2 Peter 3:14-18

Central Truth: Divine Perspectives Define MY Joyful Expectation!

Peter’s Purpose:

To ‘Stir Up’ > 2 Peter 1:12-15 and 3:1-2

To see believers Grow in Grace and Knowledge of God! > 2 Peter 1:2 and 3:18

Can I have More Grace? ‘Unmerited Favor’

Grace as Gospel: 1 Pet. 1:10, Rom. 3:23-24; 5:17, etc.

Grace as Enablement: 2 Cor. 12:8-9, 1 Pet. 1:6-7, 10

Grace and Knowledge as Goodness that Effectuates Joy:

Phil. 4:4-5, 2 Cor. 4:15, 1 Pet. 1:13, 4:10, 5:5 (cf. 1 Pet. 2:19-20) John 1:16 – Grace upon Grace

I grow in Grace as I Live Out Truth!

-Be Diligent: Found by Him in Purity- Vv. 14

-Be Determine: Counting Patience Salvation! Vv. 15

Am I purposeful in this time of gracious patience?
