We love Him because He first loved us
Jesus pain and anguish in the garden
Jesus said: Not My will but Yours
We need to say not my will but Yours
Love helps us to do this
Hebrews 12:1–2 NKJV
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Can I ask the team to hand out the communion please, shortly I will get you to stand than I will pray, then we will take the communion together.
Colossians 1:19–22 NKJV
19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. 21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—
Hebrews 12:1–2 NKJV
1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Once you have your communion can I get you to stand please?
As we prepare to take the communion I would like you to take some time to ponder on that scripture,
it was because of Christ love for us that He became the ultimate sacrifice and through His death
He now presents us holy and blameless and by His grace today we are saved.
BODY
Father we thank you that as we take the bread we are reminded that it represents the body of your son that was broken for us.
Let us eat the bread together.
BLOOD
Father as we take the cup we are reminded that it represents the blood of your son that was shed for the remission of our sins.
Let us drink the cup together.
