Two Important Biblical Truths

God is sovereign.
Man can make real choices that matter.

What The Bible Does Not Teach

Fatalism / Determinism
Open Theism
Free will as defined by some people.
Hebrews 1:3 “He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.

What The Bible Does Teach

God is sovereign and will accomplish His purposes.
Man makes real choices that have real consequences.
God has chosen to act upon the prayers of His people.

What Does This Mean For My Life?

I should submit to the sovereignty of God.
In how to approach God.
In how I view morality.
In how I prioritize my life.
I shouldn’t be a person who worries.
I should take responsibility for my actions.
I should be a person of prayer.
