Doubt in the Storm
In the road to knowing the one true God there are spaces of contention and how we respond matters.
It is not just about passing the test… in these spaces we are shaken down to the core. It is here that the greatest growth will occur.
The thing is you heard the call you recieved that private anointing but now everything you believed would happen now seems like a distant wish more than it does an actual call.
In the middle of the storm how do you respond?… Is it not to lean on the Lord? or is it to run away?

On the road to knowing God in greater ways you must commit to the process

Genesis 22:15–18 ESV
And the angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time from heaven and said, “By myself I have sworn, declares the Lord, because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of his enemies, and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.”
After the encounter in the offering of Issac the Lord speaks
“By myself I have sworn, declares the Lord”
Adversity
Trials
shakings
Tribulations
All of these things had occurred and even so Abraham proceeded to remain faithful to the Lord
Because you have obeyed my voice…
it is not the doubt that will end your call
its is not the questioning that will end your call
the only way you deny yourself from seeing the True God is if you yourself give up the call… you yourself surrender the anointing…
You choose to disobey
not that you are not struggling to overcome sin
not that you fell again
simply you saw your calling and decided… you know what… It is not worth it.
In this moment disobedience to the command of the Lord has set in and you can no longer walk in that path.

The Deep Shaking

Genesis 12:10 ESV
Now there was a famine in the land. So Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there, for the famine was severe in the land.
There was a famine; a deep suffering
these deep shaking will cause you to wonder where
where is God
Did God really say
These are the sufferings that are so illogical… they just do not make sense
Abram had already said yes Lord, and erected an altar
The suffering is in the promise
Instead of turning to God he turns to the table of Nations
Egypt symbolic of the world
Sojourns-be an alien dependent in the land…to dwell as an alien dependent
The shaking was to the core
if today you are being shaken to your core do not turn to sojourn in a foreign land stay with the Lord His promise is true… He is the only God that is real

Mistakes in the Doubt

Genesis 12:11–13 ESV
When he was about to enter Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, “I know that you are a woman beautiful in appearance, and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me, but they will let you live. Say you are my sister, that it may go well with me because of you, and that my life may be spared for your sake.”
The thing is when you’re about to renew your contract with the world you know it is wrong… you know it is going to cost you something… the thing is it doesn’t matter you’re tired of suffering
This is where the mistake occurs… to live in the world you will have to lie to yourself and those around you… “deny your calling”
Abrams effort also led the family into the bring of destruction…
This 100% of the time will be the case when we take our eyes off of the Lord… and we try in our human efforts to “make it happen”

Protected not Taken from the Trial

When God has promised there is only one way out… you no longer want the promise
You are going to make mistakes, you are going to struggle, you may even make a blunder but watch what God does
Genesis 12:17–20 ESV
But the Lord afflicted Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram’s wife. So Pharaoh called Abram and said, “What is this you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife? Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her for my wife? Now then, here is your wife; take her, and go.” And Pharaoh gave men orders concerning him, and they sent him away with his wife and all that he had.
There is a sifting process, there is a shaking, a crushing, a deep suffering “yes, even in the Kingdom”
Your mistakes do not exclude you from the promise… that only happens when you surrender the call
I know of a person who once said “I know what I am called for… but the enemy said if I step in I will destroy your family…”
The Lord afflicted Pharaoh… and his house…
This happens so that your faith would be strengthen… so you would have an encounter with the one True God
Abram would go on to have many more encounters with encounters with the Lord… moments of doubt, moments of shaking, moments where things are just not going his way
Never the less the moments even when he took things into his own hands he never gave up on the call on his life
As he approaches the end look at his posture there is nothing he will not give the Lord.
Altar Call
Give Him that space… Lord whatever you ask, whenever you ask, however you ask there is nothing I will deny
I no longer want to do it my way… I no longer what to do it in my own strength… Lord have your way.
I no longer want a shadow or a passing glimpse of you I want all of you.
