1 Peter 2:24 CSB
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
Top be Healed is to be made whole- There is a sense of lacking when it comes to healing-
Peter shows the correlation between sin and sickness
But Jesus came so that we might be whole
Any issue that sin caused is broken over our lives because “His body was broken”
39 types of Diseases listed in the bible from blood diseases to skin diseases- Heart diseases to tumors- and Jesus took a stripe for each one!
Exodus 15:26 CSB
He said, “If you will carefully obey the Lord your God, do what is right in his sight, pay attention to his commands, and keep all his statutes, I will not inflict any illnesses on you that I inflicted on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”
Spiritual well being and physical well being flow together-

Sin is the major hinderance to healing.

The Bible Says

Healing and Faith:

Matthew 8:1–4 CSB
When he came down from the mountain, large crowds followed him. Right away a man with leprosy came up and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Reaching out his hand, Jesus touched him, saying, “I am willing; be made clean.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Then Jesus told him, “See that you don’t tell anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
Everything we have been given is by God’s grace-
Everything we have been given by God is accessed by our Faith-
This man came to Jesus- He had faith to go.
“IF YOU AER WILLING, YOUN CAN MAKE ME CLEAN.”- There was no doubt that Jesus could make him well-
“IF YOU ARE WILLING”- THIS IS HIS STATEMENT OF FAITH- ITS NOT A MATTER THE ABILITY ITS A MATTER OF THW WILL OF GOD
Most dont doubt that God heals, the great doubt is “will God heal me?”
GOD CAN AND WILL HEAL OTHERS BUT IS IT HIS WILL TO HEAL ME?
This man had lived a life of let down, being excommunicate from society because He was unclean, he would even be allowed into the temple to worship God and Make sacrifice!
Leprosy at that time was like AIDS today, it was terrifying disease because there was no known cure
The man bows before Jesus- He knows the authority of who’s presence He is standing in-
This is important when we come to Jesus- He humbles himself
Yet here is Jesus, “If you are willing, you can set me free from this
“You can make me clean”:

Referring to ritual or ceremonial cleanness, the man asks Jesus to free him from leprosy.

Faith and Confession:

Our confession must not override the word of God
STOP SPEAKING “THIS RUNS IN MY FAMILY”
THAT MAY BE PHYSICALLY TRUE BUT SPIRITUALLY YOU ARE UNDER A BETTER COVENANT, WHICH INCLUDES DIVINE HEALING IN IT!
Matthew 8:17 CSB
so that what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: He himself took our weaknesses and carried our diseases.
Isaiah 53:5 CSB
But he was pierced because of our rebellion, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on him, and we are healed by his wounds.
THOSE 39 LASHES HE TOOK WERE FOR MY HEAING
WHAT WE CONFESS MATTER BECAUSE IT REVEALS WHAT IS IN OUR HEART
Matthew 12:34 (CSB)
Brood of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.
Proverbs 4:23 CSB
Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life.
Our confession cannot be greater then our covenant!
Matthew 8:5–13 CSB
When he entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, pleading with him, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, in terrible agony.” He said to him, “Am I to come and heal him?” “Lord,” the centurion replied, “I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I too am a man under authority, having soldiers under my command. I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” Hearing this, Jesus was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with so great a faith. I tell you that many will come from east and west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Then Jesus told the centurion, “Go. As you have believed, let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that very moment.
Jesus is greater- This is the confession of Faith
the Centurion knew the authority that Jesus had over sickness and disease, and His faith was what God the response of God
Matthew 8:10 CSB
Hearing this, Jesus was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with so great a faith.
Matthew 8:13 CSB
Then Jesus told the centurion, “Go. As you have believed, let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that very moment.
It God’s grace, received through faith
Mark 6:5–6 CSB
He was not able to do a miracle there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them. And he was amazed at their unbelief. He was going around the villages teaching.
The opposite of the centurion

Is it God will to heal?

Hebrews 1:1–2 CSB
Long ago God spoke to our ancestors by the prophets at different times and in different ways. In these last days, he has spoken to us by his Son. God has appointed him heir of all things and made the universe through him.
Jesus is the greater revelation of the will of God. Jesus went about doing the will of God
John 5:19 CSB
Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, the Son is not able to do anything on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son likewise does these things.
If God’s desire was for sickness and suffering then Jesus was the most disobedient son ever
Jesus came to do the will of the Father
fulling scripture Matthew 8:17
Matthew 8:17 CSB
so that what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: He himself took our weaknesses and carried our diseases.

There must be Hunger!

Mark 10:46–52 CSB
They came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a large crowd, Bartimaeus (the son of Timaeus), a blind beggar, was sitting by the road. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many warned him to keep quiet, but he was crying out all the more, “Have mercy on me, Son of David!” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man and said to him, “Have courage! Get up; he’s calling for you.” He threw off his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus. Then Jesus answered him, “What do you want me to do for you?” Rabboni,” the blind man said to him, “I want to see.” Jesus said to him, “Go, your faith has saved you.” Immediately he could see and began to follow Jesus on the road.
We need to Hunger and thirst for the touch of God!

That means getting to where God is and have moving the hand of Jesus by our faith!

Psalm 63:1 CSB
God, you are my God; I eagerly seek you. I thirst for you; my body faints for you in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.
The cry of someone who is desperate, “YOU ARE MY ONLY HOPE,A NDI BELIEVE YOU CAN HEAL, AND I BELIEVE YOU CAN HEAL ME!”

YOU CAN BE SELFISH WHEN IT COMES TO GETTING A TOUCH FROM GOD!

Jesus never rebuked anyone that came to Him for a touch and didn’t think of first…
He responded to their faith, “Your Faith has saved you!”
