A disciple is a follower of Jesus. From last week, they are surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ and listen to Him above all else.

They were sent ahead of the Lord. The King is Coming!
The Harvest is Great, but we need laborers.

The field is ripe!!! John 4:35–38 “Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest. Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together. For here the saying holds true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.””

“As sheep in the midst of wolves” We are bringing a message of God’s peace to a world that is at war with Him.

It is easy to get sidetracked from God’s purposes for our lives. Don’t forget what is truly important. When you go out to share the message of peace, but intentional about sharing it.

“The Kingdom of God has come near!”
What is it that Christ came to do? Luke 4:18–19 ““The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.””
He came to bring salvation to the lost.
He came to deliver from Satan’s power. Satan has people under a lie, and in bondage to sin.

Jesus said that he saw Satan fall from heaven. The disciples were excited that the demons had to flee at the name of Christ
Know that you are on the Winning Team!
When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.

Rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
It is only through Jesus that we can know the Father!

Believers: Are you involved in God’s mission as a disciple? Do you recognize the mission field, pray for laborers and spread the message of the king?
