IS The Work of the HOLY Spirit
IT IS THE HOLY GHOST Give’s; REVELATION OR ENLIGHTENMENT

“It is not the work of the Spirit to tell you the meaning of Scripture, or to give you the Divine knowledge, without your own study and labour, but he bless’s our study, and give’s us Revelation knowledge thereby.”
Holy spirit; gives us revelation Knowledge thru study and thru experience.
A. He reveals to us the love of God; by shedding it abroad in our hearts;
Text: Mark 4:11 Jesus speaking to his disciples ;
11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
Parable- comparison,figure, symbol
Specifically, a parable, is a short story in which the fictitious is used to represent and illustrate the real. IT’s a shadow, and type of reality.
Mary the mother of Jesus after she asked a very important question; was given revelation knowledge.She asked How can these thing be seeing I know not a man.
TEXT: Luke 1:31-37 The Angle brings revelation knowledge
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.(Salvation) Yeshua
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
Because of this! Great shame could come upon her because of not knowing a man! If its not done in a normal natural way its probably God!
Song: I can almost here the angel as he begins to sing;
Do you Have any rivers you think are uncross-able?
Do you Have any mountains you cant tunnel thru?
My God specializes in things thought impossible!
And he can do what no other Power can do!
Revelation brings experience
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
(Proof positive) God gives A word of conformation!
36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37 For with God nothing shall be
impossible.
Doc might say its impossible
friends might say its impossible
preacher may say its impossible
But Gods word is settled in heaven and in earth. And Nothing Nothing Nothing is impossible with God;
Got any rivers you think are uncross-able?
Got any mountains you can’t tunnel through?
Romans 5:5
5 And hope (say hope)maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. How is it given? By faith through grace.Mary accepted the word of the lord therefore their was no reason for her to be ashamed! Hope thou in God!
Holy Ghost is Just the Down payment! The earnest of our inheritance.
B Holy Ghost Given to us to Reveal The hidden Christ!
John 15:26 Jesus said:
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
C. Holy Ghost reveals the Hidden things of Christ
John 16:14
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
D. Holy Ghost Reveals to us, The things God has prepared for us !
1 Corinthians 2:9,10
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
E. Holy Ghost reveals the way of truth (the battle plan)
John 14:6
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 16:13
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,
that shall he speak:
and he will shew you things to come.
Why? So we can be prepared for them.
F. Holy Ghost reveals to us ; The path of our service.
Peter was sent by the angle south thru the desert to Gaza :
He did not know where he was going accept to go south.
ACTS 8:29 “The Spirit said unto Philip, go near, and join thyself to this chariot”(Ethiopian Eunuch ruler)
Luke 2:26 (Simeon the priest and father of John the Baptist )
26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ”
G Holy Ghost make intercession for us;
Romans 8:26,27
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities (inabilities): for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Like birth pains and cries and groanings- spiritual birth pains!
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Jude 1:20
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.
21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Galatians 4:6
“God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying Abba, Father”
Romans 8:15
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
H. The work of the Holy Ghost is in the soul of man.
But prayer is so often misunderstood by us.
Contrast our frivolous payers with His “unutterable groanings” When praying in the holy ghost we enter directly into the presents of God!
No wonder prayers are so seldom answered, when the Spirit’s groanings are not heeded.

I. THE SPIRIT INVITES US TO COME
Revelation 22:17
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.
And let him that is athirst come.
And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
A. “The Spirit and the Bride say come.…”
In this the Spirit and the Bride are to be co-workers together.
They unite in inviting the hearers, the thirsty, and whosoever will.
What an invitation! “Let him take the water of life freely.”
B. The Spirit works and waits and longs “with us” in a world of darkness until Jesus comes, and all the shadows flee away.
CONCLUSION: It is very important that we hear and understand Gods invitation. When we hear His voice, we should not harden our hearts. Today is the day of salvation, tomorrow may be too late. Give Jesus your all Because he gave his all for You!
