Knowledge and Power without wisdom
We have been talking about different attributes of God. But if you notice, I often refer to other attribute when talking about another. For example we have been talking about God being all knowing and all powerful. One can only get you so far without the other.
I know how to break concrete with my hand without breaking my hand. But the knowledge only gets me so far if I don’t have the ability to execute it. In the same way, if I have the ability to break concrete, but I don’t know the proper technique, I will probably break my hand as well during the process.
Now imagine I have both. I know how to break concrete, and I have the ability to break it. That would be cool, right? Well, not if I did it during a math exam.
Same thing if I have the knowledge of knowing every word to a Taylor Swift album, and the ability to sing every note well, but I do it in line for food at Chick-Fil-A, well that doesn’t help me get my Chick-Fil-A sandwich.
Knowledge and power is good, but it is important to have what we are going to talk about today: Wisdom.

What is wisdom? What is the difference between wisdom and knowledge? Knowledge is knowing facts. Wisdom is knowing how to apply those facts. My good friend webster calls it “Good Judgement”. Just like in the examples I gave, I had knowledge HOW to do something, but not WHEN to do it.
To simply put, wisdom is understanding how to best apply knowledge.
Think about building something. You have the materials and tools. Knowledge is knowing how to use a hammer, power is the ability to use a hammer, wisdom is knowing to use the hammer on the nail instead of on the glass. Or to work on the base before adding the additional fixtures.
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
What about God?

Now that you know the difference, what does this say about God?
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
God is full of wisdom. Which is important for two reasons.
God is in control.
God is in control.
The first reason is because God is in control. Think if he was in control, but not wise. How bad would it be. Why should we follow him.
Have you ever been punished for something, but the punishment was worse than the crime?
We go to God for wisdom.

The secone reason why God being wise is important is because we are suppose to go to Him for wisdom.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
I have turned to a lot of people for advise. I got some that was good, some that was not good.
