Ideal vs. Lived Experience

The Bible presents God’s best for us - the ideal marriage.

Our lived experience, however, does not always match the ideal.

While we may not have experienced the ideal, we should try and teach others to strive for God’s best.

Marriage is the institution God created to raise children in the healthiest environment.

Abraham did not want a local woman to be Isaac’s wife because of religion, not because of race.

The bride price gave a financial incentive for families to help couples stay married.
