To the Jew first and also to the Greek for in it, the righteousness of God is revealed from Faith to Faith as it is written the righteous shall live by faith.

Word church that supports many missionaries from all over the world. We have missionaries in Africa and Asia in Europe and Latin America different parts of the United States. We reach the muslam. We reach the secular. We reach the Hindu we reach.

As many people as we possibly can and we do this through through missions. One group that often we don't think about. And we should. Is the Jewish people?

It is my firm belief. Especially concerning What God Says and what God is is Promised the people of Israel that God is not done with Israel. God is not finished with the Jewish people. In fact, I firmly believe there will be a great Revival among the Jewish people. I believe it with all my heart because I believe that's what God's word. And I believe that it's important that we share the gospel effectively. biblically and so it is it is a real treat for us today do have one of God's servants ministering to the Jewish people in the Chicago area part of chosen people Ministries. Let's welcome Pastor Roy Schwartz as he comes and ministers the word of God today.

God bless you all. Thank you so much for having me this morning Pastor and and brothers and sisters. It is a privilege to to be saved a privilege to be brought back to my people into my God. I was raised in New York City far from from a life of Faith really a bar mitzvah it in the Orthodox tradition, but my parents really were very secular. My mother was raised in Berlin Germany and at the age of 11 had to sleep with her family and managed to come to the United States and and resent it got started God had forsaken them. But but in his grace, he saved me and my sister and and the Lord has used us to share the gospel with our people and Kinsman and I work at in Chicago among the Jewish people. Planted the for Messianic congregations three in the Chicago area one Toronto Ontario and we've seen both Jews and Gentiles come to Faith and brought together in worship for filling with the gods real plan was that Israel would be a light to the nations in that the that the Lord would go forth from Jerusalem is yet to be fulfilled but that part of my work is a missionary to the Jewish people listed to be a part of making that possible the organization. I work with chosen people Ministries brings that gospel to to the Jewish people in Israel in New York and Florida and California and scores of Jewish people really more than that to come to Faith through through preaching the gospel this morning. Pastor has asked me to come and share with you what Romans 1:16 speaks of you know, we we we we we just read about the Gospel going to the Jew first, but the but the most important thing we see here is that the gospel is for everyone who believes a belief in Messiah is the only requirement Bacall phrase. He says how shall they hear? Unless someone be sent and so my job is a missionary is to represent you and bringing the gospel to the Jewish people as an ambassador to on your behalf declaring God's love to Israel. I love that would never end and will never in one of the ways that we know that God is faithful to us is his faithfulness to the Jewish people. If God cast off Israel, what would prevent him from casting us off? If God would renege on his promise to Abraham and his descendants 2 David and his offspring and to see what would prevent him from from casting us off. So one of the demonstrations of God's faithfulness to his people is it it to you until I in Messiah is that is that he is faithful to Israel. Let me have to question it if Paul writes this in Romans 1:16 the gospels to the Jew first, why do Jews have a priority? What does first this mean? What does it mean to bring the gospel to the Jew first? What scripture says Jews are chosen? We have a saying in the Jewish people about a guy or story about a Jewish man who dies goes to heaven ask for an audience with God and God granted he comes before God and says God is a truth. We are the chosen people. To which God responds? Yes. Mr. Abramowitz. You are the chosen people. To which mr. Brown would says well be half of the Jewish people. Could you please choose someone else?

If this is what it means to be chosen who needs it. Well Genesis chapter 12 says God indeed did choose the Jewish people for a reason and for a purpose and the purpose was that we would be a light to the Nations. But whom the Lord loves he disciplines and boy does he really love us? He's discipline. So so much in Deuteronomy chapter 4 verse 14 rather verse two were told the Lord has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession out of all the people who are on the face of the Earth and later Paul refer reaffirms this in Romans, 11, 28 and 29. He says his regards to the gospel their enemies of God for your sake. But as regards to the election their beloved for the sake of their far for Father's for the gifts and the callings of God are irrevocable when God makes a promise. It's not he loves me. He loves me not he loves me. He loves me. He loves me and you can count on his word. How are they enemies for our sake? Well, if we all Jews had accepted the Lord we probably would have kept it to ourselves. We weren't crazy about the Gentiles. We're still not crazy about them. It's so God said alright, I'm going to take a people who you say or not a people and I'm going to make them sons of the Living God and I'm going to use them to provoke you to jealousy. I remember when I came to say it was through Gentile Christians in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Was so upset. What was my chief upsetness that you guys were right and I was wrong. That's the hardest thing as Jews to accept that the Gentiles could be correct. And then we could be wrong. Why did God choose Israel Deuteronomy chapter 7 verses 7 & 8 we read it was not because you were more in number than any other people that the Lord said Is Love on you and shows you. For you with the fewest of all people but it was because the lord loves you and is keeping the oath of the sword of your father's it was not because of Any virtue but simply on the basis of its free choice and in the same way, he's chosen you I wasn't for you were chosen not because you were good not because you were right just not because you were smarter or wiser. For by Grace, have you been saved through faith and even that is not of yourselves? It's the gift of God, lets any man should boast. Why did God choose you?

Because he loves you. Golden Grace, why did Jews the Jews for the same reason? So the scripture teaches the Jews have a priority over Gentiles as guardians of God's word. We reading Romans 3 then what advantages did you much or what is the value of circumcision much in every way to begin with the Jews were entrusted with the Oracles of God. We were good at keeping the word of God in Romans chapter 9 we read their the Israelites into them too long the adoption the glory that Covenant the giving of the law on the worship from the promises. So we reading scripture that the Jews have a priority of Gentiles in that jeep. When he came did he come as a gentile? No. He came first to the Jew to the Jews and Romans 9 verse 5 to them too long the Patriarchs Patriarchs and from their race. According to the Flash's the Messiah who's got over all blessed forever. Amen. The focus of Jesus's Ministry was to Jewish people in Matthew 10, he told his disciples when he was sending them out. He said to the apostles go nowhere, but to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Anna Matthew 15 verse 20 40 since I was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. And so the Jews were a priority for Jesus in his Earthly Ministry.

We read also scripture that salvation is from the Jews and Romans 4:20 to speaking to the Samaritan woman who did come to Faith because Jesus stop and minister to her. He told her quite clearly you worship what you do not know we worship what we know for salvation is from the Jews.

The scripture shows that chosen Nation Israel is a chosen Nation there entrusted with God's word. The nationality is the nationality of the Messiah. Salvation is from the Jews. Which hole that the Olive Tree of which you have been grafted into it's a Jewish tree. What do you like it or not? Jesus made you kosher.

And made you one with his people. Until your history, your roots are Jewish roots. The natural branches my people my parents. My mother were broken separated from from God. An unnatural branches scripture says you were grafted in among them. Unbelieving Jews were cut off from the Covenant but Gentiles who believe are grafted in. Verses 17 and 18 of Romans 11 Aqua crucial to this important truth about as some of the branches were broken off and you or the wild house you were grafted in the Hmong the others and now she's in the nursing root of the Olive Tree. Don't be arrogant toward these branches. If you are remember, it's not you who supports the root The Roots supports you. There's a movement in Christianity today and where we're by the church is taught that that God has replaced Israel. with the church with believers He's not replace that he's grafted them in. He's made them partaker. It is centrally what that theology is his arrogance.

Salvation comes from the root of God's covenant.

It into a Jewish tree salvation is through God's covenant with Abraham through the Jewish people. In Jeremiah 31. God said these words Behold days are coming declares the Lord when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel of the house of Judah not like the Covenant when I wish I made with their fathers in the day. I took them to bring them out of the land of Egypt my Covenant which they broke although I was a husband to them declares the Lord but this is the covered I will make with the house of Israel after those days. They close the Lord. I put my law within them and on their heart, I will write it and I will be there God and and they shall be my people and so the New Covenant that was spoken by Jeremiah is a Jewish New Covenant of which you are not partakers of God blinded us for your sake.

And you might have life. Paul understood his priority He said the next chapter 13 Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly saying it was necessary speaking to the Jewish people that the word of God to be spoken to you first, since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy to turn lights behold. Now we go to the Gentiles, but that would that wasn't the end of it and the very next city and chapter 14th. He went to Iconium and there he preach the gospel to the Jew first.

Can I see results of bringing the gospel to the Jew first? Multitude of Gentiles came to the Lord. Why won't you answer influential? Even in there blind even in their hardness to the gospel. They still are influential. How many of you have a Jewish doctor a Jewish lawyer? Jewish accountant

And their influential influence the world. We have a Zeal for God but not according to knowledge and we need that now is that knowledge is Jesus. He is the only way that we can influence the world for good and that's why Paul always brought the gospel to them first because multitude of Gentiles were influenced by the Jewish people. They wanted in on what they had and when the gospel was given to them and rejected by them multitude of Gentile said, wow, we can have this

multitudes of Gentiles came to Faith In addition to Jewish people This priority. Yes, it's true. We are chosen. Yes. We are bringing the gospel to them first, but priority has a downside. The name is chapter 3 we read you only I have known of all the families of the earth. Therefore. I will punish you for all your iniquities Romans 2:9 that we tribulation in distress for every human being who does to the Jew first and also to the Greek but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good to the Jew first and also to the Greek the Romans 1:16 teaches that the Jews have a have a priority. They are the chosen people of God. The Guardians of God's word. They they came when when Jesus came he came as a Jew to the Jews that salvation is from the Jews. The New Covenant is Jewish. They were Vangelis first in the in the diaspora in the in the in the dispersion of the Jews to the nation's by Paul. But they're also first in judgement. So, how did you was not have a priority? Well this to is important. We need to understand that not everything about Jewish. That's Jewish. It has a priority. They don't have priority in righteousness. We're all on the same footing in Romans. 3 were told what then are we use any better off? No, not at all for you've already charged that both Jews and Greeks are under sin as it is written. None is righteous at 1. There's no distinction were told in Romans 3 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God so Jews don't have priority in righteousness. No Jews have no priority also and how we come to Faith or how were saved in Romans 3:20. Nine is God the god of Jews only is he not the god of the Gentiles as well? Yes of Gentiles to just got his one who will Justified is circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith Romans 10, we read in verses 12 and 13 for There's no distinction between Jew or Greek for the same. Lord is Lord of all but still in his riches on all who call on him for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Moreover we have no priority in the Covenant blessings. You have come to Faith In Jesus are full Partners in the blessings of salvation. I'm no closer to God than you.

So why then mention this priority to bring the gospel to the Jew first? Well in light of Romans 11 17 through 32 Paul calls for humility. On the part of Gentiles and the part of choose. That's the that's the bottom line. God wants us to be humble about his salvation. We all depend on God's mercy all of us or salvation. It's not on our tradition or ethnicity Gentiles are not saved by their Greek culture or any other culture. Salvation came through with the despised Jews. You don't support the root. God says the root supports you don't post over the branches Gentiles become saved by become by becoming partakers with Israel by becoming more spiritual Jews and as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness so much the son of man be lifted up. They were the children of Israel in the wilderness. They were matching. It's a good year this word. If you don't know that word learning scratching, it means to complain your children do it often. You did when you were a child and when is Israel complained in the wilderness God since Serpent's among them and they were dropping like flies. They cried out to Moses forgive us our sin. And God said I take the serpent that cursive image the serpent make eight and the idol of it. Whoever will believe in him will have everlasting life with your a Jew. Origins Mission humble Gentile Christians in and remove arrogance and posting for God use it a Jewish man to bring Salvation to the nation's it should eliminate anti-Semitism and fill Gentile Believers with Zeal to evangelize Jewish people. The words also to the Greek was offencive to the Jews Justice to the Jew first is offencive to the Gentiles. Both of us need to be humble in this truth, but God takes people. Wants us to Humble ourselves before him that we might be saved. Both of us are to be humble. We're all sinners. It's the gospel. That is the power of God to everyone who believes Jew and Gentile. It's so me. We need to come to Faith in humility with Thanksgiving. Historically Jews have been influential influential they are God's firstborn among the Nations. They remain influential to today today because the gifts in the callings of God are irrevocable. God gave to Israel a double portion. Why because they were to be priests in the nation. They were to minister God's love and instruct the nations in the ways of God and those gifts are irrevocable. That's why we need to be brought the gospel. Cuz when we come to Faith God's going to use those gifts to teach the nations in those days end of the Nations will grab the Garment of juice. So they let me go with you and that will only be accomplished if we come humbly to the Lord. The only way we coming humility is by prayer.

We need to humbly come before the Lord to and Gentiles and Jews have a key role in and bringing the gospel to the nations with the only way they'll comes to prayer. Please pray for them.

Listen, we live in exciting times. God is doing incredible things among Israel. It is his his his put them strategically at the crossroads of the world. It's right there at the center of of Africa Europe and and and Asia Israel's right in the middle. They become a thorn to the nation's. The nation's now we're trying to divest themselves from Everything Jewish because they they were people cursed of God there there. There are people who think they are righteous while we're lost people. We need Jesus and when we are brought the gospel. When you pray and when you support and send missionaries to them God promises he will bless you and when we come to Faith we're going to bless the Nations we're going to be a blessing God will humble us and use us to be the people were called to be a nation of priests a light to the Nations That's why Paul always went when he went from town to town to the Jewish people first. Not only Jewish people came to say punch in the house as well. Until when Paul says I'm not ashamed of the Gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes to the Jew first and also to the Gentile fort in it. Bring the gospel to the Jew first the righteousness of God is revealed. We're not better. But where his first born? God desires to use his first born to bless the Nations. Israel is my son my firstborn since you were struck my first born God said the Pharaoh. Is it leading power when England prevented the Jews at their need at the height of their greatest need during the Holocaust and forbid Jews from entering Israel. The only place that we would have them. It England became not the greatest of Nations but began to drop his seniority among the Nations America has been a blessing for the Jewish people, but it's beginning to turn it back. I pray that we not do that. And we bring the gospel the church will be powerful and blessed if we be bless them with the gospel. That's the most important lesson is giving them the gospel. Sharing with them that apart from Jesus there is no righteousness, but with him comes righteousness and calling and witness and so I urge you brothers and sisters to bring the car to the Jewish people and if you will, would you join me in prayer?
