The Prayer

The Disciples asked the Lord to teach them tho Pray
We have learned that w are praying to and giving Honor to The Father
with everything we do and say we want to Glorify His name
we want His kingdom to come to earth
we want his kingdom to be over all the earth
we want King Jesus to be honored and respected as the King of kings
We want Jesus to be on the throne in Jerusalem taking charge of this world
to bring paradise to this war torn, hate filled planet
a righteousness and peace that only God can provide
an entrance into the kingdom that only God provides
we are turning our attention to the next phrase of our prayer
Give us today our daily bread
this petition is for us
this for our needs
food clothing medicines shelter
our physical needs
what we need to survive
read Luke 11 1-4

Give Us

this is a community petition
our family
our close church family
our around the world church family
we are all in the same boat, this is a universal need
and in the community there are needs
God uses people to do His work
God has used miracles before to feed people
ravens bringing food
the oil and meal in the bottom of the barrel that did not run out
Manna from Heaven
feeding to the 5000
these are all supernatural examples that we see in God’s word
but most of the time God uses me and you to provide
in James it says James 2 15-16
James 2:15–16 LSB
If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?
Proverbs 19:17 LSB
He who is gracious to a poor man lends to Yahweh, And He will repay him for his bountiful deed.
but on the other hand Proverbs has another saying for you to ponder
Proverbs 21:13 LSB
He who shuts his ear to the outcry of the poor Will himself also call and not be answered.
God provides for our daily bread
but He does it through the community

Our Petition

what are we saying when we ask for our daily bread?
we are informing our Lord unless He feeds us we will die
our pantry is full of food
why do we need to pray such a prayer?
Because God is the owner of everything
everything we have has been graciously been given to us by the Almighty
our Jobs
our abilities
our lives are all a gift from God
we acknowledging that without God we would cease to exist
the children of Israel went out every morning and collected manna that fell from Heaven
Every morning except for on the Sabbath
without this food from Heaven they would starve out in the desert
their shoes did not wear out not even a shoestring
they were totally dependent
just as we are
we just don’t know how fragile life is
how quick things can change

God’s Promise

Matt 6 25-34.
God knows you need these things
He has promised to take care of His own
you seek first His kingdom
and these clothing food living necessities will be given to you
will be supplied
your necessities have been given to another to give to you
when you rely on God for your daily food
when you are advancing His Kingdom
when you are more concerned with being the ambassador of righteousness
then with the worries of life God will provide
George Muller of Bristol, England built orphanages which cared and educated 1000's of children in the 1800's without ever asking any human  to supply his need, instead committing to ask only his Father in heaven. And the children never once went without a meal, food sometimes arriving by a knock at the door with the children seated at their tables with empty plates. Over his lifetime, Muller received donations that would be the equivalent of $180 million dollars today, all without an appeal letter, a phone call, a personal visit, etc.
Give us this day our daily bread
we are telling God unless you feed me I cannot live
