Today we celebrate our mother, we celebrate and confess with all the Angels with all the Saints with all the Church that God by the merit of Jesus Christ preserve Mary for the contamination of the original sin.
So the Mother Mary is the first fruit of the passion of Christ, she was save, to give birth to the savior of the God.
The Bible confesses it, it uses the only word full of Grace, full of God, that means that a the moment of the greeting of the Angel Mary was in a total state of Grace.
The Church develop the convenience that Mary had been conceived without sin:
He could; it was convenience; therefore, He did it!, was the resume of Blessed Duns Scotto
God can do it: Yes because all things are possible to God.
Was convenience that the mother of God, were conceive with out sin? Yes because as Saint Tomas Aquinas:
because of the singular manner in which the Son of God, who is the "Divine Wisdom" (1 Cor. 1:24) dwelt in her, not only in her soul but in her womb. And it is written (Wis. 1:4): "Wisdom will not enter into a malicious soul, nor dwell in a body subject to sins."
And God did, because he did what it more convince always:
There another argument that can lead us to see why it was necessary that Mother Mary was conceived without sin
And is related to the perfect Justice of God, that wants to put remedy by the same means that causes it fall.
The first develop is presented by Saint Justino Martyr, who was instructed in the
Faith in Ephesus, where Mother Mary ad Saint Jhon the Evangelist used to live.
"Christ . . . He was born of the Virgin as a man, so that by the same way that the serpent's disobedience began, by that same way it might also be destroyed. For Eve, while she was still a virgin and incorrupt, having conceived the word spoken to her by the serpent, gave birth to disobedience and death; but Mary, the virgin, conceived faith and joy when the angel Gabriel gave her the good news that the Spirit of the Lord would come upon her and that the power of the Most High would cover her with his shadow, so that what is born of her, holy, would be the Son of God; To which she replied: "Let it be done to me according to your word" (Lk 1:38). And from the virgin was born Jesus, to whom we have shown so many Scriptures to refer, by whom God destroys the serpent and the angels and men who resemble it"
Saint John Henry Newman, with his deep knowledge of the Ancient Fathers wrote:
"If there is an apostle on whom we should keep our eyes fixed when he instructs us about the Blessed Virgin, it is St. John, to whom our Lord entrusted her on the cross... with whom, as tradition says, he lived in Ephesus until he died. This presentiment has its confirmation; for, as I have said before, one of our oldest and most complete informers as to her dignity, as the second Ev, is Irenaeus, who came to Lyons from Asia Minor, and had been formed by the immediate disciples of St. John."

Jesus is presented as the new Adam, ad new head and Mother Mary is presented as New Eve, if old Eve was Virgen and without sin, the New Eve must be conceived without sin, to say yes and to bring the salvation to this world again.
Roy H. Schoeman, who recently converted his life to the Catholic True, have a dream where Mary gives call him to the faith, and Mother Mary told that her favorite prayer is that:
O Mary, Conceived Without Sin, Pray for Us Who Have Recourse to Thee
150 Year ago, another Jew, Alphonse Ratsbane, with been a Cristian, and while he was waiting a friend in Rome, he enter to a church for Curiosity and the Church became dark only saw Mother Mary, in his words: Glancing at her hands, I saw her expression of pardon and mercy. Today that we are celebrating this true that God wants to bright more in the last time, make the propose of wear the Medal of Mary and to pray all the days: o Mary Conceive without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
