After the 2012 shootings at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, many suggestions have been made to prevent such occurrences in the future. One of the most unique approaches has come from Texas Governor, Rick Perry. He recommended prayer as a way to combat violence in the United States. He said evil has many ways of getting into the minds of people, and new laws will not stop it. Perry said, “As a free people, let us choose what kind of people we will be.
