Our God, Yahweh, the God(Elohim) of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had a plan to fulfill His promise all along. This was true in the times of the book of Exodus, and it’s true now, for us. The same way He chose Moses from birth and as we will see this week, calls him to be an ambassador to His people, He sent Jesus for the express purpose of reunifying Himself to His people. No event from creation to today has taken the Lord by surprise, but this whole time, He has been working out His plan for His people. The same way that God had a plan to destroy the enemy of Israel to free His people

God uses something peculiar to draw Moses’ attention before revealing himself(Don’t miss God calling you)

God(Through Moses) is making sure that we don’t miss the fact that this is not a new story, but a continuation of the one started all the way back in Genesis with Abraham. This is not a new remnant, but the same one. This is not a new covenant, but another step toward accomplishing what was promised in that covenant.

Yahweh sees you, He hears your suffering, and He is concerned. His plan has always been to rescue you. Moses had no part in Israel and was no longer in Egypt. A great reminder that God is always at work behind the scenes.
Moses had this desire to help the people of Israel since he was very young, but failed to rescue them from their bondage with his feeble attempt.
Can you imagine Roland going to Miguel Diaz-Canel, president of the Cuba and telling his that he needs to take his people back to the US to worship God?
The phrase, “Who am I” is used two other times in the OT and it is used as a polite acceptance of an honor

God has a plan to deliver His people and keep the covenant that He made with Abraham
God doesn’t just have a plan for the future, He knows the future, for He is not bound by it.
When you’re wondering why you are being oppressed and afflicted, remember that not only did God include Pharaoh’s hardness of heart in His plan, but He knew it would happen. Your suffering is not missed by Yahweh. Not only is it not missed, but He is not surprised by it. His plan is complete and it is perfect.

For everyone in this room who can claim Jesus as their Lord and Savior, you can rest in the promises that the Lord has made to His people. For those of you who see that Yahweh, the God of Israel, is faithful, steadfast, trustworthy, but you have questions that are keeping you from putting all of your trust and faith in Him, don’t leave here today without following up with someone here.
