When 12-year-old Cade Pope of Yukon, Oklahoma wanted to find a favorite NFL team, he decided the best way to choose one would be to write them, all 32 NFL teams. He spent three weeks writing letter to the owner of every team asking them for guidance on which team he should make ‘his team.’ He explained that he didn’t live in state with a team and was finding it hard to decide otherwise. Cade hoped to hear from several teams, but only one took the time to respond, and the decision was easy. Cade received a package with a replica Carolina Panthers helmet signed by linebacker Luke Kuechly and a handwritten note from Jerry Richardson, the team’s owner and founder. Richardson said the team would be honored if the Panther’s became Cade’s favorite team, and promised to make him proud by the classy way they would represent him. Since the Panthers take fan mail seriously, Cade says is likely to become an all-star fan. He added, ‘If this is the only team that responds to me, I’m a Carolina Panthers fan.’
