Jesus is LORD over Creation, the Church and You. Does He have first place in your heart?
We like to come up with lists of prominent people. Mount Rushmore is a image of our greatest presidents. There was another Mount, the Mount of Transfiguration - where Jesus was declared the one and only! This is my beloved Son, hear HIM! Jesus is not prominent, he is PREEMINENT.

Jesus is the REVEALER of the Father.
Jesus is the REVEALER of the Father.
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact expression of His nature, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
We were made IN the image of God. Jesus IS the image!
If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
See also verse 19 - the fullness of God dwells in Christ. He is God very God.

He is the Firstborn over all Creation. Firstborn refers to His position, not origin. He was not created. He had no beginning.
The firstborn refered not just to the one who was born first, but to the one who had firstplace.
John 1:1–3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
He created all the spiritual beings in heaven. He is not just another angel, or an angel that was exalted. He is unique.
Jesus is the SUSTAINOR of all.

Jesus has provided reconciliation for you through his physical death therefore he deserves first place in your life.
Is he first in your time? Is he first in your week? Is he first in your affections?
