The Expectation that Conquers Suffering
The Expectation that Conquers Suffering
Compared to the glory that is to come, the present suffering is not even worth mentioning.
2 Corinthians 4:17–18 “For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”
For the Christian, suffering in this present life not only is intended to produce in us maturity in the present, it is also adding to the eternal glory we will receive!
Even this present creation is groaning, waiting for its eternal redemption.
The Evaluation that Guarantees Victory
The Evaluation that Guarantees Victory
God’s purpose for you and me is good. His purpose is to glorify His Son by conforming us to Christ’s image.
Salvation from heaven’s perspective: He foreknew, predestined to be conformed, called into salvation, justified, and glorified. It’s as good as DONE! IT IS FINISHED!
In Christ:
No accusation can stand! God is for us and has justified us.
No condemnation is pronounced. Christ died and rose again! Interceeds for us.
No separation from His love can occur.
We are pronounced Victors even in trial! All because of the love of God in Christ Jesus!
