Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on thee: Because he trusteth in thee.

Introductions

As we start this morning I would like to help us get to know each other a little bit. So, I have a couple questions: and to answer them just rise your hand.
Do you live with both of my biological parents?
Do you go to church regularly?
Do your parents go to church regularly?
Do you have a good understanding of the Bible stories?
Good, Thanks for answering. I do appreciate getting to know you a little. I hope to get to know you some more as we go along and you get to know me as well.
I am going to tell you a little bit about me as well. But before I do I have another question; but this time I don’t want you to answer the question. I just want you to think about it.
Do you, have you ever felt alone? Are there times that you feel no one notices you? May I say it this way. Do you feel or have you ever felt, that no one see you?
My Name is Travis I am a Youth Pastor for Hillside Baptist Church. I worked as a Janitor for a while at Willard Schools. (please don’t hold Willard against me). I worked at all different grades from High school, Middle School, and elementary.
To answer the same questions you all did. I did not grow with both of my biological parents in fact my mom has now been divorced twice. My parents for most of my life were on drugs even. I have 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Both of my older brothers have been in prison, one just got out and the other is still there. I have one sister who died at the age of 39 pretty much from medical complications from her own drug use.
I went to church the first time around the age of 10. The church bus brought me and for the first time I understood what God’s love was.
Now, as you may have caught on. I was the middle child in my house. How many here are the middle child's? Maybe we need to change the way we say that. To be called the “center child”. Because we long to be the center of the attention.
I had older siblings who had been in trouble a lot so my parents had to deal with there problems. Younger siblings who were prefect! my baby sister was the golden child! How many babies in the room?
As I grew into my teen years this thought hunted me. Does anyone see me? Does anyone actually care about Travis?!? Do you even see me?
