August Landmesser was a 25 year old man that had joined the Nazi party and began moving up the ranks.
Not too long earlier he had married Irma Eckler, a Jewish woman
Then on June 13th, 1936 at the christening of a new naval ship, August took a defiant stand and refused to salut Hitler
This stand was captured in what has become an iconic image of standing up to evil
Not too different, in Chapter 3 of Daniel we will see an unwillingness to cave into evil

This was a planned out act of evil
