A little man may cast a long shadow.
Charles Spurgeon
It doesn’t depend on your size but your relation to the sun
When we preach Jesus Christ, oh! Then we are not putting out the plates, and the knives and the forks, for the feast, but we are handing out the bread itself.
Charles Spurgeon
What is important about bread? The first answer is that bread is necessary for life.
James Montgomery Boice

Here is something you cast and you get more in return

John 21:6 “And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.”
You don’t receive because you do not cast.
We are a partaker of resurrection life
you can’t out give God
If we give it away we still have plenty to give (fish and loaves Mt 14:17-21)
If you pray for bread and bring no basket to carry it, you prove the doubting spirit which may be the only hindrance to the gift you ask.
Dwight L. Moody

Here is something you cast and you have it no more

Therefore casting all your anxieties on him is the path to humility, freeing a person from constant concern for himself and enabling him or her truly to be concerned for the needs of others.
Wayne Grudem
Your circumstance may not change but you change.

Casting Crowns

Psalm 89:39 “You have renounced the covenant of Your servant; You have profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.”
Revelation 4:10 “the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:”

Here is an attitude of gratitude to the Most High God

1 Corinthians 4:7 “For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?”
Luke 17:10 “So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’ ””
1 Corinthians 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
I’ve only given back a small portion of what You have given me.
When someone graduates school. They are given an award for achievement. It is this gift that God gives to us, by saving us, discipling us, teaching us, sending us, sustaining us. We graduate in heaven and our reward is a testimony of the faithfulness of God in using us.
Note that when Abraham first saw the ram it was caught by its horns in a thicket of briers. This, surely, is a symbol of Jesus, crowned with thorns by the Jews before he was immolated.
Augustine of Hippo
Don’t expect an exalted crown while on this earth, they gave Jesus a crown of thorns.
Christ wore a crown on thorns on earth so we can live a life worthy of a crown of glory
