What is in your hand?

Jesus understands loss- Just before our text for this message Jesus loses someone very dear to Him- His Cousin John who was beheaded because He followed Jesus-
It is with this heavy loss where we pickup the story of Jesus
Matthew 14:13–14 CSB
When Jesus heard about it, he withdrew from there by boat to a remote place to be alone. When the crowds heard this, they followed him on foot from the towns. When he went ashore, he saw a large crowd, had compassion on them, and healed their sick.
The Crowds followed Jesus on foot-
The Ministry of Jesus was Revolutionary
they followed him to remote places and He ministered to them
John 6:36–39 CSB
But as I told you, you’ve seen me, and yet you do not believe. Everyone the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me. This is the will of him who sent me: that I should lose none of those he has given me but should raise them up on the last day.
Jesus;’ ministry was the will of God- Even though is went agaisnt man’s thouGht and option, and even eventually led to his death
JESUS DID THE WILL OF GOD
GOD WILL: 2 Peter 3:9
2 Peter 3:9 CSB
The Lord does not delay his promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.
And this is the reason Jesus came- It is the freedom that He offers
freedom from sin and the power of the devil

We need to understand - People are bound

Acts 10:38 CSB
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how he went about doing good and healing all who were under the tyranny of the devil, because God was with him.
TYRANNY:

katadunasteuo (καταδυναστεύω, 2616), “to exercise power over” (kata, “down,” dunastes, “a potentate”: dunamai “to have power”), “to oppress,”

Tyranny IS OPPRESSION!
The world is full of people who are oppressed by the Devil, and Jesus came to set them free
THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD!
Jesus does the will of God
Luke 4:18–19 CSB
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.
God Spirit is poured out for this very reason!

Faith reveals Truth- not fact

who’s report will you believe!
Hebrews 11:1 CSB
Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.
Reality- the assurance
John 17:17 CSB
Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
YOUR WORD IS TRUTH- THIS IS THE REALITY BY WHICH WE LIVE AND MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING
IF THIS SAYS IT THEN I BELIEVE IF AS REALITY
FACTS ARE ALWAYS THERE BUT GOD’S WORD IS TRUTH
HEALING COMES FROM THE REALITY OF GOD’S WORD BEING TURTH THEN THE FACTS CHANGE
SALVATION COME FROM THE TRUTH OF GOD’S WORD, AND TAKES THE WORSE OF THIS WORLD AND MAKES THEM INTO SAINTS.
THE RALITY IS GOD’S WORD IS TRUTH!
The Disciples find this out
Matthew 14:15–16 CSB
When evening came, the disciples approached him and said, “This place is deserted, and it is already late. Send the crowds away so that they can go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” “They don’t need to go away,” Jesus told them. “You give them something to eat.”
Jesus tells them to give them something to Eat
Here is a fact:
Matthew 14:17 CSB
“But we only have five loaves and two fish here,” they said to him.
This is the fact we only got five loves, and two fish, enough to possibly feed us
But the truth is we serve Jehovah Jireh the God of provision!
WE serve El Shaddai the God of more than enough
The facts may say you are sick, but I am here to tell you that we serve Jehovah Rapha, the Lord is Healing!
What we see as a lack God seeds as a seed, cause He is the God of increase!
1 Chronicles 4:10 CSB
Jabez called out to the God of Israel, “If only you would bless me, extend my border, let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not experience pain.” And God granted his request.
God is the God of increase!
Elijah and the widow: WHAT WASN’T ENOUGH FOR HER NEED GOD MULTIPLIED WHEN SHE SOWED IT INTO THE MINISTRY OF ELIJAH
The Fact was they didn’t have enough to feed the Five thousand- What God calls you to do He equips you, all you have to do is be willing
They only had five loaves and two fish, and that is all that God was asking for!
Peter learned this lesson what you have is all God needs
Luke 5:1–11 CSB
As the crowd was pressing in on Jesus to hear God’s word, he was standing by Lake Gennesaret. He saw two boats at the edge of the lake; the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. He got into one of the boats, which belonged to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from the land. Then he sat down and was teaching the crowds from the boat. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” “Master,” Simon replied, “we’ve worked hard all night long and caught nothing. But if you say so, I’ll let down the nets.” When they did this, they caught a great number of fish, and their nets began to tear. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them; they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’s knees and said, “Go away from me, because I’m a sinful man, Lord!” For he and all those with him were amazed at the catch of fish they had taken, and so were James and John, Zebedee’s sons, who were Simon’s partners. “Don’t be afraid,” Jesus told Simon. “From now on you will be catching people.” Then they brought the boats to land, left everything, and followed him.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE?

GOD CAUSES THE INCREASE IN OUR LIVES-
Matthew 14:18–20 CSB
“Bring them here to me,” he said. Then he commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them. He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. Everyone ate and was satisfied. They picked up twelve baskets full of leftover pieces.
Who Gave the bread and fish out? THE ONES WHO WERE CALLED TO DO IT
THE DISCIPLES FULFILLED WHAT JESUS HAD CALLED THEM TO DO BECAUSE JESUS MADE IT POSSIBLE
THIS IS THE WAY OUR LIVES AND MINISTRY WORK
WE ARE CALLED
YET IT IS JESUS WHO MAKES US ABLE

He is the God of More then enough

Matthew 14:20–21 CSB
Everyone ate and was satisfied. They picked up twelve baskets full of leftover pieces. Now those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
Everyone was satisfied, and yet they still picked up twelve baskets full of leftovers-
I laugh as I look and see that they knew the rough number of how many people were there-
Yet God didn’’t just meet the need He exceeded it!
Ephesians 3:20–21 CSB
Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us—to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
The God who does
far above
Far beyond
What I ask or even think
2 Corinthians 9:8 CSB
And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.
This is the God that We serve!

It doesn’t matter where you are

John 10:10 CSB
A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.
That abundant life starts where you are at now.
Isaiah 60:22 CSB
The least will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; I will accomplish it quickly in its time.
