Jerry Coyne, author of Why Evolution Is True, made a startling admission in a 2006 review of several evolution-promoting books. He acknowledged that belief in evolution “hasn’t yielded many practical or commercial benefits.”
Janie B. Cheaney cites that admission and then states, “Nobody ever explains precisely how a belief in evolution benefits humanity.” Yet for 100 years “science-based solutions are touted as the way to solve the problems of education, healthcare, crime, and war.”
There is something more to humanity and society than scientific method can discover. Human consciousness and spirituality evade scientific explanation. Only understanding human as made in the image of God makes any sense of those mysteries. —Jim L. Wilson and Rodger Russell.
