‘He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the Day of Jesus Christ’ (1:6). God finishes what He starts. We don`t keep going because we are strong. We are ‘kept by the power of God’ (1 Peter 1:5). God’s command - ‘Work out your own salvation’ - must never be separated from His promise - ‘God is at work in you’ (2:12-13). Let us ‘shine as lights in the world. Let us shine for Him who is ‘the Light of the world’ - our Lord Jesus Christ (2:15; John 8:12). ‘Christ Jesus has made me His own’ (3:12). He has laid claim to every part of our life. ‘Rejoice in the Lord always’ (4:4). Bring ‘everything’ to Him in prayer (4:6). Be ‘content in all circumstances’ (4:11-12). Face every challenge with confidence in His strength - ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’ (4:13). Trust Him to ‘supply’ your ‘every need’ (4:19).
