73-year-old Edward Cain would tell you he wasn’t a bad man, he had just never been interested in the Gospel for most of his life. Cain had been married for 43 years, and worked hard driving a truck for more than 40 years. Sometimes he would worry, but didn’t see the need to trust Jesus as his provider, protector, or Lord. Cain said he also knew God had warned him several times through accidents that he needed to get right with his Maker, but he never found the time. When a good friend invited Cain over to talk about Jesus, he knew this was his time. He prayed in the driveway and committed his life to Jesus. He was baptized the following Sunday and now uses his driving skills to pick up neighborhood children in the church van. Cain said knowing Jesus has made a major difference in his life, and lifted a huge burden in his soul. He added, ”Before I was always worried about this and that. And now everything is just calm and peaceful.”
