In an attempt to attract more women, the regional authorities in southern Taiwan have built a church in the shape of a massive high-heeled shoe. The shape of the building is a poor excuse for going to church. Further investigation discovers it is a government building designed to bring brides to the region for their weddings. It will not be used for regular church services.
Its existence does gives us pause to reflect on how important our buildings are to our worship. Jesus said we must worship God. It must happen in spirit and truth, not shoe shaped steel and glass. — Jim L. Wilson and Rodger Russell
John 4:24 (HCSB) “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
