Salvation, does everyone who claims to be saved are they saved? In all truth the answer is no.  Jesus spoke a parable telling just that

Matthew 13:3-9 (KJV 1900)

3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: 5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: 8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. 9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

1.   Jesus told of four places the seed fell where are you?

Matthew 13:19-21 (KJV 1900)

19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

a.       Some live their lives by the “wayside”

Acts 28:27 (KJV 1900)

27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

b.      Because of hard hearts they close their minds they stop listening

c.       Stony ground hears the word accepts but they have no root the first tribulation, persecution and they are gone!

2.   Thorny ground speaks of those who have things in their lives that shouldn’t be there.

Matthew 13:22 (KJV 1900)

22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

a.       Some want to believe once saved always saved but Christ’s word shows different!

2 Peter 2:20-22 (NASB95)

20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Christ Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 21 For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them. 22 It has happened to them according to the true proverb, “A dog returns to its own vomit,” and, “A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire.”

b.      Because some allow the things of this world to choke them!

Mark 4:19 (KJV 1900)

19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

c.        Stay away from the thorns in life!

Matthew 6:24 (NASB95)

24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

3.   Good ground, yes even you have good ground.

Matthew 13:23 (KJV 1900)

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
