What do I believe God wants them to know? God is to be #1 to inherit the land
Why? You cannot inherit the promiseland without God being #1
What do I believe God wants them to do? Inherit the land by keeping God #1
Why? God wants goodness for them
ME/WE
To inherit, possess, the land, the promiseland that God is calling Renew to, the land that God is calling you to is going to be an
How that is going to happen is through TWO different entities work together.
What two entities are those?
1. Act of God and his GRACE and GOODNESS
2. And act or will to follow God’s ways to inherit the land
To inherit the land and possess the land is not going to happen only by the grace of God.
He might give it to you by grace but to INHERIT it POSSESS it and KEEP IT is going to require your WILL
Some of us might be confused…I am not pocessing your salvation or redemptioin....That is 100% GRACE and GOD
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Just like God saves the nation of Israel from the bondage of Egypt…100% God....God then leads them out and says I have a land for you to possess, a promise land....a place for yo to go and there is going to be a reuirment on your end…you are going need to play a part in this, your will is going to need to be invovled.
Many of us in this room know this....Many of us have had this for our vocational call…Carly has had this calling to create a Wellness center for skin and muscles…this is what God has called her to do...
Carly, To inherit the calling of this business was it just sit back and watch God or did God call you to do things??
Or some of us it is not a physical locational or vocational thing but a Spiritual thing.
Where you are is not where you feel led to be and God is saying it is time to move to inherit the Spiritual land.
God is doing this with Renew…we are in season watching God bring to pass the Words spoken over the building

And not God is saying is the time to inherit the land that God has for Renew and it is going to require our WILL and VOLITION.
NOW THE QUESTION IS HOW DO WE KNOW WHAT TO DO?
THE SPIRIT AND THE WORD
Listen to what the Word of God says to the nation of Israel as they are about to enter the Promiseland
No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.
Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.
Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
What does God’s Word say to the nation of Israel to inherit the land?
BE STRONG and COURAGEOUS
AND follow the commandments and words of God
This is what God says to us
What law or Word would have been very familiar to them? What are ten words that were just written on a tablet by the finger of God?
The ten words: baseline
1.You shall have no other gods before Me.
2. You shall make no idols.
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
4. Keep the Sabbath day holy.
5. Honor your father and your mother.
6. You shall not murder.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
8. You shall not steal.
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10. You shall not covet.
Doing these will cause you to inherit the land.....SOME times we bristle at these Word because we don’t like be told what we can’t do....do not STEAL or MURDER or BEAR FALSE WITNESS
That Jesus sums up in Gospels
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
This is the great and first commandment.
And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
Jesus sums it up and we are going to expand it back out partly due to the lack of difinitive definition of LOVE.
What you mean by love God or love others…it is lived out and definied diffferently by different people.
Love is love
Our love for the Browns is different than our love for our spouse or best friend or children
What we are going to do over the next several weeks is walk through the ten words....some weeks we will cover a couple some weeks a word,....the reason we are doing this is to inherit the land.
We want to know the principles, and procedures and ways to inherit the land.
The first two WORDS what does God say? For us to inherit the land
And God spoke all these words, saying,
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
“You shall have no other gods before me.
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,
but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
What does first start off with?
Look what I have done
I have brought you out of the land of Egypt
I redeemed you
God says to us the same thing
First off before we talk about how to inherit the land and live in the ways of the kingdom of God
Let’s remember what I have done for you
I redeemed you from slavary of sin and death and shame.

It is not like we have the same problem, right?

JEALOUS GOD…stumbling point…this might clear it up…we are God’s children
II have two kids and I think I am pretty good dad, not perfect, but I believe pretty good.
Now if my kids decided to want another dad to be their dad and not for me to be their dad I would be jealous.
This is what God is saying to us...
GOD IS SAYING TO INHERIT THE LAND THE FIRST AND VERSE FIRST TWO THINGS YOU NEED TO DO IS…KEEP GOD NUMBER #1
How do we keep God #1? Protect ourselves from idols
LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, SOUL, MIND STRENGTH (FEET)
TIME: What is one of the ways kids spell love? TIME....THIS IS WRITTEN IN THE LUKE ACCOUNT
Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house.
And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching.
But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.”
But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,
We don’t leave being people who sit at the feet of Jesus to inherit the land....people have done this.
FOLLOW GOD’S COMMANDMENTS
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
TREASURES: YOUR MONEY
Do you give back to God?
Does God get at least 10% back from what he gave you
Beware lest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’
You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal,
but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
GOD DOESN’T NEED YOUR MONEY
Where you treasure is there is your heart
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
