June 30, 1948: The Postwar Period The first piece of legislation to lay down federal regulation of water quality, the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, is passed by Congress. This act, known as the FWPCA , will go through amendments in 1956, 1965, and 1972 to broaden the government’s authority in water pollution control.

October 30-31, 1948 In Donora, PA, 20 people die and over 600 go to the hospital after sulfur dioxide emissions from a nearby steel and wire plant descend in the form of smog, made worse by a temperature inversion that trapped the sulfuric poison in the valley of the town. The incident will lead to the first U.S. conference on air pollution in 1950, sponsored by the Public Health Service.

Conclusion- While we see environmental and governmental agencies involved with the perserving and manipulation of Gods creation is fulled by prophet not by the desire to cultivate the lad for the Good of the Apex of Gods creation Humans- THe world is driven by a strange fixation on the idea that people are a plague on the earth. This is driven by an ainty theistic view of creation!

Humans are a plague on the Earth that need to be controlled by limiting population growth, according to Sir David Attenborough. The television presenter said that humans are threatening their own existence and that of other species by using up the world's resources.
