for we become blind. It's a matter of scar tissue in the soul. It's a matter of reaping what we sow the repercussions of refusing God's word. Same Doctrine is true of the believer has we refused the ology is refused applicable Doctrine and we develop a blindness and inability to operate correctly or right when we become blind because we have not received it verse 8 just as it is written.

Why is it they should not see any years that they should not here to this very day because they refused Jesus as Messiah. There is a stupor.

you ever wake up in the morning and

is just Alright, you're stumbling around you're doing the wrong things. You can't figure out what's going on.

I remember one day I won't tell you what you my brothers, but one of my brothers got up and went to use the bathroom and strangely. He walked in the kitchen and did his thing into the trash that was there. And you know, we all thought it was pretty funny. But sometimes you're so sleepy that you're in the wrong place doing something different than what you think you're doing. He thought he was in the right place, you know in the bathroom doing what you do there, but no he went in the kitchen and found the trash and Hard to understand but that is a matter of stupor stupor is related to the word stupid. That is we have an inability to think there is a blockage of right functioning that happens is that they should not see ears that they should not here to this very day. Why because they reject the Messiah therefore they cannot understand the things of God. Verse 9 and David says let their table become a snare and a trap and a stumbling block and their recompense to them or recompense let their table become snare and a trap.

That means they have set the table with their thoughts their thinking and now it becomes their very destruction. They're thinking says Jesus must be admitted. He must be refused. He must be refuted there for that. Very refusing of the Messiah is now a stumbling block. It keeps them from salvation and a recompense to them. That is they are reaping what they have sowed. Where's 10 let there be dark in so that they do not see him bow down their back always so there is a darkening that has come into the people of Israel because the nation as a people they have rejected the work and the reality that Jesus Christ is their Messiah and he is the basis of salvation for Israel. So as a result, they do not see All their back always what does that mean going down your back needs to be put under labor there under the labor of trying to work out and cause work to be the substitute for that which has been given to them by grace through Freedom. They are valid under We are bowed down. We might say they are in a place where there is a burden is upon them.

So the point to this then Is that an Israel past present and future it is the one meant that is faithful to the revelation of God through his concept of a Remnant is those people who are faithful to God?

Faithful to the revelation of God. That is the unfolding of his word the

Inspiration that is in Scripture. It has been revealed to the people of Israel and there is a Remnant that are faithful to that. They follow that this is also true in this present dispensation of Grace as we call it the dispensation of Grace the Hebrew Christians are the remnant of Israel today those who are believers who are Hebrew or Jewish extraction are the remnant of Israel. So we'll make this distinction than those Jews who believe are part of the remnant of Israel. Very small subset of all juice and they are the remnant that is leaving. The regiment is always within the nation not outside of it. So it's always a subset a Remnant cannot be from outside then if people come from outside and become the remnant that's what we have with our people who try to say, although we have a Jewish descendants and we have the know the ten tribes of Israel that were lost and now they appeared in North America and we are the descendants of them.

They are trying to say that they are part of the 12 and yet in reality. They're completely from outside the they're outside of the nation of Israel. So the remin is always within the nation. Not outside of it. So the Messianic Jews the present-day Remnant are part of Israel and the Jewish people their jewishness is always distinct. It's not lost you come into Christian this true that Jewish Believers are part of the church. But the Jewish Believers are also the remnant of Israel. Which is always part of the nation of Israel and not separated from it. So Jewish Believers are part of the church and part of Israel. So a Jewish believer is part of the church just as we are but they're also part of Israel. And this is what we must understand in. Our study is an Acts chapter 2 because it's part of the progression of what is happening in Acts chapter 2. It is dealing with those people who are Jews who are the remnant of Israel and there's blessing to Israel associated with that.

One more Point here and then we'll take our break Isaiah 65 verse 8. Points out that it is Remnant that is keeping Israel as a whole alive important. We need to get this as part of the piece of the puzzle. It is the remnants that is keeping Israel as a whole life. It is the remnants of believing Jews who blessed greater unbelieving Israel by-and-large 95 + percent of Israelites living in the state of Israel right now or not believers. They are not completed use. They're not missing any Jews the congregation of converted, Messianic Jews. Is very very small yet. It is those believing Jews who are the source of blessing to all of Israel. And so these roles that they go through as a nation have to do with those Jews who believe versus those Jews who do not believe the same idea that we have been taught to us of having a pivot here in the United States that has those mature believing doctrinal oriented believers who walked in the power of the spirit and live their functional daily wife or a blessing to the nation around us. So too we get this idea from what is said here and Isaiah's let's read it that's says the Lord as the new wine is found in the cluster. Someone says do not destroy it for a blessing is in it. So will I do for my servants sake?

That I may not destroy them.

See God always has a remnant of believing Jews. This is a guarantee them because there is a remnant of believing Jews. He says Down a blessing is in it that is that Remnant is the blessing. That I may not destroy them all. So the destruction of all Israel of all unbelieving Jews is held off because there is a Remnant or a portion of those who are believing Jews The Remnant is the protector of the whole Any questions on that is that clear?

When I come back, I'm next hour after communion will deal with the doctrine of the Olive Tree the doctrine of the Olive Tree. Let's close in prayer. And only father. We thank you for this. Thank you for the ability to look at your word and find those distinctives that are clearly set there and establish that we might understand your program your program for Israel across the ages there for a for Israel to be there. There will always be a Remnant there will always be believing Jews who have received accepted the Messiah as their King their lord and the substitution for all the sin of all mankind, but specifically for themselves. So we thank you for them. We are enjoying in the place of Joy Lord knowing the we share fellowship with them and we are members of the body of Christ. That is the body of the The song I had together. The Messiah is a Jewish thing going to be part of the body of Christ is to be part of the body of the Messiah. They are the true Remnant and we are those who have been grafted in by Faith by believing in the work of the Messiah on our behalf. May. We get our Jewish Heritage where all of this comes from, but we might be rightly oriented and properly thinking about the Jewish people. That's a blessing on our time. We thank you Jesus name. Amen.

Let's start together in prayer or do you have a father this this time? We take note. Your great grace in our life. Goody spiritual life is to be lived by grace through faith. But everything that we need for spiritual life and living comes through your word and our ability to execute it is simply by faith believing trusting and relying and you and your work understanding your word that we might be transformed. As a result we come to this place to give in offering at this time. We reflect on that at this moment. We think of it and some of slip their offerings in already Lord. And now we have this moment this time just to consider you and then thankfulness as a volitional Freewill response Lord. We are proclaiming our love our joy and our great Delight in having a relationship with you and as a mark of the provision, you've given us then we give back to you, but you might be glorified that you might be exalted. We thank you and we praise you for this time in Christ Jesus mean

Will you turn the hymn number 305? I have decided to follow Jesus.

communion service on the 1st of every month take a moment for that as we for reflecting and then working our way through. Acts chapter 2 and we have departed from verse 42 want to read that to you. starting in verse 41 send

Actually worse 40 and with many other words he that is Peter testified and exhorted them saying be safe from this perverse or crooked generation. Those who have rejected the Messiah as their savior who rejected Jesus or your Joshua Jesus as being the true Messiah of Israel, and then those were only one who gladly received his word were baptized the mat day about three thousand Souls were added to them that is to the apostles in the followers of Christ. So now we have 3150 Believers at this time. A 42 they continued steadfastly in the apostles Doctrine and fellowship in the breaking of bread and prayers and so many of our commentators think really appropriately the breaking of bread is not talking about getting together and have a buffet just wasn't, you know, Jewish Buffet opportunity, but they are protecting the breaking of the bread that is the matzo in the communion table. Until we have this a lining of the concepts that is being steadfast and the apostolic Doctrine and fellowship which comes from Doctrine and therefore there is fellowship one with another because they are sharing Doctrine in common.

They have the breaking of bread which is the taking of communion again Fellowship based on Doctrine orientation to the to the last supper and the words that Christ spoke there and then lastly they are.

In prayers, so they gather together. They're taking in teaching breaking of bread and prayer. So who again forever is a doctrinal concept? It is actually taking biblical truth and taking the situation around us and addressing the a Doctrine in our relationship with God the father as we have presented the idea before there is actually more going on in prayer and some might consider some just think that it's a final Hail Mary get it out there toss it up there something is going to happen. But let's try to get that touchdown. Throw the football God help us out. But in reality when we come to God In Prayer, there is preparation for prayer in that preparation for prayer is number one. We rebound make sure the word Fellowship we want to walk in the filling in the power of God the Holy Spirit. We need to have Fellowship to be involved in prayer. Otherwise, what were engaged in is not prayer. It is between us. Did God hear everything of course you can but the purpose of prayer is to be rightly oriented towards God and it is a place of intimacy and relationship. So we are to prepare so we are in fellowship and then secondly in our prayer to God we are to ourselves by doctrinally examining the situation that's going on. We have many great examples throughout scripture. Paul gives us again and again prayers in the Epistles. Were he explains how to think these things through and I recommend that you take those four are passages and you memorize them. So do you have them in your mind? You have them in your thinking wherever you're going whatever place you're in whether you're driving the car or walking the dog or whatever. Maybe you can. You have this going through your mind for you ample and Colossians. Paul says I pray that you might be filled with the knowledge of God with wisdom and understanding you might go to walk in a manner worthy of him pleasing him in All respects. It was we memorize these passages. We find the Clue Into the doctor principles the truth of the situation. So, how am I I pray for someone else will Paul was given a fashionably great examples that we have a scripture we can take those we can pray those four other people. I hope you pray for me based on Paul's prayers as I pray for you I seek because Paul is expressing a wisdom pray that you might be filled the idea of filled in the Greek word for a row and the way that is phrase here. Three filled to overflowing be filled to the pointer as we see an example of the Apostles after the crucifixion and Christ is on the shore a trout fishing in the Sea of Galilee all object because you know what now, I mean Jesus been crucified and he's standing on the shore and it goes out to him and he says throw the net on the other side or fishermen do what they do and they pull in a completely full of fish in the term there in the Greek means filled to the point of breaking no capacity for another fish. Will Paul is bringing that in Colossians that you might be filled. with knowledge to the point of capacity to the point of not being able to take another point of Doctrine or knowledge. She wants to be filled with that way. Filled with knowledge. You might go to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord. You see our ability to walk has to do with our capacity for Doctrine and knowledge. So we're to be thinking in such ways. We had examples of a Daniel and Ezekiel and Jeremiah and looking forward to the day when the Lord is going to release the Jews from cat. Tubidy Blue Moon every case they're looking at their situation of captivity and they're saying but yet more do you determine the number of days in that time has come. So now that you might be glorified to the people will see that you are faithful to your word now is the time for the Jews to be released in May surprise.

Darius the king Cyrus the issue their proclamations we have later on the fall of Babylon under the needle Persian. So each time for the people of Israel in the people of Judah separately. There is a proclamation in a releasing of those people but it is Bible Doctrine and causing those people to call upon the name of the Lord Moses says Exodus 34 is we've been studying in our names of God study on Sunday night. He says Ward if your name is Yahweh means that you are the god of Deliverance. If you are about Mercy, if you are about sharing and placing your goodness upon thousands and thousands from generation to generation. He says that if all that you say is true, then you merciful to Israel. God says I will be merciful. We've been examining that that renews that Covenant but God had said I want to get rid of Israel is wipe them off the face of the Earth and start over with you. It'll be the nation of Moses the descendants of Moses. But in his maturity Moses had prepared therefore he had a prayer to the Lord and we're to be that same way we are to be Dr. Lee oriented in are coming to the Lord. So as we come to the place of taking the bread and the wine, I want us to be oriented to this idea thinking back to Acts 2:42 where they are in Fellowship. That is they are attending Doctrine. They're listening to teaching and then they are taking of bread or breaking bread together or having communion in the basis of this is the Messiah himself received Jesus as the Messiah recognized. He is the Messiah. So then as he said they are practicing this as often as they come together or free. What we as they come together, they are practicing communion and two things are happening there. There's an orientation to the provision through the bread that has been brought by the perfect sacrifice the Perfection that allowed Jesus Christ to be the substitutionary atonement For All Mankind the man we have the provision through the shed blood that is the satisfaction of death in the wind. The wind represents blood in the idea is that his blood has been shed. His life has been given there for a New Covenant has been expressed for Israel. New Covenant is for Israel. Now we benefit from the New Covenant but the New Covenant is not for the church. Just like the outpouring of the holy spirit is not for the church as expressed in Joel. But what God does is based on that. It is based on the satisfactory work of the Lord Jesus Christ that allows the holy spirit will be poured out on all those who believe in Jesus as the Messiah. So to the New Covenant is for the church a or not the church age but the Messianic age and we as Church age Believers simply have benefit from that benefit being that we have the ministry of God. The Holy Spirit In Our Lives will be concentrating on these things as we take our communion together.

You would Jesus is the Satisfactory perfect Lamb of God the matzo was to be striped. It was to be Peters and it was to be without leaven and the Katy simless Perfection of Lord Jesus Christ who took that punishment the stripes in the piercing on our behalf. He wasn't substitute the old atone for the sins of all mankind. Therefore recognizing the shoe with Jesus as the Messiah who took away the sins of the whole world. We joined together observation posts, and we don't say that we eat of the year.

Your heavenly father. We recognized the truth of the matter that Jesus Christ is indeed the satisfactory substitute took the payment for all of our sins upon himself. Therefore as we have relied on his work and his work alone to recognize it that free salvation through Grace the only basis of salvation by grace have been provided. We're thankful Lord. We praise you.

This, represents the shed blood of Christ which invokes a New Covenant for future Israel. And also invoke the meetings for that Covenant to be an accident this evening must be the shedding of blood in the cut scene of a contract in the Old Testament. Where is the shedding of blood because there are contracts with even more serious than ours. We have lawyers courtrooms pieces of papers with signature. They had live animals and a death but ensued indicating the significance of the seriousness of the contract in this case. There's been one death the death of the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. He became a substitute because he alone guaranteed and provided for that which is given the provision of his ministry during the Messianic Kingdom. And thereby. We have the provision of his work than the enabling power of God the Holy Spirit. Our relationship in the church a book.

Father we are mindful that this is significant than Jesus Christ Alone. The Messiah Israel was capable of enacting a New Covenant which we participate in in advance in a sense that there is a prenup. There is an availability Lord that mysterium the mystery Doctrine with Paul talks about Florida. And so we enter into it by Grace by the provision of our people looking forward to the New Covenant will be enacted during the Messianic Kingdom. We understand we will be serving there with our Lord at that time. And so our desire is to learn more more aware of that. We thank you for your grace provision We Praise You by Sting

But you gentlemen what's up?

It's open again in the prayer. The only father we bow our heads at this time that we might again. Meant to the discipline of studying your word. I see your grace would flow as we study other distinctives of Israel a Jewish Believers or Messianic Jews at this time. Please give us wisdom and insight from your word and pray that we would grow in our understanding and in the body of Doctrine built upon our souls For Your Glory we praying Christ Jesus name. Amen.

It's were returning 2.3 the third distinctive that we have of the Jewish believer third distinctive. So the first distinctive we studied was the abrahamic Covenant went through a number of passages that dealt with that and then we looked at the remnant of Israel. It was in Romans chapter 11.

So the doctrine of the remnant Sandman here, we are looking at the doctrine of the Olive Tree. This is again in Romans chapter 11. We're going to skip a few verses we went from verse 1 through 10 for the doctrine of the remnants and now verses 16 through 24. We're looking at the

doctrine of the Olive Tree

Can we discuss this somewhat earlier, but this is the third bases of the Hebrew Christian distinctive. So reading in Romans 11 verse 16 for if the first fruit is Holy the lump is also holy and if the root is Holy so are the branches

No, remember we were reading before in Isaiah that there is a blessing that comes to the bunch because there is within it that which has a blessing do so the whole is blessed by The Remnant. So Paul here is carrying on with the same concept. He says if the first fruit is Holy than the lump or the bunch is also holy and if the Writ is Holy

So are the branches so he's saying if the source is Holy than the branches are holy in this case. Holy means to be set apart for provided for by God for his purposes. And Israel was set apart. So it has placed into Israel being the church and the Gentile Believers is going to be bully.

So anything either growing directly from the root is going to be set apart to God or anything drafted in grafted in will be fully. He says if some of the branches were broken off and you being a wild Olive Tree were grafted in among them and with them became a partaker of the red in fatness of the Olive Tree. So he's saying there is a distinctive the Olive Tree on a health And a fat miss that is there that if you are a wild Olive Tree and you are grafted in you now benefit from that mess in the blessing that comes from having those rootstock. That is

It is of the of the original all of tree. That's the nature of grafting that you're trying to benefit from a stronger better more resistant stop by place in Stockton is going to be fruiting. Mercedes teen but do not boast against the branches. He says if you do both remember that you do not support the rent, but the red supports you he says basically you would be ignorant Gentiles dumb if you say oh we branches are so much better than the route that we are grafted into. Yeah, that's pretty dumb. It's called cutting off your nose to spite your face.

It doesn't make much sense. But there's a lot of people who do that type of thing. But he's saying don't be that way understanding the significance spiritually that you come from that which is Israel. The background is Israel. The theology is Israel. The blessing that God has enacted comes through Israel. It is all of Israel there for why would you negate Israel? Right. So what is the very first thing that we see starting to happen in the church about a d130 right as we have the great Jewish Revolt rebellions as Jews come in and they try to retake Israel again and again and a couple of major Wars with room to try to throw off the Roman oppressors and re-establish the temple and Temple Worship in Jerusalem, and they were overthrown and a Hadrian. I just completely has them devastated and he is no friend of them and what we find happening, is that the Jewish community

Basically has to flee and hide and run and go to other areas to be able to survive. And so we have the screen migration of Jews and other lands outside of the region of Israel. And so we have the the the the European area. We have so much Jewish rebmans to go down into Egypt in Alexandria and the Northern Africa. We have some remnants of go over to Persia and Iran and we still actually to this day have a Jewish community that is in Iran strange. You would think they would be the object enemy either. They would be seeking them out and destroying these hundreds of thousands of Jews and it may happen in the very near future. But at this time they are still there living in the midst of the people. I told her 8 Israel and maybe they told rate them and I ran because they are not zionists and they are not taking back the land. So like The Great I Am The Lord of the Rings the focus is on something else over here. So I can't see what's going on down here. So the Believers and Iran are not order the Jews then I ran or not under attack because the focus is elsewhere.

Supports you. So what we had the goal of starting an 8130 and moving forward was a great revulsion and repulsion of Jewish understanding. In fact, we had a great deal of difficulty with many of our church fathers much of the development of theology has problems because they omitted all of the influence and input of the Old Testament and the Jewish teaching and understanding of scripture. I just took the baby and the boss water all of it and tossed it. That's crazy. But that's what happened is so they got rid of the entire roots. And so we have almost two thousand years of History. Where are the routes have been tossed away in the branches are saying what are you rebs? We don't need you where the branches and so what we have is Branched Christianity to a large degree and so part of our goal and studying Israel ology is to bring our relationship to the routes back in the focus to have understanding and perspective and to be rightly oriented to God's thinking that we are not in our hearts and our thinking in our Doctrine and the exclusion of properly study things through we are not saying no roots you are nothing but rather we're going back to the road. So we might be properly informed we might have perspective one might expect if the roads were valued as the source of fatness. Which is a good thing. First 19 you will say then branches were broken off that I might be grafted in verse 20 well said because of unbelief they were broken off and you stand by faith. So he says do not be haughty but fear. Forever 21, if God did not spare the natural branches he may not spare you either verse 22 therefore consider the goodness and severity of God goodness and severity to ideas here on those who fell but towards you goodness. If you continue in his goodness, otherwise you also will be cut off the idea here is Orion to your Source understand the source of blessing understand the doctrinal flow understand the makeup of the covenants on which you stand what applies what does not apply understand the cultural basis the inside that the prophets had which stood on the covenants. There is a lot of intricacy and detail their that we must understand. To properly understand scripture to rightly understand how Grace works.

So there is a severity to those who did not receive your shoe and Jesus as their Messiah to those who do You tell him there is blessing. So we are to continue in goodness continue to be oriented towards Messiah. Yeshua Jesus the Jewish Messiah and King. Otherwise, we also will be cut off for 23 and they also if they do not continue in unbelief will be grafted in. You catch that may get a raising their he says if they do not continue in unbelief. We would call that a double negative today. Do you double negatives? Confuses everyone. You can't follow actually you can quite well and it's been used in every language and there's nothing wrong with a double negative. We just have an aversion to it.

Like ain't in the dictionary.

Oh wait. Yes it is.

So he says and they also if they do not so we have not continuing unbelief. In other words if you cross out the not and unbelief, that means that if they return to belief if they return to belief

They will be grafted in for God is able to craft them in again. You see the moment they believe that you shua is the massager. They will be grafted back in. Where are the source of all blessings. They will return to being the source and the tree of all blessings throughout the millennial Kingdom all blessings in the Messianic era will come from through and to Israel every one will go up to the house of God in Jerusalem. They will worship there and they will have connection to God through Israel. Israel will become in return to that place of being the Paramount source of blessing. I did promise to Abraham those who bless you I will bless those who curse you I will curse it will continue to be true through into the Moon. It's true right now as well for 24 for if you were cut out of the Olive Tree, which is Wild by Nature. Who were grafted contrary to Nature into a cultivated Olive Tree? How much more will these who are natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree? he says it's not natural or it's not part of nature to take something that doesn't belong and grafted into where it doesn't belong but it is of nature to take that which Belongs where it's being grafted to be grafted in that way. Go to a neighbor across the street from my mom who has a fruit tree out front and he's graft five different fruits on to the same tree. I'm not sure what all he has there, but we're all waiting for a single tree because that is the nature of grafting in the stock will support everything.

Marimba Stree, there are two types of branches that are listed here representing Jewish Christians and Gentile Christians. The Hebrew Christians are the natural branches. That is a correspond to the very nature of the tree. It is as if the tree and the natural branches have the same blood type. The Wild Olive branches are the Gentile Christians. It is clearly stated that the presence of these branches in the tree is contrary to Nature the blood type is different. If you're going to get a blood transfusion, you need a type that is similar. Otherwise, you're going to cause health problems and rejection. There is an obvious composite difference between the two which makes them distinct from each other. Although both are in the same tree.

for example here in the Rogue Valley

you may if you lived here long, you've seen the different Orchards that have been cut down and where the Orchards have been cut down and what we have is some regulations that have been put in place because we have an agricultural economy that's here. And so what can happen is if you have a Orchard that just lays fellow for time it's ignored that I cared for than disease will come in get into the trees and will be such a disease that is able to prosper in the trees and then it's able to spread across the whole valley. So when we have by any time without care the Mandate is get in and cut down all these trees. So they do they go through in the effort then they cut them down. They pull them out. They pile them up but you might notice driving by the next two years. It'll be a long line of green shoots that are popping up where the trees used to be and they'll get bigger and bigger, but they Don't turn into a pear trees again in the case of the pear Orchards we have around here. We will see his Sprouts coming up and it looks more like a bush. The reason for that would be because the rootstock that is used here is actually a quince rootstock. You see the Quints does really well in this Valley is actually very resistant has a hyper developed microbe capacity. So I was able to support the good bio on the enzymes and so forth the bacteria and the ground it's able to pour more nutrients out of the ground than regular good. It's able to weather the cold. They will the weather the intense heat it does everything that's needed for a fruit tree this place in this area, but when you want the different fruit and you try to plan, it's Woodstock here, it won't do well because it does not have the capacity to deal with the heat. You can't deal with the extreme cold in the winter before actuations. It does not have the ability to pull the nutrients out of this soil around here much of which has Play in it and so we have a situation where you want this fruit. But if you plant that free, you're not going to get good quality of Route. We take the Quints talk which thrives here and we splice in for example, the the pair that Harry and David cells as the Royal Riviera pears are that's their brand name. I should say trademark Royal Riviera pears and it's actually a pair of the grows in the south of France and it is lucious people love it, but it does so much better because it's on a quince rootstock. so the resulting trees and what they Quince rootstock and the

Royal Riviera fruit tree on top or going to fruit earlier. They're going to a yield better. They're going to be easier to manage than a tree be growing on its own roots. And this is propagated by cutting or grafting in the ceiling stocks. You have a very small I should say very small seedling size. And that's when you do the Grafton basic just got to slice into it when you think your other stock and you cut an inverse via you stick the two together you tape it up when we just grow together in the Parkrose into the bar can the center grows into the into the center and you have a perfect splice amend your supplies is down towards the bottom of the the rootstock. So if you go around your chair, and you looked ill seat will spot here just about the pens. On the tree, but usually they're going to have the soil so it doesn't come up anywhere near that splice so you to see it at a good, you know, 6 in maybe a tree grows up a pretty close to the bottom. You'll be all good. Then you can look and see a little indentation there but the trunk might be massive. I mean we are trees here that are you know getting close to I don't know 68 years old. And so now we've been pulling all of the older trees out because the idea of sending people up the ladders 40 feet into the air, you know, what the picture I put everything into their used to be quite an industry when I was a kid, you know watching everyone going down and Vicky a and fruits from all the trees what they found was they can actually put the trees closer together. We actually a shape them so that their bowels are all going off like a y middle let anything grow this way to me actually have far more capacity per acre. More fruit for free and they can actually in an acre of way more productivity and make it so that they can drive a tractor down the center and because everything is like this may have the people download were picking people up Ira Pickens able to pick everything and we even have technology that will just come down and grab all the apples and pull them off. So interesting what we have being done out there. So the native Quince will have strong growth in the soil nutrients and have a resistance to disease and microbes that the grafted tree could not with me to stock. So what were they mean is that the cultivated stock in this case? The God is talking about with the Olive Tree is Israel. And Israel has a built-in benefit because God has said I will prosper you I will curse those who curse you but I will bless those who bless you because there was a wall of fire around this Covenant I help with you and anything that penetrates it will have repercussions blessings will be blessed and cursings will be cursed. So imagine what's going on with this right now, they are involved in the ultimate of cursing of Israel and they will in turn be cursed by God when we see being played played out on the world stage right now. It's not just a matter of Israel retaliating but it's also a matter of God cursing those who had first Israel whether he uses Israel to do it or the world community. Or however, he does that there will be cursing on those who come against Israel. This is going to be played out over and over again. We have no idea how many iterations or Cycles we will go through but there will be some but then we're out of here then everything changes the intensity that you see the fervor that's going on the anti-israel.

Sentiment that we have in the United States, by the way. 2001 we had a unique.

911 situation where we have the attack on the United States and the towers and the instant reaction to that was so we can't blame Islam for what was done by radicals. Even though all Islam theology except for very liberal versions of it, which she really is not very much of it out. There is saying the same thing the goal is to completely destroy Israel to destroy Western Civilization to take ownership and to be the Lords of all to put in place their caliph and have a caliphate which is their rulership their tyranny over all but the immediate response we have is the liberal agenda in the pulling in in the opening cupboard doors. Suddenly. We were attacked by Islamic sources and then we open our doors and say let's Islamic individuals as we can. Mirak from Iran from Egypt from Arabia wherever they are. They just tried to destroy us. So our natural reaction is bring more of them in it. So we have more than them and brought in the open door policy. We now have many the numbers are rising. I'm not sure how high they are. But many many individuals now who are in the executive administration of the president at this moment, we're in key positions who are Islamic or Pro the mosque or anti-israel and so we have open the door and let this culture seep into ourselves. It's idiocy and therefore we become a Target as we are enemies of Israel. We will be treated as such and dealt with us such by God. Lastly we have the fourth principle. That is the doctrine of the Israel of God. This is the fourth basis of the Messianic Jewish distinctive seen in the narrow use of the term Israel to see when Israel is used wherever it's used. It means Israel. Israel doesn't suddenly become the church Israel in the New Testament. It means Israel. So again, the term Israel is never used of Gentiles and whether they are believers or not nor is it ever used of the church? It is used only of Jews when it says Israel is talking about Jews and people of Jewish origin.

Romans 9

verses 6 through 8

6 is Minccino read that for you off the top of the display?

But it is not that the word of God has taken. No effect. He says in Romans 9 / 64. They are not all Israel who are of Israel. Verse 7 Noir are they all children because they are the Seed of Abraham. But in Isaac your seed shall be called. So not everyone who is the descendant of Abraham is actually not everyone who is of the Seed of Abraham is actually part of Israel. See God kept the line to sink and he told Abraham he says even though you have another child Ishmael, he will not be part of the promise. The promise does not flow through him after he had Isaac. He actually in after his wife died. He had relations and he fathered another child and that child is not part of the line, but only through Isaac do we have the line of continuity a promise and to Isaac you promised specifically the exact same, I now have with you and then when Jacob was born he said the exact same thing to you the line of Promise cuz but not to your brother Esau. Dewey saw out there is no Covenant promise, even though he is a descendant by Seed of Abraham. So we find that the line is narrow down and continues only down to Jacob and then it is the house of Jacob renamed as Israel and his descendants and only those descendants and none of their cousins or brothers or the nation's descended from them. But only through Israel, will The Descendants be so we're seven men not Nor are they all children because they are the seeds of Abraham but in Isaac your seed shall be called. So God clarified this address to Abraham and verse 8. That is those who are the children of the flash. These are not the children of God. Those who are the children of the flesh. These are not the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as the seed. So both groups are Jews and both groups are called Israel.

The difference being that the Jews who are Abraham by faith as well as by flesh. Our crew is real. Israel the whole that is the Israel of the flesh failed, but the elect the chosen the born-again of Israel. They are the Israel of God that has not failed.

so Hebrew Christians than are part of Israel the whole but in particular

We are the Israel of God. So we have this distinction here. We have Israel the whole. Which is all all physical descendants of Israel of the 12 tribes, but then there is the Israel of God, which is those who are The Remnant the Believers who are Jews Gentiles Christians are not in this group. There are no Gentiles who are part of the Israel of God position, which is distinct with them for Messianic Jews. So they hold a particular place in the body of Christ in that they are the Israel of God. So both groups are Jews. Both groups are called Israel.

What is the unbelieving or all Jews are called the house of Israel with your bleeding or unbelieving? But only those who believed are called the Israel of God. Don glacian 616

The book of Galatians which we reviewed earlier is concerned with Gentiles who are attempting to attain justification or sanctification through keeping the when the ones deceiving them where the judaizers who were Jews demanding adherence to the law of Moses and the bear and the Gentile first had to convert to Judaism before he was qualified for salvation through Christ. in verse 15 of Galatians

Malaysian 6 Paul states that the important thing for salvation is Faye resulting in the new creation.

So we see then that Paul pronounce is a blessing on two groups would follow the rule of salvation by faith alone. So the first group is the time he refers to which is the Gentile Christians.

James Aldrich the Gentile Christians to heat and which he had devoted most of the Epistle of Romans and then we had the second group.

Which is the Israel of God? These are Messianic Jews who in contrast with the judaizers followed the rule of salvation by faith alone.

Forget in distinction between the two groups is seeing the Hebrew Christians alone or of the Israel of God. It's a matter of position which here acts of a definite function is the blessing of Greater Israel by those. Who are you wish who are believers. So the greater is blessed by the Lesser or by the remnant. We finally come to our conclusion of this discussion.

It's clear that the Messianic Jew is a distinctive elements in the body of Christ and the distinctiveness is based on the four lines provided in the scripture. and this distinctiveness future involves

or we can say the Messianic Jew distinctive involves. Number one position. That is they have Jewish nationality or membership and Israel the Israel of God.

Does the natural branch in the Olive Tree? They are part of the Olive Tree there of Israel. They are Jewish. So they have the position then secondly, we have a function the function of the Year bremec Covenant is circumcision loyalty to Israel The Remnant that is keeping and Israel alive. Gentile relationship in blessing and cursing so the functioning Lavar Messianic Jews We have a couple things going on to our surprise Leah Brandon Covenant still applies. If you are a believing Jew you are still to have the mark of circumcision as a Jew or Gentile don't matter doesn't make a bit of difference. If you are a Jew your boys are to be circumcised because you are reflecting the obrenic Covenant. You're branded Covenant did not go away love replace my anything in Christianity Jesus Christ and fulfill and therefore abrogate the abramo coming in all through the future history of the world REM at covenant will be in place and everyone will be blessed or cursed by the relationship with Israel. So circumcision is an indication that the abrahamic Covenant exist. It's all it means God has a covenant with his people loyalty to Israel is next. There is a loyalty to Israel the whole that is brought into place as believing Jews take that place of recognizing and trusting and come in and relationship with Christ as their Messiah. And then we have the remnant is keeping Israel alive. So there is a blessing to all of the Jewish as that blessed portion is blessing the whole Keep on I keep in mind again that pivot concept that the smaller portion blesses the larger portion. So Blessing by association and then we have the Gentile relationships are involved and blessing and cursing that means anyone who blesses Israel will be blessed anyone who curses will be blessed. So the Messianic Jew is involved in that as well. So anyone who blesses a Messianic Jew will be blast anyone who curses them will be cursed all we have maybe a little propensity for Gentiles to say not we get the enthusiasm but the orientation is towards a teaching a scripture of Doctrine not towards turning into a Jew. culture

Well, those are Sting from the Gentile Christians the Hebrew Christians are nevertheless United with them in the body of Christ. Does this distinctive violate the unit has a distinctive between Jew and Gentile?

Violate the unity of the body of Christ. No, not at all Unity does not mean uniformity. That's the great communist lie. It's also the great lie of the equity propaganda that is out there. Everyone must be the same in outcome. No matter what you do or how you do end up the same. Well God is a Unity yet. We have three persons Father Son and Holy Spirit that are distinct in position distinct in function each member performs different roles in dealing with creation all or equal you had distinctive distinctive Miss and the godhead does not violate Unity. It only violates uniformity. We need to make that clear Unity is not uniformity. The one does not violate the other looking at the body of Christ from a different angle. All believers are united in one body. But they are not All Uniform there are differences in position and function inside the body of Christ all have spiritual gifts, but not the same number or kind all or an equal standing before God yet. Each is distinct in the same is true for the Jewish and Gentile elements. In the body of the Messiah in Christ, the two are in unity, but are not in uniformity. So before God then we are all equal in terms of salvation but distinct in position and function. So yes, it's okay to have different position and function for Jewish Believers in terms of the things that we set up set aside before doctor lines are principles that are taught to us to explain the differences in the distinction. So any questions

Alright was closing for the only father. We just thank you for this time the opportunity to review your word your thoughts you're thinking on the distinctive you have brats made available to Jewish Believers. Now, they are separate and distinct from Gentile Believers and yet we are all part of the body of Christ. We all live by the same means we all grow and Doctrine in the same way. We all have the same Doctrine to orient to we all have the same spiritual life that we live by grace. And so we recognize the similarity the sameness and let's in yet. We understand that it is not a It's not a uniformity that we are trying to put in place, but it is a Unity. We are united together in the person of the work of Jesus Christ that you shua me. She has presented to Israel. And so we thank you for your great blessing to this go with us and I'll bring his capacity as we Orient to your word and depend on your spirit living this life that we might minister to those of the body and we might have angeleyes those who did not know you Christ name. We pray these things amen.
