A Disciple is a learner. One who has received salvation by faith, and is now a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Shares Christ When Given Opportunity

A disciple ministers to others as Jesus ministered.
A disciple walks by faith in the Lord Jesus to led and meet their needs.
Have you ever taken a mission trip, or been engaged in the Lord’s work? You will find that your faith is deepened as you take the opportunities God places in front of you to share Christ and meet the needs of others.

Surrenders to Christ Completely

First there is confession of Christ! This is evidence of salvation: Romans 10:9–10 “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
Second, comes the cross of discipleship. It is a surrender of our life to the Lord for His glory! We become a channel for Him to use.
Our world is all about self-advancement, but the Christian life is about self-sacrifice. It is about walking with the Lord and learning His character and nature. He laid down his life for us, now we are called to lay down our lives for His glory. Warren Wiersbe said:
The Bible Exposition Commentary Chapter Eight: A Many-Sided Ministry (Luke 9)

This means to be identified with Him in surrender, suffering, and sacrifice. You cannot crucify yourself; you can only yield your body (Rom. 12:1–2) and let God do the rest.

C.T. Studd-
Two little lines I heard one day, Traveling along life’s busy way; Bringing conviction to my heart, And from my mind would not depart; Only one life, twill soon be past,Only what’s done for Christ will last. Only one life, yes only one, Soon will its fleeting hours be done; Then, in ‘that day’ my Lord to meet, And stand before His Judgement seat; Only one life,’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.
Give me Father, a purpose deep, In joy or sorrow Thy word to keep; Faithful and true what e’er the strife, Pleasing Thee in my daily life; Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.
Oh let my love with fervor burn, And from the world now let me turn; Living for Thee, and Thee alone, Bringing Thee pleasure on Thy throne; Only one life, “twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.
Only one life, yes only one, Now let me say,”Thy will be done”; And when at last I’ll hear the call, I know I’ll say “twas worth it all”; Only one life,’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last. ”

Listens to Christ Supremely

A disciple recognizes that Christ is preeminent over all! He is supreme!
Colossians 1:15–18 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.”
There are many teachers, but only the Lord Jesus reigns supreme! The Law and the Prophets all point to Him. All of history is written for His glory! Listen to the Lord Jesus Christ!
