The Holy Hill

The Holy Hill

Author Guardian

Listen carefully !!

Who may climb the Mountain of the Lord ? Psalm 24 !!

Where is the Moses of this generation ?

Who will climb the mountain of the Lord ?

Who has a willing heart ?

Who may stand in His Holy Place ?

The Blood of Jesus can make the foulest clean that you may walk up the mountain and stand in that Holy Place, where you take off your shoes, becasue God has washed your feet and made and makes you Holy .

You can ascend the Hill of The Lord and satnd as Moses in this generation and speak to God, you can walk up that terrifying mountain of the Lord, towards the Holy of Holies !!

You can walk through the veil and into His prescence !!

Because your hands are clean and you have been declared innocent.

You have washed feet, washed by Jesus !!

You are the Moses of this generation !!

The Abraham of this generation !!

Gods word is A Sword - Two edges of the same sword or " Paradox " many many in Gods words thats why its a sword .

We need to be childlike in our faith believing in faith ..not letting adult things get in the way - and yet be mature in our faith, not feeding on milk but on solid food

.

It is evident that God speaks to us no matter how much of the bible we have read or even if we have not read the bible at all, at this point we can have childlike faith, but at the same time we need to feed and grow so that we will not be blown around like reeds listening to false doctrine, but be strong in our faith,

therein having the knowledge ( not be ignorant as some translations put it which can be the believers biggest enemy ) this knowledge of the word is our sword, being the sword, that we use

to defend and attack and God uses in us to cut through the motives and intentions of the heart in us. .

Too often however this sword is used to attack and it is forgotten the sword has a double edge and in the use of such a weapon the weapon can strike back at us

This double edged sword can give us the "childlike faith" cutting through the "adult " sensibilities of intellectual rhubarb and leaving us like children utterly dependent on "Dad"

At the same time compelling us to Himself thus drawing us to His word that gives us the Maturity of faith

1.BE LIKE CHILDREN - SIMPLE FAITH - BELIEVE AS A SOLDIER .

2. BE ADULT AND MATURE - STRONG IN FAITH

Also do not be surprised once you have used this faith that you are tested, with the increase of faith comes the increase of testing, with the increase of testing comes the increase of grace and ability to endure

Lets look into Cross references..

Matthew 10:37-38 (The Message)

34-37"Don't think I've come to make life cozy. I've come to cut—make a sharp knife-cut between son and father, daughter and mother, bride and mother-in-law—cut through these cozy domestic arrangements and free you for God. Well-meaning family

members can be your worst enemies. If you prefer father or mother over me, you don't deserve me. If you prefer son or daughter over me, you don't deserve me.

Can we put our hands to the plough and look back ?

Can we first say " let me go back "?

Can we become a pillar of salt ?

Who do I put first ?

Who is my first love ?

Mark 8:34 (The Message)

34-37Calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, "Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You're not in the driver's seat; I am. Don't run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I'll show you how. Self-help is no help at all.Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to saving yourself, your true self. What good would

it do to get everything you want and lose you, the real you? What could you ever trade your soul for?

Read this and hear

1 Kings 17:9-24 (New International Version)

9 "Go at once to Zarephath of Sidon and stay there. I have commanded a widow in that place to supply you with food." 10 So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, "Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?" 11 As she was going to get it, he called, "And bring me, please, a piece of bread."

12 "As surely as the LORD your God lives," she replied, "I don't have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die."

13 Elijah said to her, "Don't be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small cake of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. 14 For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel,

says: 'The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD gives rain on the land.' "

15 She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. 16 For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the LORD spoken by Elijah.

17 Some time later the son of the woman who owned the house became ill. He grew worse and worse, and finally stopped breathing. 18 She said to Elijah, "What do you have against me, man of God? Did you come to remind me of my sin and kill my son?"

19 "Give me your son," Elijah replied. He took him from her arms, carried him to the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his bed. 20 Then he cried out to the LORD, "O LORD my God, have you brought tragedy also upon this widow I am staying with,

by causing her son to die?" 21 Then he stretched himself out on the boy three times and cried to the LORD, "O LORD my God, let this boy's life return to him!"

22 The LORD heard Elijah's cry, and the boy's life returned to him, and he lived. 23 Elijah picked up the child and carried him down from the room into the house. He gave him to his mother and said, "Look, your son is alive!"

24 Then the woman said to Elijah, "Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the LORD from your mouth is the truth."

God had seen a widows heart during the drought and spoke to Elijah !!

Where is the Elijah of this generation ?

How strange it seems for a person to act on what God tells them !!

How strange for anyone to say that God speaks to them !!

How strange for that person to give up all they have and pack up their bags and go and do what God says !!

How foolish to sacrifice all for a word spoken from the creator of the universe !!

But this is how it seems to some, its foolishness to the world,

Ha Ha he says God speaks to him lol

But you know they mocked Jesus the same

Ha ha He says He is the Son of God ,,,

The Moses and Elijah and Elisha and Abraham of this generation are the people who hear Gods word and put it into practice, they are the ones who hear God speak...they listen, they seek, they get confirmation, they learn to listen to God and they then hear Him speak and they do what He says.

They put their lifes and families and homes and jobs to the side to do whatever God says

They do not listen to men or the world, but instead they listen to God..

Ooooooooooo is'nt that dangerous ? thats a bit risky ...is'nt it ?

Last weeks message at Church was about "taking a risk "

This weeks message at sunday school was about " prayer "

And we see that Elijah prayed that it would not rain and it did not rain for three and a half years

There is power in prayer, we have the same Holy Spirit in us that Elijah had, the same Holy Spirit that Elisha had, the same Holy Spiit that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in us.

In this study we see three pictures, three stories, three very true and real stories

The first is the story of Abraham, the second of Elijah, the third of Elisha ...all of these men heard God speak and followed Him

You see the widow in 1 Kings 17:9-24 was dieing of hunger as was the son, there was a drought, it had not rained for a long time and there was not any water, nothing would grow, the livestock would have died

This poor widow was gathering the last remaining sticks to make a fire to have her last meal, it was 3am, it was over as far as she was concerned, it was finished !!

God had spoken to Elija and told him about htis widow , for God had seen the heart of the widow and at this time there were many many people starbving and dying, why ?

Because Elijah had prayed that it would not rain so that the people would turn back to God

In times like these sometimes the only thing that will turn peoples hearts back to God is when a catatrophe happens and people turn

These people may have lived many years or few worshipping other Gods such as baal and they would have died in their devil worship, but God wants all to come to Himself and what are a few years of idol worship compared to an eternity of God worship ?

Elijah had prayed in Gods will, not that it was Gods will that people should die but in the hope that they might turn to God before it was too late.

And so here God see's a heart of a poor widow and son and sends Elijah and Elijah asks for bread and water to drink and even though this widow was on her last drop of water and last meal she goes

straight away to fetch for him

Now she did'nt have any bread but flour and oil and she was prepared give Elijah what she had

Then God speaks through Elijah and says that the oil shall not run dry nor the flour be used up until the drought had ended.

We also see that the son was brought back to life

And we read the same with Elisha in 2 Kings 4:8-37

And now we see what God is saying to us ?

This was not planned but simply came together

Psalm 24...who may climb the Holy Hill ?

Matthew 10:37-38 (The Message)

34-37"Don't think I've come to make life cozy. I've come to cut—make a sharp knife-cut between son and father, daughter and mother, bride and mother-in-law—cut through these cozy domestic arrangements and free you for God. Well-meaning family

members can be your worst enemies. If you prefer father or mother over me, you don't deserve me. If you prefer son or daughter over me, you don't deserve me.

You see Isaac was the only Son of Abraham, commanded to be sacrificed on a Hill, a Holy Hill and Abraham took the sharp blade to do as He was commanded

O how Abraham loved His only beloved Son and sent Him as a sacrifice on that Holy Hill !

O how God loved us that He sent His only Son to be sacrificed on that Holy Hill !

O how much we love God that we sacrifice our only self on that Holy Hill ?

To be the poor widow and be blessed is better than any wealthy man poor in spirit

Again we see a re enactment of the multiplication of food and we the son being brought back to life both with Elijah and Elisha

James 5:17

Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.

Its no good praying outside of Gods will, don't expect God to jump when we shout out commandments,

He is not a puppet to do our bidding..

This is why it is so important to know and listen for Gods voice, then when we hear we will know and we can act on what we hear.

Thus Elijah prayed for no rain, thus Elijah brought a dead man back to life.

We move in the Spirit, listening to the Spirit, moving in Gods Spirit,

Who may climb the Hill of the Lord ?

Today if you hear His voice do not harden your hearts.

Gods word ministers, for Jesus is the great Minister, Gods Word cuts deep and heals,Gods word can also be painful,

Also do not be surprised once you have used this faith that you are tested, with the increase of faith comes the increase of testing, with the increase of testing comes the increase of grace and ability to endure

Abrahams faith was tested, He was led out by the rod and staff, He climbed the hill, he was led out by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness...

But this was a Temptations path that led to testing, how tempting it must have been to disobey God ?

The sword can be painful, it cuts deep, but with it comes healing and the marks are the marks that carry through into eternity with us.

Pray with me and seek a deeper insight into Gods heart with me

Lord God Father of a multitude, Father of the Only Son who bled on a hill to free us from idols and to release us from that prison of chains, Father we take of our shoes as we stand on Holy Ground and we bow before you

We are ready to take risks, we are ready to lay down all, we are ready to be the widow, We are ready to see the limitless oil poured out so that we will be ready and waiting like the bridesmaids rather than the five bridesmaids who were left

.

What seems foolishness to the world now will turn into a double edged sword and strike back at those who scorn and mock

Father you are the Elijah who brings the son back to life and we can be the Elijahs with you in us, seeing those who are dead find life

Lord let the evidence of the Elijah and Elisha life turn the bread into limitless supply and let the miracles that we read be miracles in our lifes in Jesus name amen
