Does the way that you live give thanks to the Lord for His presence and at the same time, proclaim His greatness to to all people?
As God’s people, we are called to live in such a way.
Your trust in God dictates your manner of living and your manner of living proclaims in who or what you trust.
The way you live either praises God and proclaims His greatness, or praises sin and proclaims its lie.
We stand on middle ground between the wrath of God towards our sin and His proclamation to the nations for their sin. Here in the middle, God desires us to know His salvation and the thankfulness it can bring in giving us peace.
God’s salvation brings peace in God’s presence with those who trust in Him and should compel us to be thankful and proclaim the goodness of God.

Sin Angers God:
2 Kings 17:18 “18 So the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them from His sight; none was left except the tribe of Judah.”
Romans 1:18 “18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,”
Colossians 3:6 “6 For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience,”
God’s compassion redirects His anger
Jonah 4:11 “11 “Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand, as well as many animals?””
God’s salvation restores
Psalm 51:12 “12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.”
1 Peter 5:10 “10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.”
Review: God’s Salvation through trust breeds thanksgiving.
Between the times when God’s anger towards Israel’s sin was experienced by them and what God will do in the future among the nations, stands the person who trusts God and experiences His salvation and presence.
Ladies and gentlemen, we stand here as a people between the times when God’s anger towards our sin was experienced and what God will do in the future among the nations. Have you and do you stand trusting God in and with the present, having experienced His salvation and presence? If so, then let your life proclaim God so loudly that everyone around can’t help but hear.
If you are here today or listening in online and you have put your trust in God and His salvation, then make God known to others.

God’s Salvation Through Trust Demands Proclamation (Isa. 12:4-6)

God’s Salvation Through Trust Demands Proclamation (Isa. 12:4-6)
++Give thanks to the Lord and pray v. 4a
++Proclaim God’s deeds and name known to all vv. 4b-5
++Make a joyful bunch of noise that God is great v. 6
Psalm 100 “A Psalm for Thanksgiving. 1 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. 3 Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.”
Isaiah 1–39 (6. A Song of Trust in God (12:1–6))
Through praise directed to God, his name is exalted in community praise and other nations are reminded of the greatness of God. This sounds like a practical formula for worship and evangelism. The focus is always on glorifying and exalting God, the method is to use singing and retelling of the story, the content focuses on God’s great deeds and exalted name, and the results spread the good news of God to others.
