Genesis 2:7 NKJV
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

1. Life is a gift and should not be wasted.

Psalm 90:12 NKJV
12 So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.
our number one gift is life we all have had disappointments in that life that keep us down.
we have all tried to move forward and fallen down and so as a result we have quit trying.
if we are not careful we will waste our lives while living in the disappointments rather than relying on the grace of God, we need to make a decision to dust off and stand again.

2. We need to clean up our life.

in Abilene we have this tendency to be hyper spiritual about life and just say that things that make us uncomfortable about us. we say it is “under the blood.”

“It’s Under The Blood.”

while it is “under the blood,” if it truly is under the blood then I will have no problem doing what I have to do to make whatever I have done right.
Matthew 5:22–24 NKJV
22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
James 3:13–18 NKJV
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Since it is “under the blood” the fruit should be us doing our part.

3. Having done my part to clean up my life, I need to seek the Lord for a way to move forward.

Philippians 3:12–14 NKJV
12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
