Blessing and Gratitude

Numbers 6:24–26 (ESV)
The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
an attitude of gratitude will
turn the eyes of your heart toward the giver of all good things
help you float in troubled waters
center your mind on genuine priorities
relieve you of the burden of “grasping”

Courage and strength

Joshua 1:9 ESV
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
courage and strength are commanded
reasonably based on the presence of God (relationship)

Direction

Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
trust leads to faith in action
seek the highest perspective
seek the will of God- just like Jesus

Focus

Matthew 6:33 ESV
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Enduring Strength

Galatians 6:9 ESV
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
Press on to your due season

Wisdom

James 1:5–6 ESV
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
God is generous to all
Ask in resolute faith

Agape’

John 13:34–35 ESV
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Strength of Heart

2 Corinthians 4:16–18 (ESV)
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Steadfastness

1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
