Jehovah Jireh means I have peace

There is a challenge when it comes to faith- BECAUSE FAITH REQUIRES ACTIONS
James 1:25 (CSB)
But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer who worksthis person will be blessed in what he does.
WHEN NOAH HEARD THE WORD OF GOD HE HAD TO RESPOND AND DO THE WORD OF GOD
WHEN ABRAHAM RECEIVED THE WORD OF GOD, HE HAD TO RESPOND TO IT
HE HAD TO TRUST INTHE LORD- THE FIRST STEP IN FAITH, FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER STEP IN FAITH
Being doers of the word in the Believe in Faith even when its hard, knowing that God loves you, God is for you, and God is going to work the matter out for your God and for His glory!
God hasn’t changed! God does not Change!
Malachi 3:6 CSB
“Because I, the Lord, have not changed, you descendants of Jacob have not been destroyed.
God upholds His word- Here in Malachi God reminds us that because He hasn’t changed, His promises haven’t changed, He hasn’t changed His mind- ISRAEL IS STILL A NATION!
When God speaks He doesn’t take it back
Psalm 138:2 ESV
I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.

The Issue of Worry and Trust

Matthew 6:25 CSB
“Therefore I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?
to worry comes the Greek “merimnao” and it means “to be anxious about, to have a distracting care”-
It means to be overwhelmed with worry because of the possibility of misfortune or danger that could overtake your life
Many People live this way- “What if something bad happens?”
Or the opposite too- they give their lives to accumulate as much as they can, and at the end of their lives they simply hand it over to the next in line, AND THE GOVERNMENT IS INCLUDED IN THAT!
For these people the motivating factor could be greed, could be fear, Could be looking for meaning and purpose in life-
Yet both motives lead to the same destination.
And both stem from the question “Can I actually trust God?”
Proverbs 3:5–6 CSB
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.
Jesus tells people who are under the oppression of the Roman Empire
“Don’t worry” While for most of they they have only known to worry for provision. “How are we going to make it?”

When Jesus steps into the Story things change!

Jesus tells the people “You matter to God!”
Matthew 6:26 (CSB)
Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?
God takes care of the birds and the grass, and God cares more for you!

What do you do with worry?

It is a real thing that creeps in. GOD DOESN’T TELL US TO INGORE IT.
-HE TELLS US TO CAST
1 Peter 5:6–7 CSB
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your cares on him, because he cares about you.
Now how do we cast our cares upon God
Philippians 4:6–7 CSB
Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Through prayer and petition, and with thanksgiving present your requests to God
When this world gets to much for me, I turn to the God who is for me
Jeremiah 29:11 CSB
For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
If i Can trust that God has plans for my well being, and not for disaster, but to give me a hope and a future then I can turn to Him, and Trust Him knowing that He will work it out for my Good and For His Glory!

God cares for you

WE ned to get out of the mindset where we treat God like any other person in our lives:
People fail us
People betray us
People Give up on us
People Don’t keep their words
When we mess up people leave us
BUT GOD NEVER LEAVES, ALWAYS LOVES, ALWAYS
Psalm 139:7–12 CSB
Where can I go to escape your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there. If I live at the eastern horizon or settle at the western limits, even there your hand will lead me; your right hand will hold on to me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me, and the light around me will be night”— even the darkness is not dark to you. The night shines like the day; darkness and light are alike to you.
The love that God had for you when He sent Jesus is the Same love He has for us today!
It hasn’t changed, God still loves you with an everlasting love:
Romans 8:32 CSB
He did not even spare his own Son but gave him up for us all. How will he not also with him grant us everything?

Jesus Ties Worry to Faith

Matthew 6:27–30 (CSB)
Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying? And why do you worry about clothes? Observe how the wildflowers of the field grow: They don’t labor or spin thread. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these. If that’s how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won’t he do much more for you—you of little faith?
Faith is the keep to living a life that is not consumed by worry!
Hebrews 11:6 CSB
Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
IF God exists and He is the god who reveals Himself through His word, and He says He is for me, What am I worrying about?
MY life isn’t consumed by worrying because I a doer of the Word and a doer of the Word cast their cares on God, and experience the blessing, the favor of the Lord upon their lives!
James 1:6–8 CSB
But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord, being double-minded and unstable in all his ways.
Don’t worry, God is Good!
Hebrews 11:1 CSB
Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.
FAITH IS THE REALITY BY WHICH WE LIVE-
IT TAKES HOLD OF THE PROMISES OF GOD AND LIVES ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD
Matthew 6:31–34 CSB
So don’t worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Faith is seeking God, He is a rewarder:
