This Week’s Theme: Look for Christ
Word for the Week is Revelation: It is the making known of God’s person, nature and deeds, in Scripture, history and supremely the person of Jesus Christ. God is also made known, to a limited yet important extent, through his creation.
Memory verse: 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
Essence of the Text: During the time of a Roman census, Joseph took Mary to Bethlehem to be counted and there she birthed her first born son, Jesus and God was praised because of this birth.
Proposition: As Christians, we are called to celebrate that the Savior came into the world, who is Christ the Lord.
Objective: I want those in attendance, to glorify God for the greatest gift ever given.

II. He moved them to the Right Place

Luke 2:1–4 NKJV
1 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. 3 So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. 4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,

Luke 2:6–7 NKJV
