1 John 5:7 KJV 1900
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
We are talking about Jesus Christ and him being the Son of God and our redeemer. there are three that bear record meaning: three that give evidence to and testify of the truth and validity of the person and purpose of Christ.
When this scripture refers to “the Word” it is referring to in definition the “Logos” of God
logos, (Greek: “word,” “reason,” or “plan”)
In short, Logos is the plan or intent of God:
In that: When a person wants to accomplish something he most generally creates a plan. the plan represents a desire or intent to what is involved in the accomplishment of a particular plan.
It is literally what that person is planning to do in future events and how that plan will be fulfilled.
Background
Ancient Greek: λόγος, romanized: lógos, lit. 'word, discourse, or reason' is related to Ancient Greek: λέγω, romanized: légō, lit. 'I say' which is cognate with Latin: lex, lit. 'law'. The word derives from a Proto-Indo-European root, *leǵ-, which can have the meanings "I put in order, arrange, gather, choose, count, reckon, discern, say, speak".
So while the word “Logos” carries several meanings depending on context...its meanings include in the divine sense.
Meanings of Logos
To put in order
To arrange
To say or speak
This includes:
word
thought
intent
plan
message

The Divinity of Jesus Christ

The actual definition of “trinity” is the belief in three distinct separate persons.
Person means:
archaic : bodily appearance
the body of a human being also : the body and clothing
We know that through this, there was only one physical person or earthly representation of God and that was the flesh of Jesus Christ.
John 3:6 KJV 1900
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
We see that there are several words that describe Logos
We know, through scripture, that Jesus Christ was not in the beginning with God as a second person of a triune God-Head
The bible clearly states that there is only one God:
Isaiah 44:8 KJV 1900
Fear ye not, neither be afraid: Have not I told thee from that time, And have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? Yea, there is no God; I know not any.
As you read this, you may think in your mind…there is only one God, but there is a son of God beside him, that's why it can be said like that....
We must have the understanding that Jesus Christ was both a human in the flesh…a created being as well as the representation of the invisible God and the power thereof
He was the power of God in that the flesh of God became the atoning sacrifice that was needed to free mankind from the penalty of sin which was spiritual and eternal death.
The only separation of Jesus Christ and God is the flesh of Christ.
Eternally and spiritually they are one.
We must consider that the word of God states that Jesus is the Messiah and our Savior.
but as we read, we see that the word of God doesn’t stop there…It goes on with more specificity.
Hosea 13:4 KJV 1900
Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, And thou shalt know no god but me: For there is no saviour beside me.
This can be interpreted as there is no other Savior other than me or except for me!
Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Thesaurus (besides)
synonyms Except, aside from, beside, outside of, save
The word of God also says:
Colossians 1:14–16 KJV 1900
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
The only way possible that this could be reconciled or be true is if God was both the almighty and Savior at the same time.
Let’s read what Isaiah says about this.
Isaiah 9:6 KJV 1900
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: And the government shall be upon his shoulder: And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
These scriptures point out to us that Jesus Christ was not with the Father in a bodily form, nor as a spirit body, but as a thought or plan in the mind of God.
Let’s look at what logos mean in writing? In writing, appeals to logos involve making a claim and supporting the claim with relevant evidence and sound reasoning that connects the evidence to the claim. For example, if a writer claims that "wearing sunscreen helps prevent premature aging," an appeal to logos would support this claim by citing evidence and explaining the relevance of the evidence to the claim.
Jesus Christ was indeed the evidence of the plan that God had set forth from the very beginning.
so in the beginning the plan, intent and message of God was pre-established to happen in future events for the intended purpose of the redemption of mankind...for the restoration of the relationship of man to God...
When Jesus Christ was born and through his death, burial and resurrection, he was the evidence of the prophetic word of God in fulfillment of his plan...this would make him indeed the Logos or the fulfillment of Gods plan and intent
The book of John points out the relationship between God and Jesus very clearly:
John 14:6–7 KJV 1900
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
In this very statement…Jesus is saying that he is both Savior as well as the Almighty God.
John 1:1 KJV 1900
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
This scripture is simply stating that in the beginning (from the very start) that there was only God and the word..... and that the word that was in the beginning was God (the thought, plan or intent of God)
Now that we have established that the word from the beginning was and is God…let’s take a look further on in John
John 1:14 KJV 1900
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
This let’s us know definitively that the plan of God was fulfilled when he created a flesh that would be our atonement
The Gospel of John identifies the Christian Logos, through which all things are made, as divine (theos),[12] and further identifies Jesus Christ as the incarnate Logos
Despite the conventional translation as "word", logos is not used for a word in the grammatical sense—for that, the term lexis (λέξις, léxis) was used.[14] However, both logos and lexis derive from the same verb légō (λέγω), meaning "(I) count, tell, say, speak".

The Only Separation

we understand that there is only one separation between God and Jesus....
1 Timothy 2:5 KJV 1900
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
We must understand that in order for there to be a son of God, something would have to be created.....
If not for this...then how would God have a son in the first place?
God is not like humanity in that we procreate through physical contact with the opposite sex....
God created us in this manner to be able to bring forth children...
In the spiritual realm...if God is to procreate it must be through the spoken word.
everything in the heavenly realm, aside from God, was created in this manner.
Again, in the spiritual realm, as far as we know, there is no designation between male and female.
Our whole existence (humanity, the world we live in and all of the solar systems) was created through the spoken word of God.
In the first chapter of The Gospel According to John, Jesus Christ is identified as “the Word” (Greek logos) incarnated, or made flesh. This identification of Jesus with the logos is based on Old Testament (Hebrew Bible) concepts of revelation, such as occurs in the frequently used phrase “the Word of the Lord”—which connoted ideas of God’s activity and power
The designation of Jesus Christ does not imply that Jesus Christ was in the beginning as a second person of the God-Head....
We know this because the bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the only begotten of the Father which denotes a created being or flesh.
We know that the word of God is totally inseparable from God himself in the spiritual sense.
The only way a separation could occur is if the spirit created a flesh to become our propitiation.
In other words, in order for there to be atonement....there had to be a sacrifice (or a lamb) created by God that could be acceptable and perfect.
This follows exactly the old testament law of sin sacrifice:
Matthew 5:17 KJV 1900
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
The logos of God was both the plan and intent in the mind of God and, in the face of Jesus Christ, the divine manifestation of the invisible God here on earth.
The atonement and the grace of God for the sins and transgressions of mankind.
Acts 2:36 KJV 1900
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
both the almighty, the great “I Am” and CHRIST—anointed, the Greek translation of the Hebrew word rendered “Messiah”
