What a difference there is between Moses, coming down from Mount Sinai, and the Pharisees of Jesus' day. Moses had "the two tablets of the testimony in his hands" and "his face was radiant" (Exodus 24:29-30). Concerning the Pharisees, Jesus, quoting Isaiah 29:13, said, "These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me" (Mark 7:6). How can we be radiant, like Moses, and not hypocritical, like the Pharisees? - "My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only He will release my feet from the snare" (Psalm 25:15).
