Judges 12: Jephthah's Flaming Tongue of Fire
The era of Jephthah’s leadership in Israel is yet another dark period of Israel’s history. In chapter 11, Jephthah tries to manipulate God through a rash vow, and the consequences could have very easily turned tragic. In chapter 12, his fiery tongue is on fill display as he incites war with the Ephraimites rather than providing a wise, soft answer that could have saved the lives of 42,000 men.
