Jesus’ birth was not only an event in history but also an act of salvation and reconciliation. As we contemplate this great gift, we are reminded of our own insignificance.
We have all sinned against God and fallen short of His perfect standards. Yet, even in our brokenness, He sacrificed His Son as penance for our transgressions.
This sacrifice is a sign of God’s great love, mercy, and desire to bring us back into the fold of the divine. It serves as a reminder that we are loved and cherished by our heavenly Father.
Respond to this great gift with humility, gratitude, and awe, and accept it with an open heart.
May we extend the same grace and love to others, sharing the good news of this incredible gift with a world that is longing for hope and redemption.
Consider: In the spirit of reconciliation, ask your congregation to sit down with someone this week they have recently found themselves in a disagreement with. Ask them to intentionally give their time this week to sew peace into the world! Love Gives peace.
