Jesus’s power of death & the grave
Jesus is the only one qualified to give us life
What Jesus’s resurrection means for us:
Salvation: Christ's resurrection is the cornerstone of our faith, signifying victory over sin and death. Through His resurrection, we have received His gift of salvation and eternal life.
Forgiveness of Sins: The resurrection demonstrates God's acceptance of Christ's sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. We are granted forgiveness and reconciliation with God through faith in Christ.
New Life: Just as Christ was raised from the dead, we are spiritually reborn and empowered to live new lives characterised by righteousness and holiness.
Hope: The resurrection offers us hope for the future, both in this life and the life to come. It assures us that God has the power to transform our circumstances and bring about redemption.
Victory over Death: Christ's victory over death through His resurrection assures us that physical death is not the end. Instead, it is a transition to eternal life with God.
Empowerment: The same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to us through the Holy Spirit, enabling us to live victoriously and overcome challenges.
Assurance of God's Promises: The resurrection validates the promises of God found all through Scripture, including the promise of eternal life, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and the fulfillment of God's kingdom.
Intercession: Christ, who is resurrected and seated at the right hand of God, intercedes on behalf of all believers, advocating for us before the Father.
Identity in Christ: We are united with Christ in His death and resurrection, confirming our identity in Him and our participation in His redemptive work.
. Transformation: The resurrection has the power to transform lives, renew minds, heal brokenness, and restore relationships, bringing about spiritual growth and maturity.
Communion with God: Through Christ's resurrection, we are reconciled to God and invited into a deep, intimate relationship with Him, marked by communion and fellowship.
Eternal Inheritance: We are heirs with Christ, sharing in His inheritance of eternal life and the glories of God's kingdom.
Romans 5:6–11 NKJV
6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
