As one reads this keenly it will look somehow the same as someone else teachings but please note it is God who reveals the truth and sometimes the truth is usually given to a generation and later lost and buried and it usually takes God to use another generation to unbury the treasure that was lost and hidden.

LAODICEA CHURCH and THE MESSENGER OF GOD

Please note that the seven churches addressed by John in the book of Revelation are Gentile churches and there is no mention of Jerusalem church which at that time was fully Jewish except for a few Gentiles. The reason was that God had turned to the Gentiles because the Jews had closed their eyes and ears to the word of God as stated in Act 13:45-47 “And the Jews seeing the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and contradicted the things being spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. But speaking boldly, Paul and Barnabas said, It was necessary for the Word of God to be spoken first to you; but since you indeed thrust it away and judge yourselves not worthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the nations. For so the Lord has commanded us, "I have set You for a Light of nations, that You be for salvation to the end of the earth." Isa. 49:6

The bible also says that the blindness of the Jews is for a season that is described that they will be brought back to fold until the fullness of the Gentiles has come as stated in Rom 11:1-8 I say then, Did not God thrust away His people? Let it not be! For I also am an Israelite, out of Abraham's seed, of the tribe of Benjamin. "God did not thrust away His people" whom He foreknew. Psa. 94:14 Or do you not know what the Scripture said in Elijah, how he pleaded with God against Israel, saying, Lord, "they killed Your prophets," "and they dug down Your altars," "and only I am left, and they seek my life." 1 Kg. 19:10 But what does the Divine answer say to him, "I reserved to Myself seven thousand men who did not bow a knee to Baal." 1 Kg. 19:18 So then, also in the present time a remnant according to election of grace has come into being. But if by grace, no longer is it of works; else grace no longer becomes grace. But if of works, it is no longer grace; else work is no longer work. What then? What Israel seeks, this it did not obtain, but the election obtained it, and the rest were hardened; even as it has been written, "God gave to them a spirit of slumber, eyes not seeing and ears not hearing" until this day. Isa. 29:10; Deut. 29:4

Why where they cast off? It is stated in Rom 11:20 Well! For unbelief they were broken off. And you stand by faith. Do not be highminded, but fear.

For Paul says in Rom 11:24-27 For if you were cut out of the natural wild olive tree, and against nature were grafted into a good olive tree, how much more these being according to nature will be grafted into their own olive tree? For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be wise within yourselves, that hardness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the nations comes in; and so all Israel will be saved, even as it has been written, "The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob. And this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins. For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be wise within yourselves, that hardness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the nations comes in;

Then it have to be said that Israel will be restored when the fullness of Gentile nation have come into the Kingdom of God. Therefore it would be fair to say that that the Church age will end when Israel will again be grafted in the vine as stated in Rom 11:23 And those also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in. For God is able to graft them in again.

Where are we now as a Church?

An example is with the Galatians Church which started with the Spirit but later wanted to perfect it walk in Christ with the flesh.

As stated in Gal 3:3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, do you now perfect yourself in the flesh?

What did they do?

Having received the Holy Spirit by hearing of faith and they received a teaching and accepted that one is justified by Law before God which was in contravention of the bible that said that "The just shall live by faith." Hab. 2:4

They had forgotten that they did receive the Holy Spirit by faith and yet as they continued with their walk in Christ they believed that they could only be justified by works.

They believed that one can only be justified if he or she had observed all the laws which was given to Moses and therefore they were told that they had to be circumcised but Paul told them in Gal 4:3-4 And I testify again to every man being circumcised, that he is a debtor to do all the Law, you whoever are justified by Law, you were severed from Christ; you fell from grace.

In that he told them that every man who will be circumcised, he will be a debtor to the whole law, and whoever is justified by Law, he is severed from Christ and has fallen from grace.

He says in Gal 5:16 But I say, Walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

What the bible is saying is that if one walks in the flesh and not by faith he or she will have the lust of the flesh. For he says in Gal 4:19-22 Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and things like these;

Paul was saying that before the coming of Christ a lot of people would be living in the flesh that in turn they would not endure sound doctrine but they will heap for themselves teachers tickling their ears as stated in 2Ti 4:3-4 For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, they will heap up to themselves teachers tickling the ear; and they will turn away the ear from the truth and will be turned aside to myths.

Who are these people?

In Isa 29:9-10-13 it says

“Wait and wonder! Blind yourselves, and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine! They stagger, but not with fermented drink! For Jehovah has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes. He has covered the prophets and your heads, the seers. And the whole vision to you is like the words of a sealed book which they give to one knowing books, saying, Please read this. Then he says, I am not able, for it is sealed. And the book is given to one who does not know books, saying, Please read this. Then he says, I do not know books. And the Lord says, Because this people draws near with its mouth, and they honor Me with its lip; but its heart is far from Me, and their fear of Me is taught by the commandments of men;”

These are people who had known God but drew closer to God by their mouth and honored God by their lips but their hearts were far from Him and in return God rejected them by sending them a spirit of slumber as stated in Rom 11:8 even as it has been written, "God gave to them a spirit of slumber, eyes not seeing and ears not hearing" until this day.

Therein this spirit made the hearts of the people to grow fat, heard heavily with the ears, and closed their eyes thereby they could not see with the eyes or hear with their ears and understand with the heart as stated in Mat 13:15 For the heart of this people has grown fat, and they heard heavily with the ears, and they have closed their eyes, that they not see with the eyes, or hear with the ears, and understand with the heart, and be converted, and I heal them." Isa. 6:9, 10

Because of refusing to hear the Word of God that requires people to live in the spirit, God will send them a spirit of slumber and their hearts will grow fat and be comfortable in their sin, thereby they will close their ear to the Word of God and refused to see what God was doing.

And because of this God will also send them a spirit of error that they may believe a lie that all may be judged, those not believing the truth, but who have delighted in unrighteousness.

Laodicea Church

For the Book of revelation is book that was dictated by Christ to John revealing mysteries that had been previously hidden. This revelation is about the person of Christ and what He was and would do in Church age also known as period of the fullness of the Gentile nations.

It is widely believed that the seven Churches as addressed by John in the book of Revelation shows the different characteristic of the Church during the Church age i.e. from the beginning to the end.

Lord Jesus Christ was not only addressing the specific churches but He also addressing future Churches so as to highlight to them to continue to do good works but also to be weary of the pitfalls that these churches had encountered.

Not only was the Lord showing the pitfalls but also showing the future characteristics of the Church.

We are now living in the end times as noticed it will not escape that the current Church is almost like the Church of Laodicea as stated in Rev 3:14-22:-

“And to the angel of the assembly of Laodicea, write: These things says the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Head of the creation of God: I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold, or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, I am rich, and I am made rich, and I have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. I advise you to buy from Me gold having been fired by fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, and your shame and nakedness may not be revealed. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.I, as many "as I love, I rebuke and I chasten." Be zealous, then, and repent. Prov. 3:12 Behold, I stand at the door and knock: If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will enter to him, and I will dine with him, and he with Me. The one overcoming, I will give to him to sit with Me in My throne, as I also overcame and sat with My Father in His throne. The one who has an ear, hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.”

MESSENGER OF GOD

Jesus addresses this Church and the future Church by first addressing it to the angel of the assembly of Laodicea.

Please remember that an angel is a messenger of God. This message was given to a messenger to pass to this Church and see that as Jesus talked to the Church at Laodicea, He was also speaking to the future Church that would have the same characteristics as the Church at Laodicea.

John says in Rev 1:12-20 And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands. And in the midst of the seven lampstands I saw One like the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and tied around the breast with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And His eyes were like a flame of fire. And His feet were like burnished brass having been fired in a furnace. And His voice was like the sound of many waters. And He had seven stars in His right hand, and out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword. And His face was like the sun shining in its strength. And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying to me, Do not fear, I am the First and the Last, and the Living One, and I became dead, and behold, I am alive for ever and ever, Amen. And I have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be after this, the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand and the seven golden lampstands. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.

John says he saw Jesus who had seven stars in His right hand and told him to write about the mystery of the seven stars which he saw in His right hand who are the angels of the seven churches.

Please note that angels are messengers and servants of God so are His prophets who are messengers and servants of God.

How do we know that the seven stars in His right hand are men and not heavenly angels?

First you have to ask yourself where the seven stars or angels before Jesus are.

One will note that they are in His hand. As stated in Rev 2:1 To the angel of the Ephesian assembly, write; These things says the One holding the seven stars in His right hand, He walking in the midst of the seven golden lampstands:

Who according to the bible are in His hand?

According to the bible it says that His people are the ones who are in His right hand as stated in Psalms 95:7 For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today if you will hear His voice,

With His hand He saves them as stated in Psalms 20:6 ‘Now I know that Jehovah saves His anointed; He answers him from His holy Heaven with the saving strengths of His right hand’ and because He saves them they sing to Him songs as stated in Psalms 98:1 ‘A Psalm. O sing to Jehovah a new song, for He has done wondrous things; His right hand and His holy arm has saved Him.’

Also they testify to His glory as stated Psalms 18:35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; and Your right hand has held me up, and Your gentleness has made me great.

They also say in Psalms 31:15 My times are in Your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.

For these people the Lord is everything as stated in Psalms 63:8 My soul follows hard after You; Your right hand upholds me.

Please note His right hand upholds them from the evil one and they believe as stated Psalms 119:173 Let Your hand help me; for I have chosen Your Precepts and also in Psalms 139:10 even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.

For in Him his servants commit their spirit as stated in Psalms 31:5 Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Jehovah, the God of truth.

Who are in the hand of God?

His people and not heavenly angels and it should be noted again that angels are like His people who are His servants as stated in Rev 22:9 Then he said to me, Behold! See, do not do it! For I am your fellow-servant, and of your brothers the prophets, and of those who keep the Words of this Book. Do worship to God.

They are servants just as men are servants of God.

It also should be noted that Jesus says that the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, which means in another way the seven stars are messengers of the seven churches and just as Jesus said of John in Rev 22:16 I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify these things to you over the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright and Morning Star.

He did not say I Jesus have sent My angels but My angel to testify these things to you for to Him men are as the Angels as stated in Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in Heaven for as stated in Psalms 104:4 He makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flaming fire.

For you may say that only in the resurrection are men as the angels and not now but one may to look what Jesus says in John 10:27-28 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give to them eternal life, and they shall never ever perish, and not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand.

Jesus who is all knowing knows that though His sheep will die a physical death but He says He will give them eternal life and they shall never ever perish, and not anyone shall pluck them out of His hand.

And like earlier said He as God sees them alive as He told the Jews in Mat 22:31-32 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read that spoken to you by God, saying: "I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?" God is not God of the dead, but of the living. Ex. 3:6

Again as stated earlier His sheep are in His Hand and He sees them not dead but alive for He is the God of the living and also sees them as He sees His angels for He says they are as the angels of God in Heaven.

And just are angels His messengers so also his people are His messengers.

You will have to ask yourself then why do we have a Prophet that would be included in the bible living in our times?

First we have to look at the bible.

Mal 4:1-6 For, behold, the day is coming, burning like a fire pot; and all the proud and every doer of wickedness shall be chaff. And the coming day will set them ablaze, says Jehovah of Hosts, which will not leave root or branches to them. But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall rise up, and healing will be on His wings. And you shall go out and frisk like calves of the stall. And you shall tread under the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day which I am preparing, says Jehovah of Hosts. Remember the Law of My servant Moses which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments. Behold, I am sending you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Jehovah. And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, that I not come and strike the earth with utter destruction.

Here the bible states that before the day of the Lord he will send Elijah And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers.

It is a day as stated in Joel 2: 1-2, Blow a ram’s horn in Zion, and shout an alarm in My holy mountain. Let all those living in the land tremble. For the day of Jehovah approaches; it is near, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, as the dawn spread out on the mountains, a great and a strong people. There has never been the like, nor shall there ever be again to the years of many generations.

Why would He send Elijah before His coming?

Because our God is King when He comes His way must be cleared to allow for His smooth passage because we are His servants as stated in Isa 62:10-12 Pass! Pass through the gates; prepare the way of the people! Raise up! Raise up the highway; clear it from stones; lift up a banner over the peoples. Behold, Jehovah has made it to be heard to the end of the earth; Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold! Your salvation comes! Behold! His reward is with Him, and His work before Him. And they shall call them, The Holy People, the Redeemed of Jehovah. And to you it shall be called, Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.

And just like in the earth with regard to visitation, you will notice that first a message would be sent to the person that they should expect a visitor and one who is expecting visitation from the other person would prepare themselves by making sure that the guest would be comfortable when they come by providing food, drinks and ensure that the visitor will find a house that is clean.

Now imagine that as a Christian who pursues earthly treasures who is very unprepared for His coming would they know whether God visited him? The answer is No and I am sure if the Lord came and found that Christian unprepared for His coming He would not count him as His own.

And because of who Man is he has tendencies to be carried away by the things of the world so he has to be constantly reminded of coming of the Lord.

As known before the Lord Himself is supposed to visit His people twice, one was when Jesus came and died for our sins and the second is His second coming which is described as the day of the Lord.

Let’s look at the Lord’s first coming.

Mat 3:1-12 Now in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the deserted places of Judea, and saying, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near. For this is he spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord! Make His paths straight!" Isa. 40:3 And John himself had his clothing from hairs of a camel, and a belt of leather about his loin. And his food was locusts and wild honey. Then Jerusalem and all Judea went out to him, and all the neighborhood of the Jordan, and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins. But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, Offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore, bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. And do not think to say within yourselves, We have a father, Abraham. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. But already the axe is even laid at the root of the trees; therefore, any tree not bringing forth good fruit is cut off and is thrown into fire. I indeed baptize you in water to repentance; but He who is coming after me is stronger than me, of whom I am not able to lift The sandals. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire, whose fan is in His hand, and He will cleanse His floor and will gather His wheat into the storehouse. But He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Here the bible says that John the Baptist is the voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord! Make His paths straight!" as stated in Isa. 40:3and Mal 3:1 Behold, I am sending My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the Lord whom you are seeking shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of Hosts.

One you will notice that it is described that John the Baptist would go out before Lord in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of fathers to their children," and disobedient ones to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord as stated in Luke 1:13-17

“But the angel said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias, because your prayer was heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear a son to you, and you shall call his name John. And he will be joy and exultation to you, and many will rejoice over his birth. For he shall be great in the eyes of the Lord, and he shall not drink wine or strong drink. And he will be filled of the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. And he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. And he will go out before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah "to turn the hearts of fathers to their children," and disobedient ones to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord. Mal. 4:5, 6”

John was what most people call a forerunner who helped make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord. His main work was to make ready people to prepare for the coming of Christ.

This led to the hearts of the people being prepared for the coming Christ as stated in Mar 1:4 “John came baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins” which led the people expecting Christ as stated Luke 3:15 “But the people were expecting, and all reasoning in their hearts about John, lest perhaps he is the Christ and also” and as stated in John 1:19-27 And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites that they might ask him, Who are you? And he acknowledged and did not deny; yea, he acknowledged, I am not the Christ. And they asked him, What, then? Are you Elijah? And he said, I am not. Are you the Prophet? And he answered, No. Then they said to him, Who are you, that we may give an answer to those sending us? What do you say about yourself? He said, "I am a voice crying in the wilderness:" "Make straight" "the way of the Lord," as Isaiah the prophet said. Isa. 40:3 And those who had been sent were of the Pharisees. And they asked him and said to him, Why then do you baptize, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet? John answered them, saying, I baptize in water, Now being that John came in the spirit and power of Elijah said that he was not Elijah when the Pharisees asked “And they asked him, What, then? Are you Elijah? And he said, I am not.”

But Jesus said that he was Elijah in Matthew 17:10-13 “And His disciples asked Him, saying, Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first? And answering, Jesus said to them, Elijah indeed comes first and shall restore all things. But I say to you, Elijah already came, and they did not know him, but did to him whatever they desired. So also the Son of Man is about to suffer by them. Then the disciples understood that He spoke to them about John the Baptist.”

The disciples asked why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first? Why would they say that? Because the scribes knew what the Word of God that stated in Malachi 4:5 “Behold, I am sending you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Jehovah. And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, that I not come and strike the earth with utter destruction.” But didn’t know that Elijah and Christ had already came and thereby did not get to know the hour of their visitation and thereby God passed by them and as Jesus said Elijah already came, and they did not know him, but did to him whatever they desired. So also the Son of Man is about to suffer by them.

Now knowing the times of our age that Christ is about to come a second time , you should notice that again before He comes as stated Mal 4:5-6 Remember the Law of My servant Moses which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments. Behold, I am sending you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Jehovah. And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, that I not come and strike the earth with utter destruction.

And being that it is certain that He is coming a second time He will a send again a voice to His people to prepare for His coming so that they could not be caught off guard as the scribes and Pharisees did when they refused to acknowledge that John the Baptist was Elijah and Jesus was Christ as was written in the bible.

This voice is also as stated in Mat 25:1-13 Then the kingdom of Heaven shall be compared to ten virgins who taking their lamps, went out to a meeting of the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five foolish. Those being foolish, taking their lamps, did not take oil with them. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But the bridegroom delaying, all nodded and slept. And at midnight, a cry occurred: Behold, the bridegroom comes! Go out to meet him. Then all those virgins were aroused and prepared their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out. But the wise answered, saying, No, lest there not be enough for us and you. But rather, go to those who sell and buy for yourselves. But they going away to buy, the bridegroom came. And those ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut. And afterwards, the rest of the virgins also came, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But answering, he said, Truly I say to you, I do not know you. Therefore, watch, for you do not know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man comes.

If you look at the above parable you will notice that there are ten virgins, five are foolish who took their lamps, did not take oil with them and five who are wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

In the next verse you will see it says but the bridegroom delaying, all nodded and slept. And at midnight, a cry occurred: Behold, the bridegroom comes! Go out to meet him. This is the statement “a cry occurred: Behold, the bridegroom comes! Go out to meet him” is a voice to the Church, which surprising is the same as was said by John said in John 1:29 and 36 on the morrow, John sees Jesus coming toward him and said, Behold! The Lamb of God, taking away the sin of the world! …and looking at Jesus walking, he said, Behold, the Lamb of God!

Why I my saying the cry is a voice to the Church because the Church is the bride and Jesus is the bridegroom and nowhere is Israel the bride to Christ but is a wife to Jehovah.

And please note all the virgins were aroused and prepared their lamps and only those who were prepared for His coming were taken in as was stated and those ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut which is the same as those who had believed John the Baptist their eyes were opened to see that the messiah was Jesus.

You will notice the cry Behold, the bridegroom comes! Go out to meet Him, is a voice to the Church telling the Church to go out and meet the bridegroom.

Please note this voice cannot just came up and say those things unless that voice is very close to the Lord and it is the Lord who can tell the voice to tell the bride “Behold, the bridegroom comes! Go out to meet him.”

Also note it is it is Behold, the bridegroom comes as was said by John the Baptist Behold! The Lamb of God, taking away the sin of the world.

To the people at the time of Jesus it was Behold the Lamb of God giving away what His purpose was and this time it is Behold, the bridegroom comes! Go out to meet him reveals His purpose whereby He came to take away His Church.

So why is the voice of seventh angel, the voice of a prophet?

Please note John was considered as a prophet as was stated in Mat 21:26 “But if we should say, From men, we fear the people. For all hold John to be a prophet” and so was Elijah. By the way only the Pharisees, scribes and the religious leaders could not see and identify that John was a prophet.

Also note as stated in Rom 16:25-26 Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the proclaiming of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery having been kept unvoiced during eternal times, but now has been made plain, and by prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;

Please note the revelation of mystery which was kept unvoiced is now made plain to all nations and according to the Revelation 10:7 in the days of the voice of the seventh angel this mystery of God will be finished which has been made plain to all the nations.

In that as stated in Amos 3:6-7 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

The mystery which had been made plain to all nations will be complete in the days of the voice of the seventh angel who is the voice that proclaims Behold, the bridegroom comes! Go out to meet him reveals that as Jesus says when this gospel which has been made plain and by prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known for obedience of faith to all the nations has been preached to all nations then the end will come.

What the bible is trying to say is that there is a forerunner of Jesus who will come and has come asking people to repent and prepare the way of the Lord and when this message is preached to all nations then the end would come as stated in Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all nations. And then the end shall come.

You may ask repent and prepare the way of the Lord is it really the gospel of the kingdom and I would say yes! it is the message of turning away from sin as stated in Act 17:30-31 Truly, then, God overlooking the times of ignorance, now strictly commands all men everywhere to repent, because He set a day in which "He is going to judge the habitable world in righteousness," by a Man whom He appointed; having given proof to all by raising Him from the dead. Psa. 9:8

All I am trying to say this prophet will not bring anything new but stick to the bible and reiterating what God had said in the bible and as you said. His job is like that of Elijah in that like Israel fell during the time of Ahab knowing very well the law sought after other gods and his job was to bring back the children of Israel to their first love and also his job is to ask the church to go back to its first love though the message was delivered almost 2000 years ago.

What the bible is saying is that in the last days during the days of the of the voice of the seventh angel, he will be the last messenger of God and during his time the gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all nations. And then the end shall come.

This messenger is the seventh Angel as stated by John as one among that are in His Hand and this messenger is also mentioned in Rev10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Because he is the seventh messenger to the Church it should be noted as stated above that during his days the mystery of God shall be finished and as John stated in Rev 10:4-7 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth forever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

John was restricted from writing what the Angel was saying because God was to reveal all mystery in the days of the voice of the seventh angel who is the messenger of the Church of Laodicea when the mystery of God should be finished. This messenger who is a man should be distinguished from the sixth trumpeting angel who is a heavenly being as stated in Rev 9:13 and the seventh one in Rev 11:15.

Because he is a prophet and a messenger of the Laodicea Church which is a Gentile church will mean that he will be a Gentile who God has made as His prophet.

His message is to finish the mystery of God as He had declared to His servants and prophets. Please note the Lord reveals his secrets to His prophets and messengers as stated in Amos 3:6-7 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

This messenger who is a man is a prophet of God who will reveal the mysteries of God and finish the mysteries of God. Also note that this is before the coming of the Lord and he is sent to finish the mysteries of God just before the coming of the Lord and as stated in Malachi 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Is he Elijah? In Mat 17:1-13 And after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain apart. And He was transfigured before them. And His face shone as the sun, and His clothing was white as the light. And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah talking with Him. And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here. If You will, let us make here three tabernacles; one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah. While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And behold a voice out of the cloud which said, This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, hear Him. And when the disciples heard, they fell on their face and were greatly terrified. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise and do not be terrified. And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one except Jesus alone. And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man has risen from the dead. And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

Note that Jesus speaking told His disciples not to tell any man of the vision of Moses and Elijah meeting Him until the Son of Man had been risen from dead. That is when they asked why then said the scribes that Elias must first come?

Please note Jesus answered that Elijah truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elijah is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

He did not say who Elijah was but the disciples understood that He spoke of Elijah and please note that revelation is only given by the Holy Spirit.

In the book of Luke describes what John will do according to the Word of the Lord given to Zacharias in Luke 1:13-17 But the angel said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias. For your prayer is heard, and your wife Elizabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you shall have joy and gladness, and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall neither drink wine nor strong drink. And he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. And he shall turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

The Angel says to Zacharias that he shall turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

He would turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

He is the messenger also described in Malachi 3:1-3 where the Lord says Behold, I am sending My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the Lord whom you are seeking shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of Hosts. But who can endure the day of His coming? And who will stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fuller's soap. And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; and He shall purify the sons of Levi and purge them like gold and like silver, that they may be presenters of a grain offering in righteousness to Jehovah

In Malachi 3 it says that messenger will clear a way for the Lord as described in Matthew 3:1-3 Now in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the deserted places of Judea, and saying, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near. For this is he spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord! Make His paths straight!" Isa. 40:3

Behold the Bible says that he would for He is like a refiner's fire and like fuller's soap. And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; and He shall purify the sons of Levi and purge them like gold and like silver, that they may be presenters of a grain offering in righteousness to Jehovah which is confirmed where John the Baptist says in Mat 3:11-12 I indeed baptize you in water to repentance; but He who is coming after me is stronger than me, of whom I am not able to lift The sandals. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire, whose fan is in His hand, and He will cleanse His floor and will gather His wheat into the storehouse. But He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Again if one will notice that in Malachi 4:1-6 the LORD says “For, behold, the day is coming, burning like a fire pot; and all the proud and every doer of wickedness shall be chaff. And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, that I not come and strike the earth with utter destruction.”

You will also notice here that Jehovah is saying that He will send a messenger Elijah before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Jehovah.

What would his work be? And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, that the Lord may not come and strike the earth with utter destruction.

For says Joel 2:22-32 Fear not, beasts of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness grow green, for the tree bears its fruit, the fig tree and the vine give their strength. Then be glad, sons of Zion, and rejoice in Jehovah your God. For He has given to you the early rain according to righteousness, and He will cause the rain to come down for you, the early rain and the latter rain in the first month. And the floors shall be full with grain, and the wine vats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years which the swarming locust has eaten, the locust larvae, and the stripping locust, and the cutting locust, My great army which I sent among you. And you shall eat fully and be satisfied; and you shall praise the name of Jehovah your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And My people shall not be ashamed forever. And you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am Jehovah your God, and there is no other. And My people shall not be ashamed forever. And it shall be afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also I will pour out My Spirit on the slaves and on the slave-girls in those days. And I will give signs in the heavens and in the earth: blood, and fire, and columns of smoke. The sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of Jehovah. For it shall be, all who shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be saved. For salvation shall be in Mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, as Jehovah has said, and among the survivors whom Jehovah shall call.

In these days before the terrible day of the Lord the people who shall seek the Lord will according to Hoses 6:3 …..follow on to know Jehovah. His going forth is established as the dawn. And He shall come to them as the rain, as the latter and former rain to the earth.

Basically what Joel was saying that before the terrible day of the Lord, God will restore the spiritual life of His people and Jehovah Himself shall come to the people as the rain as the latter and former rain to the earth.

Oh that you may see, the Lord was going to restore to His people back to its first love.

For according to Psalms 72:6 He shall descend like rain on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth and yes the people would be given the early and the latter rain and confirmed in Revelation 21:6 ….. To the one thirsting, I will freely give of the fountain of the Water of Life.

What is means is that the day of the Lord is coming when His people have fully matured and known Him as the Lion and Lamb.

When is the Day of the Lord? According to the Bible it is a terrible day when the Lord will be, burning like a fire pot; and all the proud and every doer of wickedness shall be chaff. And the coming day will set them ablaze, says Jehovah of Hosts, which will not leave root or branches to them and also as stated in 2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with rushing sound, and having burned the elements will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be burned up.

It is dreadful day when the Lord himself will come and punish the wicked and the evil doer and note it is not John was not sent before the great dreadful day of the Lord but for His first coming.

And therefore one will agree that there is another messenger coming before the great dreadful day of the Lord who shall turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers.

Now John the Baptist came as Elijah and he turned the hearts of the Israelites, the hearts of the children that was then accepting his message, the hearts of the fathers to the children. But when this messenger comes who has come, he's going to turn the hearts of the church back to the fathers and the fathers back to the children.

Now, when this great Elijah comes in the end of this age, he'll be taking the message of Fathers to turn the children to the faith of the fathers, because he'll be rebuking them because that they didn't keep this same faith that was back there at the beginning.

Please remember that Elijah during his time did a lot of miracles than preaching while John the Baptist preached with power with no miracles because that was prepared for the Lord Jesus to preach and perform miracles and for this Prophet who is to come and has come, is and will be doing great miracles and preach repentance as was directed by God.

Please note that Malachi says that Elijah mission will be return heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers just as John the Baptist did before the coming of ministry of Jesus as was stated in Luke 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

So this prophet will come in the spirit and power of Elijah and his mission will be to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

Also note that Jesus said that John the Baptist was Elijah as stated in Mat 17:11-12 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

Please note that John the Baptist got the Israel ready for Jesus and this prophet will make Church ready for the return of Jesus.

Just as the same Spirit came upon John the Baptist also this Spirit will come upon this prophet that will bring about great and wonderful manifestation. As a prophet every revelation will be vindicated and every revelation will come to pass. Wonderful acts of power will be done at his command in faith accompanied by the message from God of repentance and some will listen and majority will reject him.

Since this prophet will be like Elijah and John the Baptist who were set apart from other religious leaders, he will rebuke the religious leaders of their corruption and the churches immorality just like Elijah lashed out at Israel unrepentant heart with the religious leaders and John the Baptist at the hardened heart of Israel and religious leaders who were known as the Pharisees.

Though he will not be popular he will be vindicated by God and just as John saw the coming of Christ he will also see the return of Christ as he is and will be the forerunner of the return of Jesus.

And because he has come in the Spirit of Elijah as stated in Malachi 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

And because of his message of repentance those who will disregard this message will experience the wrath of God for the wicked will be punished as is stated in Mal 4:1-3 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

Also remember that this prophet will come and has come when the Church has fallen or departed from faith as was the days of Elijah when Israel had departed from God and as was in the days of John the Baptist when Israel also had departed from God and only the Children will be turned back to God as was during Elijah time when God said He had kept for himself 7000 people and the time of John the Baptist when only a few turned and believed Jesus.

At this time when we are now here the bible says we will have only one prophet/messenger as stated in Rev 10: 7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

The bible says in the days of the voice of the seventh angel who is a messenger, when he shall begin to sound in that he is the Major prophet.

What I am trying to say is that God is a God of order and He never brings two Major Prophets at a time. Take for example He gave only Enoch, He gave Noah alone, He gave Moses alone, He gave Elijah alone, He gave John the Baptist alone.

Please note I said his prophetic ministry will be to reveal mysteries and to turn people back to God which will not be granted to another person but him specifically to prepare the Church which has fallen to meet her Messiah. His work is to minister to the people so that they could prepare for the return of Jesus Christ.

His mission is to fulfill what is stated in Joel 2:22-32 Fear not, beasts of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness grow green, for the tree bears its fruit, the fig tree and the vine give their strength.

Just as this man is raised to bring back the hearts of the children back to God also another spirit of deception is also released through the works of the false prophets.

Just like Elijah encountered false prophets also this messenger will also encounter false prophets. Also note that the Antichrist spirit is also identified with the false prophets as stated both in 2Th 2:9-10 Mar 13:22 where it stated and His coming is according to the working of Satan in all power and miraculous signs and lying wonders, and in all deceit of unrighteousness in those being lost, because they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved and Mar 13:22 for false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give miraculous signs and wonders in order to seduce, if possible, even the elect.

These false prophets will lead many to destruction and because of their love for money and just like Judas they will and have spent more time on preaching offerings than the word of God. They use their gifts to ask for money and neglect the word and call of it the Lord and many will still believe them and support them.

They would try to impersonate the true messenger of God and when he says revival is over they the false messengers would claim a great revelation that God is going to do even a better and bigger revival and many people would fall for it. They will also claim that he has not been schooled in any theologian school just like Pharisees said about Jesus and his disciples and they will warn people not hear him (messenger) for he teaches wrong.

By the way just as John the Baptist was baptizing people and they confessing their sins and when the religious leaders started to inquire of who the John the Baptist was, then the messiah came as stated in Mat 3:6-13 And they were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins. But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said to them, O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance; and do not think to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as our father. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. And now also, the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bring forth good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire. I indeed baptize you with water to repentance. But He who comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire; whose fan is in His hand, and He will cleanse His floor and gather His wheat into the storehouse; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. Then Jesus came from Galilee to Jordan, to John, to be baptized by him.

It will be the same with this last prophet as people are coming to him to hear the message and repenting and when many of the religious leaders will come to his baptism then the Lord will come and take His Church just as happened in the time of the John the Baptist.

LAODICEA CHURCH

A)To the Church Jesus says I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold, or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to vomit you out of My mouth.

State of luke-warm is a state where the liquid is in the middle between hot and cold.

Luke-warmness in spirituality means a mixture of both worldly things and the things of God and what has happened to this church is that because of the deception of the post-modern lifestyle it has become acceptable to mix sin with the salvation that was given by Jesus Christ and forgotten the message that was given by Christ that requires one to live a separate life for scriptures say do not be yoked together with unbelievers.

We are in the last days, wherein the prevalent church is the church of Laodicea, we are living in the days of lukewarm Christianity wherein professing Christians have a form of godliness but denying its power. This characterized the people in the last days as it is written in 2 Timothy 3:5; having a form of godliness, but denying the power of it; even turn away from these.

The people in the last days will be marked by people with religion but no actual born-again experience. They are living very religious lives but they have no power over sin.

In the sense it is a Church that is not spiritual and that has an outlook of a worldly lifestyle. It should be noted that luke-warmness creates a myriad of activities to replace the things of God with the worldly things and therefore makes the Church to lay emphasizes on the worldly things.

The spirit of materialism is ruling the church of Laodicea. Their ideals of success and dreams are associated with the material things. Materialism is devotion to material wealth and possession at the expense of spiritual values. Their sense of security comes from their possessions.

Because this church has become lukewarm God will vomit them out of His mouth. What has happened is that the Church is supposed to be the instrument of God to warn the world and therefore becomes a mouth piece of God. But once she becomes lukewarm she no longer represent God but herself and the world and therefore no longer a mouth piece of God and which will mean that God will Himself vomit this Church from His mouth because they have esteemed their words more than the word of God.

Why I state like above is that there is nowhere in the bible where the Church is said to be in His mouth, but it is usually said that they are engraved in His palm, The Church is carried in His bosom, in His mind. What is in the Mouth of God is His Word which is supposed to be in the mouth of the Church. And once this Church has departed from the Word and pursues the world then it no longer has the word of God in its mouth. And this is the reason why I say that the Church now has no power of God because the word of God is not in them. And because of this God will Himself spew out this Church out of His mouth.

That is why God has sent someone who is out of the Church organization, structure, education and the religion that is like Elijah and John the Baptist to be God’s mouth piece and as declared in Malachi 4 for will turn the Children back to God in repentance and restore the truth in the Church and thereby finishing the mystery of God and preparing for the return of the Lord.

B) Because you say, I am rich, and I am made rich, and I have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. I advise you to buy from Me gold having been fired by fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, and your shame and nakedness may not be revealed. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

Please note this Church says “I am rich and I am made rich and have no need of nothing” clearly shows that it is prideful but in the eyes of the Lord wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked.

This Church has forgotten this scripture Mat 6:19-21 Do not lay up treasures on earth for yourselves, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up treasures in Heaven for yourselves, where neither moth nor rust corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

This Church clearly looked at herself and saw that she was rich in earthly goods and wealth. One should note that God delights in a humble and a contrite spirit and will fight a prideful heart. Even now it is visibly seen in the Christian television how the Church has become prideful and egoistic as it is either proud in the amount of earthly wealth that she commands, or the physical beauty with which she walks, or the earthly well-connected friends that clamour around her. She calls them her inner circles of friends and they are entirely worldly by all spiritual standards. For example the Pastors are seen as engaged in the vanity of pursuing earthly things and wealth. Not only do they observe that vanity, but it is also heard that the Pastors directly confessing of living to self.

The question that is being asked is why is the priesthood seeking earthly solutions for earthly problems? How can they present temporary solution to these earthly problems? In that way, they have presented a perishable gospel. Only the gospel of the eternal salvation of the Blood of Jesus can sought mankind out today.

Talking about wealth it should be noted that the Church in the recent time is extremely rich as each group vies to build the most beautiful, biggest and loveliest sanctuaries. In some Churches it has become big business as everything is sold including the anointing oil and placing of business managers to manage Church finances and yet the book of Acts teaches us that seven men full of the Holy spirit and faith served the Lord in business matters.

There are millions of amounts of money sent to radio and television stations and yet the work been done has not overtaken what was done by the Church when it had no money for the early Church worked through the power of the Holy Spirit.

It seems that the Church is rich and yet the power of God is not there and yet God moves by His Spirit not by the amount of money.

Now the worst thing is that the Church has gone all out to get membership of the wealthy that are godless and therefore have changed to make itself appealing to the rich to come in and be active in the Church.

By the way if the Church is rich in spiritual goods this would be felt in the community. Then ask yourself why are these problems in the Church like the energy crisis, the mortgage crisis, environmental crisis, global food crisis, global disease crisis, crisis of global wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran, global marital and divorce crisis, drug abuse crisis, Alcohol abuse crisis, abortion crisis, teen pregnancies, suicides, homosexuality.

When someone says I have need of nothing he could well saying I am very comfortable in my position and I don’t want anything more. This Church is complacent made affluence the major criteria of spirituality.

God says this Church is wretched and miserable which means shameful, vile, pitful which the word wretched is derived from the words enduring trial. As it can be seen that in the age of plenty are there really trials? How many Christians boast that they have no trials and yet in the Word of God pure faith is built by the trails we go through and also we are advised that one should count it all joy when they fall into various trials, knowing that the proving of their faith works patience. And just like Jesus endured trial so also we should be humble and endure the trails we face. Also as stated 1Pe 4:12 Beloved, do not be astonished at the fiery trial happening among you for your testing, as if a surprise were occurring to you;

This Church has no trials and boast in no trials because the Evil one already knows that they are like him and there is no need of disturbing there peace.

This Church is called miserable which means to be pitied or pathetic because the boast of their spirituality and yet they are spiritually poor, blind and naked. Spiritual poor because they think that big spectacular buildings and their big numbers means that they are spiritual blessed and yet these building will collapse and the multitude who are fed with the gospel of the flesh will dwell in the flesh and not in the spirit and thereby leading a lot of people to the path of destruction.

Also this Church is blind in that it cannot be able to see that she is being deceived and happily trusts and believes the false prophets who preach about earthly treasures and not repentance through the blood of Christ.

This Church is blind and naked and like the Pharisee during the time of Jesus, has it all and cannot be taught. These are people who say that they are of God, know God and have His Holy Spirit and yet they are naked and blind and do not know it. It means they are already deceived and that they have the wrong spirit and the Holy Spirit is not in them.

They have become like the Jews who refused the message of repentance brought by Jesus and because they refused the word of God they have been covered with a veil and therefore become blind as stated 2Co 3:13-17 And we are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of the thing being done away. (But their thoughts were blinded; for until the present the same veil remains on the reading of the old covenant, not taken away.) But this veil has been done away in Christ. But until this day, when Moses is read, the veil is on their heart. But whenever it turns to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. And the Lord is that Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

They have left God’s care and protection and sought to build their own way and just like the Jews as stated in Rom 10:3 For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God.

Now the Counsel of God “I advise you to buy from Me gold having been fired by fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, and your shame and nakedness may not be revealed. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. I, as many "as I love, I rebuke and I chasten." Be zealous, then, and repent.

God counsel to this Church is to come to him because they are far from Him though they claim that they are closer to Him. With all the works that this Church has been able to do God is saying I am not in those things.

Buy from Me gold having been fired by fire, that you may be rich; This counsel for this Church is to as stated in 1Pe 1:7 so that the trial of your faith (being much more precious than that of gold that perishes, but being proven through fire) might be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

That this Church should have faith in God and that can only be restored by Jesus who will baptize them by Holy Spirit and fire and make them a new creature and thereby find praise and honor and glory before the Father.

The message is that this Church should go back to basics of belief in God and let the Holy Spirit work in their hearts by completely cleansing all sin that is their lives. A heart that is humble, repentant and willing to listen to the Holy Spirit that is refined in the furnace of affliction which the Lord considers precious in His sight.

The message is that the blessing of the Lord is not in material things that perish but in molding of the heart that is in the image of the Lord.

Therefore this prophet message will be to this Church repent from your evil works and turn to the Lord and allow the Holy Spirit to cleanse you so that you may be Holy just as the Lord is Holy.

Another counsel is the getting of white garments, that you may be clothed, and your shame and nakedness may not be revealed which means that the Church should be covered with blood of Jesus Christ and clothed with Jesus who is His Glory as stated in Romans 13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not make forethought of the flesh, for its lusts.

As explained it should be looked that as stated in Gen 2:25 the Bible says that Adam and Eve were both naked, the man and his wife, and they were not ashamed.

Why did Adam and Eve both naked not feel ashamed? It should be noted that their focus was on God and they did not seek to look unto themselves to know the state of the affairs.

Rightly this can be said that they had faith in God in that they looked unto God and as stated in (Psalm 34:5) “Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame"

Now let’s look at this verse those who look to Him are radiant their faces never covered with shame. You have to remember that our God is covered with His Glory and as stated in 1Peter 4:14 If you are reviled in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because "the Spirit of God and of glory rests on you." Truly, according to them, He is blasphemed; but according to you, He is glorified. Isa. 11:2.

If we look unto Him and be with Him our body will become radiant and the Spirit of God and His Glory will rest on us therefore we are never covered with shame. So it can be said that Adam and Eve were not ashamed because they were covered with the Spirit of God and of glory.

When the serpent came and deceived Eve as stated in Gen 3:6-7 And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and the tree was desirable to make one wise. And she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. And the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed leaves of the fig tree, and made girdles for themselves.

Sin resided first with our Accuser who beguiled Adam into disbelieving God’s Word and as stated in Rom 5:12 …….sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death passed to all men, inasmuch as all sinned. In this Adam failed to have faith in God and sin entered Man as he looked more at himself believing he could be as God knowing good and evil.

Basically sin entered into their hearts they were covered with shame and that is why immediately they recognized they were naked they sewed leaves of the fig tree, and made girdles for themselves.

Sin took the place of the Spirit of God and His glory and covered mankind with shame.

Oh, Oh, man looked awful, and as stated in Genesis 3: 21 And Jehovah God made coats of skin for the man and his wife, and clothed them. This meant that God sacrificed an animal that provided Adam and Eve coats to cover them so that they could be clothed. They had to be an animal that had to die for their sake so that they could be covered with clothing.

God later instituted the Law by which appearing year by year with the same sacrifices, were offered continually for the sins of Israel ,but still there was still a remembrance of sins year by year, for it is was not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

For in Psalms 40:6-8 The psalmist says “You did not desire nor were pleased with sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and sacrifices concerning sins," (which are offered according to the Law), then He said, "Lo, I come, in the heading of the Book it was written concerning Me, to do Your will, O God."

This as stated by Paul (Heb 10:1-9) was concerning Christ as He offered Himself to be sacrifice that would be offered for the sins of mankind. Oh that you may see love of God that is in Christ Jesus

For Christ did come and died for the sins of mankind and by that His death He brought us closer to God by looking unto Him so that we can know Him. By His coming He destroyed sin as He directed people to God and sin had no power over the people as long as they looked unto Him. For God was in Him and Him in God.

That is why it said that sin cannot reside in His presence because in His nature we are bound to cherish and adore Him and like a fire He consumes sin. The more His presence is in us the more sin is revealed, judged and driven away. His presence allows us to adore Him and the more we are in presence the more we are like Him. The more we are like Him the more our faces become radiant and covered with Spirit of God and His glory.

Therefore the message of this Prophet is that this Church should ensure that the Lord covers them with His garment which is the glory of God. In this sense the counsel was to this Church that they are full of sin and therefore naked and one can only be covered with a white garment after they have been washed by the blood of Jesus. What He was saying is that this Church after it had fallen from grace it tried to cover herself with material things like the way Adam and Eve covered themselves with leaves after sinning against God.

And it was now time to go back to God and seek Him so that in His mercy He could cover the Church with His garment and thereby discarding the material things that she had accumulated and covered herself with.

Another Counsel was to this Church was that they should ask Jesus ‘to anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see’.

What Jesus was trying to say is that this Church should receive the Holy Spirit for He is the only one who can open eyes to the things of God as stated in 1Co 2:9-14 But as it is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard," nor has it entered into the heart of man, "the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of man within him? So also no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Which means this Church does not have the Holy Spirit but a counter spirit that is not of God.

What this prophet would say to this Church is to receive the Holy Spirit and let Him work in their lives and fulfill the verse on Joel that says And it shall be afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also I will pour out My Spirit on the slaves and on the slave-girls in those days.

With this statement “I, as many "as I love, I rebuke and I chasten." Be zealous, then, and repent.”

This is the message be zealous and repent that was stated by John the Baptist in the wilderness to the religious people in Israel like the Pharisees, Sadducees and those who thought that they knew.

This is the message of the true prophet of the Church and with that the Lord will rebuke those He loves and that they should turn away from wickedness and follow God. His message will be to the Church REPENT, REPENT, REPENT, REPENT and seek Righteousness and Holiness for the Lord is coming.

It is the Call to this Church to say “I am wrong”

Yes this is the message that Jesus said when it is preached in all corners of the world then the end of the age would come as stated in Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all nations. And then the end shall come.

With the statement “I, as many "as I love, I rebuke and I chasten” the Lord is saying what is stated in Heb 12:5-14 And you have forgotten the exhortation which He speaks with you, as with sons, "My sons, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor faint while being corrected by Him. For whom the Lord loves, He disciplines, and whips every son whom He receives." Prov. 3:11, 12 If you endure discipline, God is dealing with you as with sons; for who is the son whom a father does not discipline? But if you are without discipline, of which all have become sharers, then you are bastards, and not sons. Furthermore, indeed we have had fathers of our flesh as correctors, and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits, and we shall live? For they truly disciplined us for a few days according to the thing seeming good to them; but He for our profit, in order for us to partake of His holiness. And all discipline for the present indeed does not seem to be joyous, but grievous; but afterward it gives back peaceable fruit of righteousness to the ones having been exercised by it. Because of this, "straighten the hands" hanging alongside, "and the enfeebled knees;" "and make straight tracks for your feet," that the lame not be turned aside, but rather healed. Isa. 35:3; Prov. 4:26 Eagerly pursue peace and holiness with all, without which no one will see the Lord.

What the Lord is trying to say is that the Church should not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor faint while being corrected by Him. For whom the Lord loves, He disciplines, and whips every son whom He receives.

For Paul says He disciplines His Church, in order they may partake of His holiness as it gives back peaceable fruit of righteousness to the ones having been exercised by it, for without peace and holiness no one will see the Lord.

It is what God wants the Church to cry with zeal “I am wrong”

Will this Church seek repentance?

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock: If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will enter to him, and I will dine with him, and he with Me. The one overcoming, I will give to him to sit with Me in My throne, as I also overcame and sat with My Father in His throne. The one who has an ear, hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.”

Jesus says He is at the door and If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will enter to him, and I will dine with him, and he with Me.

The whole message is not to the individual but to the Church and it is the message to the Church that Jesus is not in the Church but outside for He has left the Church. It is the same thing as happened during the Jewish times when the glory of God left the Temple before the destruction of the Temple.

This is what is said as the falling away of the Church as explained below;

Paul says that the day of the Lord will not come unless apostasy which means falling away comes first.

This means that in the latter days some Christians will depart from faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrine of demons. Speaking lies in hypocrisy and having their conscience seared with iron. Basically some Christians will harden their hearts as in rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness and Paul warns us that beware then brethren, lest there be any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.

Paul goes on to warn the Gentiles that because of unbelief they were broken off (Israel) and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he may not spare you either. Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God, on those who fell severity, but towards you goodness. Otherwise you will be cut off.

How are we departing from the living God?

Unbelief

We have to jog our memory a little, Abraham the father of faith it is said that he against hope believed in hope, for him to become a father of many nations, according to what has been said, "So shall your seed be." Gen. 15:5 And being about a hundred years old, not weakening in faith, he did not consider his body to have died already, nor yet the death of Sarah's womb, and did not stagger by unbelief at the promise of God, but was empowered by faith, giving glory to God.

He did not stagger in faith being fully persuaded that what He has promised, He is also able to do. Because of this, "it was also counted to him for righteousness." Gen. 15:6

Unbelief is the lack of faith in God and said to be lacking in the looking unto the Lord because He is God our blessed assurance.

It is the placing of faith on oneself and other things apart from God. It is the refusing to put faith in God irrespective of the circumstance and without remembering Rom 14:23 that says “…..whatever is not of faith is sin.”

For Jesus said in John 14:1 Do not let your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me and as Jesus said in John 3:18 The one believing into Him is not condemned; but the one not believing has already been condemned, for he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Oh you believe that God is One. You do well; even the demons believe and shudder. My dear I am talking about faith in God that matches with works. Faith in simple terms says that whatever is in ones heart should march with works.

Basically the bible is saying that those who are in unbelief and claim to know God are speaking lies in hypocrisy and having their conscience seared with iron.

This now explains that one cannot say that he believes in God and yet does not do as commanded to do. Faith in simple terms says that whatever is in ones heart should march with works. Therefore faith is the belief in God that what is said in the word of God is true which is a shield used to quench all the darts of the evil.

If one looks at Rom 10:17 which provides that Then faith is of hearing, and hearing through the Word of God. And further explained in Gal 3:11 which says “And that no one is justified by Law before God is clear because, "The just shall live by faith."

Which means that living in unbelief involves living and seeking after the flesh which wars after the spirit and this unbelief can also be described as believing that the blood of Jesus cannot wash away sins.

And because of the unbelief of this Church Jesus has left the Church just like God left Israel when they lead a life that was full of unbelief.

Oh that you may see and depart from sin as the Lord’s blood washes away all sins. Unbelief also may be described as stopping to look unto the Lord and looking unto other things that drives the Christian away from God.

This unbelief is what God calls rebellion. In that they once knew the Lord but they placed their faith somewhere else and thereby tested the Lord.

Oh that you may look at your heart, is it near to the Lord. Is your heart desires in the things of the world? Are you seeking the things of the world in God’s name? Does your desires in your heart match with your works?

Oh I pray may the Lord open your eyes. Some Christians are depart from faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrine of demons.

Oh that the Lord may open your eyes so that the sin of wanting to trade with the world may not entangled you.

The desire to own things of the world will drive you away from God. Is your heart running after activity be it in Church or the world that has taken the place of God? Which treasures are you seeking the world or heaven? Do you seek after the Lord or are you seeking after the treasures of the world?

Oh that you may see, are the worries, the cares of the world wrapped around your heart,

Oh turn to the Lord,

For wanting to trade with the world instead of seeking the heavenly treasures the Lord describes this as rebellion.

Oh seek Him, Seek Him and turn from rebellion.

What this means is that Jesus had already left the Church and He is standing outside and in last chance before His coming He is saying “If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will enter to him, and I will dine with him, and he with Me.”

Will the Church listen?

To those who will listen, Jesus says in Rev 3:21 The one overcoming, I will give to him to sit with Me in My throne, as I also overcame and sat with My Father in His throne.

What is the Church that it has to overcome? It is stated in Rom 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome the evil with good.

And just like Jesus overcome in John 16:33 I have spoken these things to you that you may have peace in Me. You have distress in the world; but be encouraged, I have overcome the world. The Church is also asked not to be distress but be encouraged and just as Jesus overcame they also will overcome as stated in 1John 2:14 Fathers, I have written to you because you have known Him from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the Word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil.

And those who overcome like Jesus did then they will sit with Jesus in His throne, as He also overcame and sat with My Father in His throne.

The last warning as stated in Rev 3:22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

This is the last warning before the great day of the Lord; hear him who speaks in the name of the Lord, for the throne is already prepared and everything is ready.

And here is the message of the last prophet and Messenger; Repent and turn away from your wickedness and pursue righteousness and holiness for the Lord is coming, Prepare the way of the Lord.
