Order in the House!

Matthew 21:1–16 NKJV
Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me. And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.” All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: “Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.’ ” So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them. And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!” And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?” So the multitudes said, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.” Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ” Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?
1 Corinthians 14:33 NKJV
For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

Today is Palm Sunday

The day that Jesus entered Jerusalem prior to His crucifixion.

Jesus came to His Father’s House

Jesus cleansed the temple.
Jesus called the temple “My Father’s house”.
The temple represented the glory of God.
The temple was a place of ordained worship.
The temple was a house of prayer.
The people had transformed God’s house into something else.
Jesus came to bring judgment and restore God’s order.
1 Peter 4:17 NKJV
For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?
1 Corinthians 11:32 NKJV
But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

God is a God of Peace

1 Corinthians 14:33 NKJV
For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
The Greek word translated "confusion" is akatastasia that means, “instability, a state of disorder, disturbance, confusion.”
James 3:13–18 NKJV
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
Chaos is the manifestation of disorder.
Disorder is caused by disobedience.
Disobedience to God’s order in creation, marriage, family, government, church, society, and in our hearts.
Disorder is caused by worldly wisdom.
Worldly wisdom is earthly, sensual, demonic.
Peace is evidence of God’s kingdom order.
God’s peace rests upon His order.
Jesus came to order and establish God’s kingdom government.
Isaiah 9:6–7 NKJV
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Jesus is the Prince of Peace
Matthew 10:34 NKJV
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.
Jesus came to bring peace by confronting things that destroy peace.
The Hebrew word for “peace” is shalom.
“Shalom” finds its root meaning in warfare.
Jesus the Prince of Shalom brought a sword, i.e., the Word of God.
The four Hebrew letters that form the word “Shalom” ( שׂלום) means “to destroy (or consume) the authority that secures (establishes) chaos”.
Jesus came to confront and overthrow the powers of darkness that rule through disobedience, disorder, and chaos.
Jesus came to usher in God’s peace through establishing God’s order.

The Blessings of God’s Order

God’s house was restored as a house of purity.
God’s house was restored as a house of prayer.
God’s house was restored as a house of power.
God’s house was restored as a house of praise.

Response to the Word

Let Your kingdom order come in my heart.
Let Your kingdom order come in my home.
Let Your kingdom come in Your house, the church.
