Psychiatrist Mark Epstein writing an opinion piece for the Sunday Review of The New York Times reminds us, “Trauma is not just the result of major disasters.” Trauma is a part of ordinary life. “One way or another, death (and its cousins: old age, illness, accidents, separation, and loss) hangs over all of us. Nobody is immune. Our world is unstable and unpredictable, and operates, to a great degree and despite incredible scientific advancement, outside our ability to control it.”
Because we all have an appointment with death we need to establish an after death plan. We could face the judgment seat any day, and undoubtedly we will face it eventually. --Jim L. Wilson and Rodger Russell
Hebrews 9:27 (CEV) We die only once, and then we are judged.
