The Jascon 4 was helping to stabilize an oil tanker as it refueled at a Chevron platform 20 miles offshore in the Atlantic, when it capsized and eventually rested upside down on the ocean floor in 100 feet of water.
Sixty hours later a team of divers began retrieving the bodies of the 12 crewmen aboard. They descended into the cold, dark depths with their special deepwater gear and huge spotlights. One by one they recovered 10 of the 12 lifeless bodies and brought them to the surface.
A recovery worker noticed a hand and reached for it. This hand grabed back! The diver yells into his microphone, "He's alive, he's alive!" and there in a dissipating air pocket, on the upside-down Jascon 4, 100 feet deep in the Atlantic, sits Harrison Okene. At just the right time, the rescuer brought Okene—who was as good as dead—back to life. --Jim L. Wilson and Jason D. Helmbacher
Ephesians 2:1-2 (NASB77) “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, (2) in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.”
