Hebrews 11:6 CSB
Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Faith Pleases God- Our faith gratifies God
WHY?- Because it responds to who He is , by drawing near to Him
Faith is actions is a response to the character and the word of God, and this bring pleases God, and it brings us closer to Him
Almost Every instance have healing Recorded in the Gospel required things:
They had to believe
They had to come to Jesus
You must believe, and draw near to receive
Hebrews 4:14–16 CSB
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens—Jesus the Son of God—let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin. Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.
Let us hold to our confession:
God Heals
God Saves
God delivers
ALL THROUGH JESUS
HE HAS SET US FREE AND RESTORE THE COVENANT RIGHTS TO US
We don’t retreat back, we draw near to God, because we believe who He is according to His word, and then we receive what He has for us!
If you need a touch and you came here for a touch GOOD-NEWS YOU ARE DEMONSTRATING THE FAITH NEEDED TO RECEIVE FROM GOD

A Hunger to Receive

this hunger drives us to God in our times of need- We want what only He can give
Psalm 63:1 CSB
God, you are my God; I eagerly seek you. I thirst for you; my body faints for you in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.
This hunger is seen all throughout the gospels and in the minister of Jesus
Mark 10:46–52 CSB
They came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a large crowd, Bartimaeus (the son of Timaeus), a blind beggar, was sitting by the road. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many warned him to keep quiet, but he was crying out all the more, “Have mercy on me, Son of David!” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man and said to him, “Have courage! Get up; he’s calling for you.” He threw off his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus. Then Jesus answered him, “What do you want me to do for you?” Rabboni,” the blind man said to him, “I want to see.” Jesus said to him, “Go, your faith has saved you.” Immediately he could see and began to follow Jesus on the road.
Even when Everyone told Him to stop, He wouldn't until He got a touch from God.
Its the cry “I AM HUNGERING FOR YOU, BECAUSE RIGHT NOW I AMNOT SATISFIED. ONLY YOU SATISFY.”

JESUS HAS AUTHORITY TO REMOVE SIN, AND THE EFFECTS OF SIN

Matthew 9:1–7 CSB
So he got into a boat, crossed over, and came to his own town. Just then some men brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic, “Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven.” At this, some of the scribes said to themselves, “He’s blaspheming!” Perceiving their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why are you thinking evil things in your hearts? For which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—then he told the paralytic, “Get up, take your stretcher, and go home.” So he got up and went home.
What was it that Jesus saw- Faith- the assurance they had
What was their faith in?
IT WAS IN JESUS
Faith takes God at His word
in prayer
in giving
in living
in sickness

WHAT IS HARDER?

Matthew 9:5 CSB
For which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?
Te easier of the two is the reason why the men came, and that was the healing-
We think healing is hard- Not the scribes and the Pharisees
“WHO CAN FORGIVE SINS BUT GOD!?”-
WHAT YOU JUST DID JESUS IS NOT ONLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR MAN IT IS BLASPHEMOUS!
WE HAVE BACKWARDS THESE DAYS- MAYBE IT IS BECAUSE WE DON’T TRULY UNDERSTAND THE WEIGHT OF SIN
- THE COST TO REMOVE THE SINS OF MAN WAS JUST SPEAKING, IT WAS LAYING DOWN ONES LIFE

JESUS NOT ONLY CAN REMOVES THE EFFECTS OF SIN FROM YOUR LIFE, HE CAN REMOVE SIN ALL TOGETHER-

Matthew 9:6 CSB
But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—then he told the paralytic, “Get up, take your stretcher, and go home.”

Jesus calls the sinner: Salvation Faith!

The calling of Matthew the Tax collector- he called Him from sin to be a disciple
WHY?
Matthew 9:12–13 CSB
Now when he heard this, he said, “It is not those who are well who need a doctor, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
PAUL WOULD SAYS
Romans 7:24 CSB
What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
BUT THANKS BE TO GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD!
Christ came and redeemed us from the curse!
Now there is access to the promise
not sacrifice but mercy

Healing Faith:

Matthew 9:18–22 CSB
As he was telling them these things, suddenly one of the leaders came and knelt down before him, saying, “My daughter just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.” So Jesus and his disciples got up and followed him. Just then, a woman who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years approached from behind and touched the end of his robe, for she said to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I’ll be made well.” Jesus turned and saw her. “Have courage, daughter,” he said. “Your faith has saved you.” And the woman was made well from that moment.
“Let us hold to our Confession”- Jesus is healer!
that is my confession-

Confession - acknowledgment of the truth

Matthew 9:21 CSB
for she said to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I’ll be made well.”

Remove the attacks on faith:

Matthew 9:23–26 CSB
When Jesus came to the leader’s house, he saw the flute players and a crowd lamenting loudly. “Leave,” he said, “because the girl is not dead but asleep.” And they laughed at him. After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl got up. Then news of this spread throughout that whole area.
THESE PEOPLE HAD NO FAITH!
THIS LACK OF FAITH ATTACKED THE LEADERS FAITH, AND THE MOVED OF GOD
JESUS’ RESPOONSE-
KICKED THEM OUT- HOLD TO YOUR CONFESSION!

JESUS’ QUESTION

Matthew 9:27–30 CSB
As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” When he entered the house, the blind men approached him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I can do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes, saying, “Let it be done for you according to your faith.” And their eyes were opened. Then Jesus warned them sternly, “Be sure that no one finds out.”
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT I AM ABLE TO DO THIS?
THIS IS THE GREAT QUESTION OF FAITH IN OUR LIVES
DO YOU BELIEVE?
this is also the place of greatest attack in the our lives, the enemy comes and attacks
Who God is- the character of God
Is god truly good?
Our confession “God is always good”
God doesn’t move like that anymore
“God is the same yesterday, today and forever”
God won’t move like that for you
2 Chronicles 16:9 (CSB)
For the eyes of the Lord roam throughout the earth to show himself strong for those who are wholeheartedly devoted to him. You have been foolish in this matter. Therefore, you will have wars from now on.”
The confession of faith:
Romans 10:8 CSB
On the contrary, what does it say? The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the message of faith that we proclaim:
