Great Joy for All the People

When God speaks it always comes to Pass.
Luke 2:1 (CSB)
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole empire should be registered.
Luke is the only Gospel writer who links the events he recorded to world history.
But the this is more then just an event in History it is the world aligning with the word of God.
When God speaks everything aligns with Hid word.
2 Corinthians 1:20 CSB
For every one of God’s promises is “Yes” in him. Therefore, through him we also say “Amen” to the glory of God.
Our lives align to the promises that God has spoken his Word because of Jesus.
Luke 2:1–7 CSB
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole empire should be registered. This first registration took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So everyone went to be registered, each to his own town. Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family line of David, to be registered along with Mary, who was engaged to him and was pregnant. While they were there, the time came for her to give birth. Then she gave birth to her firstborn son, and she wrapped him tightly in cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
This is all the world aligning with what God has Spoken.
Right before this Luke writes of the events leading up to birth of Jesus.
Every single event God speaks, and then the impossible happens!
Luke 1 Zechariah and Elizabeth promised a baby in their old age
Angel shows up and tells them
They question Luke 1:18
Luke 1:18 CSB
“How can I know this?” Zechariah asked the angel. “For I am an old man, and my wife is well along in years.”
That same show up to a young lady named Marry and tells Her she is going to have a baby, and that baby is going to be the greatest gift of God to mankind
She asked Luke 1:34
Luke 1:34 CSB
Mary asked the angel, “How can this be, since I have not had sexual relations with a man?”
The angels response to these question:
Luke 1:37 CSB
For nothing will be impossible with God.”

All of these were Promises made that God fulfilled in order to bless mankind

Everything God spoke came to pass-
everything aligned with God words
Peoples bodies aligned ith what God spoke
Governments aligned with what God spoke

God still Speaks

Jeremiah 29:11 CSB
For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
God has plans for you- and they are plans of blessing just like those who we have looked at
and you might be sitting there thinking, “How can it be? How can I know?”
And God’s response is still “Luke 1:37
Luke 1:37 CSB
For nothing will be impossible with God.”

The Results of the blessing of God is always Praise!

-Mary praised
Luke 1:46–49 CSB
And Mary said: My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, because he has looked with favor on the humble condition of his servant. Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed, because the Mighty One has done great things for me, and his name is holy.
When God’s promises come to pass in our lives we rejoice
Psalm 107:1–3 CSB
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord proclaim that he has redeemed them from the power of the foe and has gathered them from the lands— from the east and the west, from the north and the south.
The problem withe word is that it lives outside of God’s word and therefore out side of God blessing,
Proverbs 14:12–13 CSB
There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way to death. Even in laughter a heart may be sad, and joy may end in grief.
The best the world can offer in the pursuit of happiness and that often still leads the sadness in the heart.
Yet is it only through the promise of God that there is true healing
true freedom
true Joy
True Satisfaction
Because with God Nothing is impossible in your life because of Jesus Christ
Ephesians 1:3 CSB
Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens in Christ.
God’s promise leads to blessing-
through Christ Jesus

The Second scene:

Luke 2:8–14 CSB
In the same region, shepherds were staying out in the fields and keeping watch at night over their flock. Then an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: Today in the city of David a Savior was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be the sign for you: You will find a baby wrapped tightly in cloth and lying in a manger.” Suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to people he favors!
The Good News for all people-
Luke 1:78–79 CSB
Because of our God’s merciful compassion, the dawn from on high will visit us to shine on those who live in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Isaiah 9:2 CSB
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness.
Christ came to set us free from the curse of sin
Galatians 3:13 CSB
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written, Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.
Without the Manger and the fulfillment of God’s word there is Cross
